My first experience having Peruvian food, and definitely not my last! A friend of mine invited me here for dinner and introduced me to her culture and tried out some popular Peruvian dishes: Lomo Saltado, Causa Tasting Sampler, and Fish Ceviche When I tell you I was speechless, I really was! I could not believe how different this food was from my expectations. It was sooo delicious- the combination of flavours were new to me for the causa and the saltado dish. All were so savory and making me want more! I was so full by the end of dinner but I wanted to order more lol. The ambiance is also very Cosy but elegant. They sometimes have live performances on site which from what I've seen online looked amazing! Drinks: there is a signature drink that they recommend, which consists of a juice made from the cobs of blue corn. It reminded me so much of mulled wine but without the alcohol, with a sweetness that was perfectly balanced. I highly recommend coming here and giving the food a try. It is probably best to go in a large group to be able to try other dishes. One thing to note is that the prices are a little higher than I expected, but given the quality of the food, it makes sense. But just an important FYI

Great quality at a small location. Food was fresh and service attentive. Will stop back next time in the area.

She insisted of you buying 5 pcs as I think she's afraid that the rest of the bread will not be bought and will be old and stale . Too bad , business for her goes by the bulk . I can see a lot of her bread goes to the display for many days in a week as bulk as most people can't afford to buy the wholebulk of 5 pcs for $7.75 per bag . Some people like me can't eat 5 and can't afford the bulk. I went there while it's freshly baked and she won't sell 1-2 pcs only. I'm new to the Joyce area and saw that Mexican store. Bread is good to eat when it's freshly bake. Too bad , I don't buy and she just lost one of the few customers who can't buy the bread by bulk . She should learn from the Chinese business where you sell from 1 pc to bulk cause that's how successful business is done . Bread goes moldy and bad in a day or 2 and hers are displays on the shelf for days as she refused to sell it by piece or 2 and she will have more customers that way than by bulk . Sad she don't learn from other techniques of selling. Really sad for her business and customers as well.

This is my go to place for Corn Tortilla Shells! They have large packages of 100 that are kept in the cooler for freshness. I prefer these ones to the smaller packages on the shelf in the super markets...filled with preservatives! They also have the different sizes! I love getting the small street taco size that you can't find everywhere! They carry Valentine's Hot Sauce as well which we have found very important for a good taco! Recently a friend of ours from Mexico had us for dinner and served us Hibiscus Juice made from dried Hibiscus Flowers. It was so good she sent us home with a little baggie and said Los Guerreros sells them! I will be heading there this week because we all loved the juice! Thankful for stores that carry unique, quality ingredients. Allowing people to experience the richness that other cultures bring...oh how I love this about Canada!

I'm usually not a fan of Octopus but this one was just amazing and my most favourite dish here - it came with roasted yam and topped with chimichurri. The octopus was cooked to perfection, not at all chewy! The other dishes I would recommend would be their Peruvian corn bricohe that cae with a chimichurri and fresh truffles spread and their truffled chicken pappardelle. For drinks, our server told us that they got a michelin star for it and I'm not surprised. All the cocktails were so unique and also delicious! I got their ritual and threads - both were not too sweet and not very alcohol forward. I would definitely come back here for a special occasion. Even their service was stellar!

The restaurant has an amazing ambiance and is covered in greenery and warm, earthy tones to simulate the Peruvian homeland. Our server was helpful with ordering and offered various suggestions and features. We opted to share a feature cocktail, which I forgot the base of, but it was topped with a yummy sweet potato foam and went well with the various dishes we had for dinner. We started with the ceviche bar and selected the hamachi tiradito. This was a dish full of many flavours and textures. I found the dish pleasing to my taste buds, but a bit overwhelming as there were several different components on the dish (various sauces, garnishes). The featured pastry dish was delicious! I enjoyed the sweet and salty flavour profile from the meat and raisins with a bit of spice from the Peruvian-style sauce on top. Our main dishes were both fantastic as well. The truffled chicken pappardelle with shaved truffle on top was yummy, and the pasta was definitely fresh and made in-house. The walnuts added were a simple but excellent touch for added texture. The duck rice was also a solid staple, and I loved the additional duck meat mixed within the cilantro beer rice. Finally, we ended with the strawberry mousse cake for dessert. It was not my favourite as I found it a bit too sweet, but the yogurt was refreshing, and the texture was soft. We definitely were overexcited and ordered a bit too much, which left us with leftovers. Visually, everything we ordered was stunning, and although some of the dishes were a bit underwhelming, I enjoyed the experience overall and would like to experiment with other menu items and cocktails again.
