I took my time doing the hike--listened to some music; noticed the different plants; took breaks; and then, took my headphones off to really soak in nature. It was so therapeutic. Once I reached the final point, I noticed it was quite packed when I went around fall season; and I'm not surprised. The weather was perfect to dip in the hot springs; and the colorful fall leaves made my experience extra vibrant. The water was clean; temperature of water varies depending on where you're sitting; and each area vary in size. As for someone who enjoys exploring and all the adventures, I decided to take my time to sit in each hot springs. Honestly, my favorite is the first one as the hiker approaches the start of hot springs. It's not big, but it's more secluded. It has a nice balance of shade and sunlight; little waterfalls; and some rocks to hop over and/or sit on. I felt as if it was part of my backyard, lol. I couldn't help but to take so much pictures. I'm definitely coming back again during the spring or summer to experience it differently.

We didn't want to pay for a hot spring since the other ones were busy and the "natural" element is no longer there. However, we weren't as prepared as we thought we were. We visited this hot spring in late December which meant a lot of the roads leading there were closed due to the snow. We walked about 1 mile before reaching the trailhead. Once you reach a sign that points straight and right, take the right to cross the small bridge towards the side of the mountain. Our saving grace was google maps but it wasn't fully accurate at times. Remember that once you cross that bridge, the river should stay on your right until you reach the springs. This trek was TOUGH and feels like 10 miles (when it's only about 5) because of the hills and thick snow/ice. We did not have spikes or sticks to help so we had to rely on each other and our surroundings. It took about 2.5 hours going since we didn't stop and were going fairly quickly and this is coming from someone who does not hike regularly. There was a portion of the hike that was a uphill climb using a rope which was probably the scariest part for me because it was icy and not stable (hence why spikes would help). Once you near the springs, the smell of sulfur becomes strong and the river begins changing color from clear to blue. There are 2 spots that is on google maps, the first one was very busy but it was not the main attraction. We kept walking and got to the actual fifth water hot springs which was still kind of busy but enjoyable. We got into both the hot springs and the cold springs and it was a very cool experience. The hike back was much faster since we knew where we were going but still hard. If you want to challenge yourself to a hike with a cool and relaxing reward of being in the hot springs, I would recommend this hike! I'm sure it's easier when it's not snowy/icy but being in naturally hot pools while your surroundings are covered in snow is beautiful and I would do this again. Tips: -We forgot towels which was a rookie mistake so make sure to take some! -Remember to take off any jewelry prior to going/getting in the hot springs because the sulfur will tarnish it. -Wear thick socks to avoid frozen toes. -The hike itself was beautiful so remember to look up and enjoy the scenery instead of always looking down at the trail. -Start EARLY because it will take at least half a day to complete

So imagine our surprise when we arrive for a two night stay during spring break at this "resort" and have no idea where to park as everything is under construction. We finally circle a dirt parking lot a few times trying to find a building to check-in but all we find is an empty golf cart saying guest services. I try repeatedly calling the office # on my reservation yet no one answers. We finally come across another family that tells us we can walk all the way around or wait until a golf cart arrives. Well we have several pieces of luggage so we wait. And wait. And wait. Then the golf cart shows up and there is no way we can fit all of our items on, so we had to wait for a second cart. The check-in process was fine except for the rude gal who seemed annoyed by my questions, like how long does the construction go on throughout the day. 6am-10pm by the way. There is a small "restaurant" on site called The Sunroom but is only open Friday & Saturday. The Milk House serves a few premade items that get heated up in a microwave and taste weeks old and during our stay one gal was taking care of the whole place. The room was okay. The pullout bed was awful and the patio would be nice if you enjoy listening to a huge jackhammer and the beeping noises of other construction vehicles from sunup till after sundown. The tv reception was hit & miss and there were no children's channels. There was a sound machine that helped slightly. The itty bitty bottles they left us for the shower did not suffice for 3 humans. Oh and if you need ice, you have to ask the front desk. The only highlight of our stay was the pools. They were enjoyable and each had a different temperature that could make you comfortable whether you like them cooler, warmer or hot. Also, everything is handled via text. They don't answer phones, and even texts take awhile to return. The day before we were to check out I asked specifically for a cart to pick us up at 11:30am, we waited and waited and no one showed up, so I then again texted asking for a pickup. This resort was expensive for just a decent room and a pool. The Best Western would have been nicer. They either need to make future guests more aware of the lack of amenities and discount the pricing for false advertisement. Eventually this is going to be a very nice Marriott resort and by then the price will have doubled for a stay. However, our family was beyond disappointed in the money paid for what should have been a relaxing getaway.

