And after paying that price, you're not even waited on. You order at the counter and go and pick up your food, fill and refill your own fountain drinks, and dispense your own sauces before bussing your own table. The final straw that'll stop me from coming back was the tater tots. They've always been really good but this most recent trip were the plainest tater tots I've ever had. It seemed like they were air fried or something, completely flavorless and not a single gram of salt on them. This place has gone from awesome hangout, to "it's expensive, but the food is still solid" to "never again" prices and food quality.

One of those was One Tree Cider. They bottle and are widely distributed all over Washington state so I've been aware of them for a while. One flavor that had me intrigued the most was their Lemon Basil cider. I do love basil and lemon! But truth be told I thought the cider was very sweet... too sweet is likely because it was difficult to taste the basil or the lemon. I know with a certain touch of the cider itself and those two primary flavors could be balanced and featured evenly as I've experienced this with cider but it may be hard to do to master this as I don't come across this often but only from time to time.

Met a couple of friends here after work. Like many places, they appear to have staffing shortages. There was only one person working, which meant they would disappear when food was ordered to prepare it. We understood and were patient. Flavors detected in this wonderful cider was a very fine and elegant apple profile with elements of bitterness and a hint of a purposeful sulfur flavor all amounting to a very full taste of this wonderful and unique cider! I tried just a taste of the vanilla bean, and he said they order Madagascar vanilla beans monthly to make the flavor. It's low alcohol, about 5%, and it was like a dessert. I love vanilla, and I love cider so the combo was perfect. I left to workout and came back, and tried the blackberry (tart) and the maple (sweet, def can taste the maple) but decided on a small of the vanilla because I just love it and it's totally unique. I ended up doing a flight and got the POG, Lingering heat, Maple, Vanilla Bean, blackberry, and Honey Perry. My favorites were the Lingering Heat and POG. I think some of these ciders, the POG especially, would be delicious in a cocktail. I'm glad we finally got the chance to try their cider! We will hopefully be back!!
