History
Established in 2016.
Friends and business partners Renee Shearer and Sarah Edgell arrived permanently in Puerto Penasco in November of 2016. After months of renovation, we opened our Bed & Breakfast doors for booking on March 1, 2017 and received our first guests. Since opening we continue to receive Five Star Reviews all across the internet for our hosting style and comfortable accommodations.
Meet the Business Owner: Renee S.
Co-owner with Sarah Edgell. Renee and Sarah took annual vacations and long weekend trips together, and in 2015 they chose Puerto Penasco as their destination for Sarah's introduction to Mexico. Renee spent her High School and College years exploring Penasco on frequent visits in the 1970s. They stayed at the only Bed & Breakfast in Penasco called Hospedaje Mulege and fell in friendship with the owners Lupita and Israel Acuna. The Bed and Breakfast concept began with Sarah after her second visit to Penasco. Renee was considering retirement and Sarah was not quite done yet, so a partnership was launched and the search for a location began with the encouragement and mentorship of their hosts and friends Lupita and Israel. Once these two found the right location, the transition to Mexico happened very quickly and easily! It was meant to be.

I knew my stay at the Inn at San Luis was going to be good when I called ahead of time to let them know that I would be arriving late. The owners were concerned for my well being and told me to be careful driving at night. They also said they didn't mind that we would be late. When we got to the Inn, we were greeted immediately and welcomed to Puerto Peñasco. We got a tour of the Inn and told what time breakfast would be. During the stay, the owners were more than kind. They made a great breakfast for both days we were there. They also suggested things to do and also answered any questions the tenants had about the area. I asked what type of coffee they used because it was so good and they told me exactly how they make it. The Inn is close to everything that you would like to access in town and a convenance store is just walking distance away. The rooms have a refrigerator which comes in handy. The stay here was perfect for the price. It's definitely worth booking with the Inn. read more