Great experience here at Antelope Island State Park. My friend and I visited in the late afternoon…read moreafter arriving at the airport around noon, and checking out Golden Spike National Historic Site. The day had been quite rainy, and the timing worked out perfectly as the skies cleared up later in the day. Just a quick heads up! At the time of writing, there is no potable water available on the island. Bring your own and bring plenty of it. Also there is an entry fee to cross the causeway to get onto the "island" which really isn't an island anymore because of low water levels. There is an AM station that provides information updates as you enter - make sure to check in out and stay in the know. Because we hadn't brought much water with, we decided to keep our hiking to a minimum. We were also just off the plane from the east coast, so decided to take it easy with hiking our first day at the elevation. Our first stop was at Ladyfinder Point - we took the short trail out to the point for some views! Then after that, we really wanted to get down to the water so we made our way over to Bridger Bay Beach access. From the parking area to the water is a bit of a hike given that the water levels are so low. We parked near the first bathouse and made our way down through the sand. I had opted for sandals, but the flipflops made navigating the san difficult, so I went barefoot which was a bit uncomfortable because the sand it quite coarse. But, as we got further out the sand is more compacted and the sandals were ok. About halfway out to the water, we noticed a bison in the distance. It was walking south quite a bit away from us, so we continued north to the water and kept a really good distance. Down near the water, be prepared for MANY bird carcasses and the brine flies got pretty thick as you near the water. Just keep going because it is worth it. We stood in the clear waters of the Great Salt Lake and enjoyed the breeze and setting sun. It was well worth it to go all the way down. After a short stay by the water we headed back. It was at this point that we noticed the Bison from earlier had headed in the direction of the trailhead near the showers. We again kept our distance and had no issues, but our concern was growing. We made a bit of a detour to give the bison a wider berth, but at this point he was clearly moving toward the same point we were headed to. Keeping eyes on him and picking up speed we made it back to the shower building and rinsed our feet. Meanwhile, the bison continued to make his way up the beach stopping occasionally and then continuing on. We had retreated a bit behind the concrete walls of the shower building as the bison continued walking toward us. At one point I finally decided that we should probably get to the car. Which we did... After getting in the car and preparing to depart, we turned our head and lo and behold - but who should appear. That bison! He popped up out of the trail and began scratching himself on the shower building walls were we had been standing moments ago. Then he stopped, stared at us and we had a moment of panic that the rental car might get some damage. Luckily, the bison was not in the mood for a confrontation and he lumbered through the parking lot acros the road and up the other side of the hill, scratching his head on some low trees. Honestly, it was a bit of a anxiety-inducing experience yet thrilling at the same time. After our little encounter, we made our way toward Buffalo Point where we hiked up to Altar Rock and back. On the drive up we saw the island's namesake - two young antelope cavorting around the open spaces like two kids without a care in the world. It was entertaining and memorable for sure! The hike to Buffalo Point was a short but rewarding little hike and it was perfect as the sun was starting to set. Not wanting to hike back in the dark, we didn't stay out until true sunset, but we did get some great photos and made our way back. Apparently the park has a Dark Sky designation, and we had toyed with the idea of staying until dark, BUT the skies had grown overcast again, and after a long day of travel we made the decision that we needed to get an In-N-Out burger for dinner and head to the hotel to rest and prepare for our long hike the next day. Antelope Island was a great choice, and I am so glad we experienced even just a small percentage of the island. It was well worth it and I would definitely go back!

The food, however, was just average. My dining partner and I ordered a salad and the steak & frites to share and we were underwhelmed. The "frites" were just regular french fries (we expected much skinnier, flavorful fries) and the steak was very overdone. It wasn't bad enough to send it back, but it didn't wow us. The pool and jacuzzi down below, however, were a nice after-drink treat. Everything was clean and well maintained and not crowded at all.

This is one of the best ski resorts I've been to, though may not be ideal for beginners, as some of…read morethe blue runs feel tougher than black diamonds at smaller resorts. This was my first season skiing, and my first time here I made the mistake of going up Gadzoom and Little Cloud chairs and got cliffed out in Little Cloud Bowl with all the black diamonds. I wasn't going to call ski patrol to take me down in the basket like my friend did at the top of Gadzoom after having a panic attack, and slowly, tediously made my way down. It was quite the adventure, looking back. I couldn't believe how long it took and how much distance and vertical drop I covered to get to the bottom; the runs here are some of the longest I've been on. One benefit of this resort over Alta is not needing parking reservations during weekends, which saved my ski day one Saturday I tried going to Alta without a parking reservation, then had to come here after talking to the parking attendant there putting $250 tickets on cars without reservations. The skiable area is massive here as well, and there's a whole other skiable side of the mountain (Mineral Basin) with breathtaking views you get to by taking this conveyer belt thing through a secret mining tunnel. The hoards of snowboarders do cause way more lines and congestion here than Alta, and I had to wait in line for a while for the tram on a Saturday. Luckily I soon found the secret tunnel I won't disclose the location of, and was able to ski at Mineral Basin with no lines the rest of that day. There's a lot more moguls and worse snow coverage here than Alta as well, though this year was an extreme outlier and the worst snow year in 4+ decades. It's a shame the Ikon pass only has 7 days to split between here and Alta, as I used up most of my days at Alta and didn't get a chance to explore all the different areas of this vast resort this season.

