Dr. Tran is the best in the business. She is not only professional but she cares about her patients and the health of their eyes. I got all of my kids checked, one of them had an astigmatism. Dr. Tran was vigilant in finding a solution to correct her vision. She put on the trial frames and the look on my daughters face was priceless, as if she had just discovered what the world actually looked like. It was a wholesome and emotionally experience. I was looking for an optometrist that was closer to my house, and thankfully, Yelp led me to this place. Located just east of In N Out, this place sits in a min-strip mall. The optometrist that I met was great. Very personable and I think she was very thorough. She even noticed that I was developing a cataract in one of my eyes, which hadn't been seen before with other doctors, so at least now I know I have it. The office itself is pretty basic and wasn't so over-the-top fancy that I felt like I was going to pay more than I wanted to for glasses. I was able to find a pair that I liked, and I appreciated that the person helping me wasn't trying to up-sell me on frames or lenses. Best of all, my glasses arrived when they told me they would. I initially started seeing Doctor Edelson when I was 19. I thoroughly enjoyed the level care and expertise. After he retired I began to see Doctor Tran who equally is great in her quality of care in therapeutic interventions to maintain healthy eyes. I really enjoy her tips and methods to work with my special eyes as I have a high stigmatism. I moved to LA and refuse to seek another optometrist . I am now in my 30's... I came in for a annual checkup and I had the pleasure of meeting the Optometry Assistant Donovan who was hands down out of this world. We just received our notice for our routine examination. This notice dredged up our horrible and expensive experience with Inland Family Optometry. My wife and I both had eye exams and purchased glasses. There are extra fees for examinations which are normally included in the fees with other companies. One pair of glasses I purchased can never be properly adjusted to prevent them from slipping off of my head when I bend down. The lenses continuously protrude out of the frame. This was repaired once at the office and the problem was not corrected. The glasses were then returned to the frame company which did not resolve the problem. I took the glasses into the office again and I was told that they could not be returned to the frame company again, and they can['t be fixed here so I would just have to live with the problem. The prices for frames and lenses are very high and are not competitive, nor does Inland Family Optometry stand behind their product. I would not recommend this company. read more

I have been going to Dr. Edelson's office for over 20 years. I used to go to the Chino location but switched to the Rancho location. Both Dr. Tran and Dr. Edelson are very good but the receptionist at the Rancho location are not very nice! They look at me like I am a stranger every time I go in. They make you feel like you are bothering them and when I call they don't even let me finish my sentence before they cut me off. I am definitely switching back to the Chino location where the receptionists are friendly and make you feel welcome. I've grown up since I was 7 going there and I don't like feeling like I'm a random patient when I walk in or call. But again, both doctors are great and work at both locations. So if you can, go to the one in Chino. They provide much better service. read more

He has been very pleasant everytime I have come in. This practice is lucky to have him. As there isn't a lot of young black men working. He is very smart kind speaks of god. I'm on a short trip and messed up my glasses. I drive to this optometrist and Laura answered the phone. I told her I was not a patient of theirs but needed to have my glasses adjusted was her office able to help? She was very kind and said yes she would take a look. I was able to go inside and she fixed my glasses and even left them sparkly clean. Very kind people! The guy that works there was also very kind and greeted me as well. Wow. My friend/coworker recommended this eye doc and they did not disappoint. I am so happy we went there. The place my husband and son had been going to for years was way too expensive. They wanted to charge us $70 out of pocket for a contact lens exam, here we only paid $14 out of pocket. So needless to say our old eye doc just lost 2 customers. Dr. Tran is great! She is extremely helpful and informative. She takes time with you to ensure your experience is the best. My insurance did not cover frames I originally wanted. I brought in my own frames and they were able to have them sent out for new lenses to be cut and placed in. I used to come here since I was seven . I'm 26 now and regretfully time has definitely changed for the worse . The receptionists are rude . They do not work with your schedule . Office hours are inconvenient to those who work. I would think my long time client business would help with service but it did not . I had to come back to get my glasses reevaluated and I'm still unhappy with them even after the adjustment . I will be going elsewhere due to poor customer service and a wrong prescription . I wasted a lot of money here over 300!... They still have jolly ranchers tho! My kids were being fussy and I got those looks from the receptionsist ... I speak Spanish and could hear them talking about other clients which is very unprofessional. Horrible, rude front desk. I'm sure she is the office mgr. She has the I don't care about your problem attitude. Doesn't try to defuse the bad situation but simply comes off with a F it attitude. I wouldn't reccomend this establishment . Small selection of choices but that didn't matter to me but the office mgr's attitude did.Tried to purchase two pair of glasses and was dealt bad service. Waiting time to get my purchase back was unacceptable. And when I finally got one pair back it had a defect. I asked for my $$ back and I will take my business elsewhere. I brought my kids (age 4 and age 2) here for their first eye exams. I was a bit nervous about how they would do, but the entire experience was wonderful! The office was very clean and well-organized. The staff was friendly and accomodating. We were seen right at our scheduled time. Dr. Tran was so good with my kids! She was patient, warm, and very thorough. She really explained everything she was doing in detail and we never felt rushed. The kids loved it so much that at the end of their appointments they asked if they "could come back every day." She really made it fun for them. As a mom, it makes me so happy to see my kids having pleasant experiences with doctors! I can only hope they won't grow up fearing doctors and dentists as I did. Really appreciated that we were able to get seen pretty quickly. My tween was not too thrilled about getting his eye checked (he had a bruised, puffy eye like someone had hit him and had discomfort). Dr. Tran was great - she examined him, asked questions and even made him smile?! I can see how he relaxed with her and my anxiety went down. Thank goodness it was not anything too serious - And I was able to avoid an urgent care visit. On my way out, I noticed some nice frames and wish I had more time to look around. I have been coming to this office for quite some time. Dr Edelson takes his time and cares about his clients. On the other hand the front desk receptionists are very rude, Laura in particular. She is so rude, not friendly at all and is not there for the clients. She will not try to help you in any way and if you want something done you have to do her job. I picked a pair of Tiffany frames and they broke having them a little over a year. When i called, she was not interested and then said there is nothing she could do. I called the vendor myself and they stated if she would have called they would exchanged them, she does not want to go the extra mile. She is not professional, does not acknowledge you, and appears you are bothering her. I called this year to make the appointment for our 2 year check up thinking it was going to be better, i was wrong and immediately felt her rudeness. As a client I do not have to put up with this kind of service, services I pay for. After doing some investigation and making some calls, including my insurance. I decided to change to leave the Rancho Cucamonga office and move to the Chino office. BOY WHAT A DIFFERENCE!! TERI and DOMINIQUE are AWESOME!! They are professional, friendly, helpful and made you feel welcomed. It was the best move I made. I just wish I would have made the change years ago. Let's just say they took care of us like Royalty. It was our first time seeing Dr Tran, what a great experience, she took her time during the exam, went over the best options for you as a client, simply amazing.
