We are with in walking distance to the fish markets, shopping, bars and sunset views. The owners are super friendly and there are two black cats that like hanging around. This was the first building built in Rocky Point, the hideout of Al Calpone and some other shady characters. The parking is secure. Would highly recommend staying here if you want to be a part of history and do not need all the fancy condo living.

This is a luxury property not an all inclusive hotel so please keep that in mind when booking. The condo had a full large kitchen, 2 1/2 bathrooms and a panoramic ocean view of the sea of Cortez. Coffee on the balcony after our morning sunrise walks is how we started each day. The location is approx 20min from the main town but the scenery and beach front location makes this the perfect getaway. The bonus was the locals who set up shop on the beach just next to our hotel offering beachside massages, fresh fruits, ceviches, and piña coladas fresh from the piña! We had no need to really leave anywhere. There are infinity pools, outdoor shower stations to rinse off the sand, cabanas and BBQ grills all conveniently located in the pool area. Best part it's only a 6-7 hour drive from SoCal and even shorter from Pheonix. I believe the parent company is Kivoya Properties if you are interested in booking your own stay. The building we were in was Luna Blanca. I would recommend bringing a small amount of groceries and drinks as this is a very secluded location of Puerto Piñasco.

Unfortunately in that mean time, massacres happened to 9 women & children on the same stretch of road that would require us to get to our reservation from Arizona. We felt highly unsafe & requested to cancel 8 weeks prior to our reservation date. They refused to cancel the reservation thru Airbnb, refused a refund & then had the NERVE to charge my account another $170 after I ASKED & BEGGED for a cancellation & refund for the $213 they already kept. Now my account is overdrawn & they just NOW canceled my stay thru Airbnb. This place is obviously a scam!

We had a wonderful stay here…read more Diane, the lady who runs the inn, is very sweet and really goes out of her way to make guests feel at home. We were going to arrive pretty late and so we called her to see if we could still check in that late. She said she would stay awake for us. She also provided us with cold bottled water when we arrived and filled some bowls with fresh water for our pups. One of our dogs also totally fell in love with Diane. She even gave us some limes from her own kitchen for our beers! Diane rocks. The inn's architecture and interior is adorably unique and quirky. I've never seen anything like it. The rooms are super cute and there is also a shared upstairs patio with couches and chairs. That's where we watched the sunset. Beautiful. Everything is very clean and well maintained as well. And our room had AC. The location is great as well. You are right by a water front with a strip of shops and restaurants. At night, apparently, there's lots of partying going on but with the dogs we didn't really look into that. We had lunch at the blue marlin, ice cream at thrifty, and breakfast at jungle juice, all of which was very good. There's no beach within walking distance, though. Prices are reasonable. We paid about $170 for two nights. I would recommend this inn to anyone and plan to come back.

We understand that due to the heat, work must be done early. But it didn't cost anything to let us know. It was very unpleasant to be woken up by the hammering.

The sandy beach is the cleanest in Mexico, the tides are extreme so the beach and view are ever-changing. The park is large, flat, sandy. No palm trees or green except by the hot tub. It is very well staffed; the same faces every year to help with a problem. Security all night long; we see him walking all night with his flashlight. There is a community-managed 'Social Club' wiht Karaoke, Bing, LRC, Zumba and Line Dance. There is also a nice group of every-speed bicyclists in the winter months. Plus potlucks for special events. Nice Hot tub and showers.laundry. Vendors come through with propane, water, shrimp, breakfast burritos. This is a GREAT place to have work done on your RV! Paint, repairs, upholstery! I'm rating it a 5 because of the cleanliness, safety and location. It is what it is, it is NOT a palm oasis, but it is a well managed park in a great location.

Amazing first-ever stay at Peñasco del Sol! Booked the king…read moresuite with beach view and balcony, which is a one-bedroom with a pull-out sofa in the living room. Room was large and very clean; bed must have been a California king (since it was bigger than my king-sized bed). Kitchen area had a decent sized mini-fridge with an actual freezer, and a microwave. Interior walls are concrete/stucco, so I would imagine rooms are quiet even during the busy season. Our balcony was really only deep enough for standing room, not sure this is true for all rooms, but that was the only down-side. View was spectacular. All the staff was extremely friendly, and the bell person was especially informative. The included breakfast offered fairly minimal but well rounded selections; portions were ample--and delicious! They also offer an additional (paid) breakfast menu. Another on-site restaurant off of the casino area (La Arena 3C) was suuuuper good with amazing specials and happy hour pricing. On Taco Tuesday: three shrimp tacos and a chicken taco; three mini-quesadillas; a large bottle of jamaica aqua fresca; a beer; and a dessert special with two carajillos (coffee cocktails) and a small cake all came to $26.04. Ridiculous. We obviously ate there twice. There's a cute little "beach" area on the property just past the pool that overlooks the sea and has tables with umbrellas and lounge chairs, or daybeds. All with food/drink service. Perfect lounging (napping?) area. Since we were only visiting for two days we never left the resort property, and were perfectly happy with what was available to us. There is a drug store just across the street for water and other needs, but we brought all our own. Can't wait to come back and stay here again and explore the town!