We stayed in room 1695, which is an Executive Suite with an entry foyer, living room, bedroom, large closet/storage space, expansive bath with nice tub and separate shower. There was also a second sink area outside of the bathroom, which made it very easy for our family of 4 to get ready. The finishes and details of the entire room were exquisite and very nicely thought out. It felt luxurious! I visited the spa one afternoon for a pedicure with Madison. It was an incredible experience! After my appointment, I took a shower in the 17-head shower room and it was SUBLIME. The mandarin shampoo and conditioner in the shower felt silky and smelled amazing - my hair felt so nice that I came back the next day to purchase the shampoo to take home. My kids loved the pools - it felt fun to them that there were two. I thought the indoor pool was nicer and had a really spa-like ambiance with beautiful glass chandeliers and luxurious loungers. The outdoor pool area just didn't seem as special as I was expecting for a hotel like this, but was still great. I appreciated that they had a 1' toddler pool tucked off to the side. Very nice showers - individual shower stalls with shampoo and body wash. The pool menu for food and bar was perfect! Ordered a delish salad and a fun summer cocktail. Poolside service from Ethan was surly and inattentive, but the food was something I would order again which made up for it. A highlight that we'll always remember from our stay is breakfast at Laurel. We started 3 of our 4 mornings here and it was an absolute treat. Servers Rob and Tatiana were stars. All 4 of us agreed that the food was phenomenal and I appreciated that they offer veggie breakfast meat options. Every detail in the service was elevated and just a great experience. (We walked across the street to The Coffee Shop at Little America for breakfast the 4th morning and it was also a wonderful experience! Coffee Shop is a misnomer, as it is a comfortable sit down restaurant that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner.) Jou Jou, the toy and candy shop off the lobby is CHARMING! It's a destination for anyone, not just hotel guests. We spent a lot of time (and money) poking around here. Really nice brands, unique toys, fun puzzles and games, amazing dress up things, tons of Jellycat! Everyone we encountered working there was friendly and engaging. My kids also loved watching the marble track in the window outside the store. The only aspects of our room that I didn't think were up to The Grand America snuff were the beds and bedding. I didn't find them to be super comfortable, the pillows were very thin and I thought the duvets seemed to be for a bed a size smaller. Despite this, I still give the overall stay 5 stars. Every other aspect made up for it!

Originally I booked a king room and called prior to visiting and the front desk staff helped to change our room to a double queen. The room was located on a high floor with a beautiful Mountain View. We were impressed with the room size and the bathroom set up that allowed two of us to get ready at the same time without having to share a space. During our stay we visited the pools (indoor and outdoor) and were lucky enough to get a seat outdoors. We were told it can take up to 2 hours to get seats. Luck was on our side. While out there we ordered virgin daiquiris and some fries (our usual snack of choice on vacay). The indoor pool was virtually empty and very relaxing as the outdoor pool had every seat taken on a hot summer day. After the pool we grabbed some ice cream at the hotel shop and later that evening returned for dessert at the restaurant. All of the desserts we had that day were just so tasty and would recommend the bread pudding and creme brulee.

Along with closing and opening my pool - they replaced a faulty water pump and gave me all the information required to keep it running smoothly. No issues since. They also helped me setup an efficient schedule on the controller\app and showed me how to effectively keep my pool clean. I had a wedding reception in my backyard and the pool was a key part of the plan but the pool heater wasn't working. Joe committed, with very short notice, to get the pool functional. Instead of a simple part replacement the entire heating unit needed replaced. Under most circumstances I would have been told that it was impossible to pull off this service miracle in two days. Not with Joe and his team. Joe kept his word which meant that he and his team elected to work late into the night to ensure that I had a fully functioning, heated pool for the wedding reception. It ended up being a fabulous event where the children enjoyed themselves by swimming and the parents enjoyed themselves too. What a blessing Joe and team were to my family. I highly recommend Aqua Solutions Pool and Spa for all your pool needs
