The final straw that'll stop me from coming back was the tater tots. They've always been really good but this most recent trip were the plainest tater tots I've ever had. It seemed like they were air fried or something, completely flavorless and not a single gram of salt on them. This place has gone from awesome hangout, to "it's expensive, but the food is still solid" to "never again" prices and food quality.

We had a very solid IPA & coffee stout There was an odd experience of someone pulling into the parking lot, coming inside to use the restroom, then proceeding to cordially ask each table if they could spare $10 for gas money. When this cow wanders in, there might be stouts being slowly savored near the fireplace, humans discussing ancient literature, a family laughing over a half-finished pizza, or a nearby table deep into a heated game of Magic the Gathering with ESBs and cider in hoof. It's cozy, communal, and usually feels just right. One thing this cow respects -- the beer here is strong, and it's not brewed for the weak. There's nothing on tap that isn't unique or intentional. That said, this also means Bardic isn't for everyone. The average beer drinker looking for a simple, easy-drinking West Coast IPA that isn't pushing 9% ABV may leave unsatisfied, and that likely eliminates a large portion of beer drinkers in the area. For adventurous palates, though, this place is a treat. Lately, this cow has noticed the welcome hasn't been quite as warm as it used to be. The beer and food remain excellent, but the last few visits felt a bit less friendly. A smile or a greeting would go a long way in restoring the inviting feel this pasture is known for. Nothing has soured, and this cow will return. Met a couple of friends here after work. Like many places, they appear to have staffing shortages. There was only one person working, which meant they would disappear when food was ordered to prepare it. We understood and were patient. Our server was not very friendly, but was trying to handle everything. Music was not to our taste and rather loud which didn't really make it easy to relax after work.

They sell beer drinker's comfort food; sausages, potato chips, etc., along with all the fix'ens. The range of types of beers is phenomenal. From light, to medium to dark stouts. All are listed with their alcohol content. I saw one the other day that was over 12%! The strong ones linger around 7 or 8%. Beer types change as they brew more.
