We had a good time here because of the amazing beach right outside the door. The rooms are all condos owned by many different people so you never know what you are going to get. We stayed in E107 and it was quite run down and the sliding door would not close properly and the screen was off the track and broken rusted out. This place needs some TLC. The headboard is loose from the walls doors would not close properly because they were warped and the blinds in the guest room were broken so people could look in. Check the online photos and reviews before booking as it can be a crap shoot as some are much nicer than others for $200+ a night.

Great place to stay in Rocky Point. Right on the sandy beach. There has been a recent change in pet policy for renters that you should know about. Only owners can have pets on the property. Other than that this is a lovely place to stay with great service and walkable beach. We will be back.

My home away from home. My favorite resort to stay at. Safe secure. Very clean. Everything I need in one location and right on the beach.

I looooove this resort! Their staff is always maintaining the common areas. Pools are fantastic, you are steps to the beach. There's a swim up bar with really good carne asada tacos and the friendliest staff! Yesenia and Osvaldo are a blast! This place let's you bring your own alcohol! Whaaaaaa?! This is my place of choice and it will continue to be.

Stayed here for three nights and I loved it. Everything is close by and the place is very clean. Would definitely stay here again.

The view was amazing, the 3 bedroom condo we stayed in was one of the nicest rooms we have had in this resort. We had daily cleaning service, fully stocked modern kitchen and our master bedroom was very spacious with a jet bathtub, walk in shower for 2, and a nice size closet. Our daughters had a nice bedroom with private bathroom, they had 2 queen size beds in there bedroom. Only issue was the master bedroom was warm and could not get the room to cool down. Wifi is sketch but just got to reconnect every few hours.

We recently booked Condo Topaz B907 at Las Palomas Phase 1, and it was completely uninhabitable due to a horrific, overpowering odor inside the room. Even the resort housekeeper openly admitted to us that the room has a chronic, terrible smell and that the administration is fully aware of the issue. Yet, instead of fixing the problem or pulling the room from the rental pool, management continues to book it and charge premium rates to unsuspecting guests. We had to get Expedia involved to rescue us and move us to another resort (Esmeralda) because Las Palomas refused to properly handle it. To make matters worse, Las Palomas management refused to refund our $212.00 resort fee, which we paid in cash. They fraudulently claimed that WE were the ones canceling the stay, completely ignoring the fact that we were forced to flee a defective room. They stole our cash fee for amenities we never used. Save yourself the headache, smell, and stress. Avoid this dishonest resort and specifically refuse unit Topaz B907! If you must stay at Las Palomas DEMAND a different unit if they try to assign you to Topaz B907!!

The first time I ever stayed here was back in 2009 and I've been staying here ever since! To start off every condominium I've had the pleasure of staying has been a 3 bedroom, which includes two bedrooms on a lower level floor and the master bedroom on the second level. It's such a convenient condominium for a large family which needless to say, usually around 8-10 family members join us on our trips to peñasco, so it's always great! Although most people don't go on vacations to cook, my family and I get good use out of the kitchen that every condominium is provided with, we make everything from breakfast to dinner! Good way to save money if you don't mind all the cooking :) I love the fact that there are not only 1, or 2 but 3 POOLS in this resort!! Most hotels only have a semi good size pool and one or two jacuzzi's but the fact that this resort has 3 pools is amazing!! And on the occasions that I've been there most pools don't get packed at all, since there are so many to choose from, guests go to all 3 instead of staying all in the same pool!! No need to worry about accidentally kicking someone if you're trying to swim lol Lastly, the staff is very under appreciated! They give the best customer service and are always super kind and helpful! A few weeks ago my dad and I made our reservations for the summer and a worker by the name of Fernando was able to assist us through everything smoothly! (FYI: if you book online you only have to pay half of what the room will cost for your entire trip! And once you get to the resort on the day of your arrival date you pay the rest! It's great because you don't need to worry about having to pay it all in full!) Anyways, Fernando was able to assist us very well and provided us with the room we stayed in last time we were here back in 2015! If you ever read this Fernando, thank you for your help!!! We greatly appreciate it! I will always enjoy my stay in Princesa de Peñasco! my family and I already booked our trip for next month in July and we cannot wait to be there already, soaking up the sun and swim in the pool and enjoy everything that this resort has to offer! See you soon, Princesa de Peñasco!

Room was large and very clean; bed must have been a California king (since it was bigger than my king-sized bed). Kitchen area had a decent sized mini-fridge with an actual freezer, and a microwave. Interior walls are concrete/stucco, so I would imagine rooms are quiet even during the busy season. Our balcony was really only deep enough for standing room, not sure this is true for all rooms, but that was the only down-side. View was spectacular. All the staff was extremely friendly, and the bell person was especially informative. The included breakfast offered fairly minimal but well rounded selections; portions were ample--and delicious! They also offer an additional (paid) breakfast menu. Another on-site restaurant off of the casino area (La Arena 3C) was suuuuper good with amazing specials and happy hour pricing. On Taco Tuesday: three shrimp tacos and a chicken taco; three mini-quesadillas; a large bottle of jamaica aqua fresca; a beer; and a dessert special with two carajillos (coffee cocktails) and a small cake all came to $26.04. Ridiculous. We obviously ate there twice. There's a cute little "beach" area on the property just past the pool that overlooks the sea and has tables with umbrellas and lounge chairs, or daybeds. All with food/drink service. Perfect lounging (napping?) area. Since we were only visiting for two days we never left the resort property, and were perfectly happy with what was available to us. There is a drug store just across the street for water and other needs, but we brought all our own. Can't wait to come back and stay here again and explore the town!

She even gave us some limes from her own kitchen for our beers! Diane rocks. The inn's architecture and interior is adorably unique and quirky. I've never seen anything like it. The rooms are super cute and there is also a shared upstairs patio with couches and chairs. That's where we watched the sunset. Beautiful. Everything is very clean and well maintained as well. And our room had AC. The location is great as well. You are right by a water front with a strip of shops and restaurants. At night, apparently, there's lots of partying going on but with the dogs we didn't really look into that. We had lunch at the blue marlin, ice cream at thrifty, and breakfast at jungle juice, all of which was very good. There's no beach within walking distance, though. Prices are reasonable. We paid about $170 for two nights. I would recommend this inn to anyone and plan to come back.

We chose this resort specifically for the heated bar pool, which is the only comfortable swimming option year-round. However, after this experience, we will not be returning here. We traveled here with our 2 year old son and are currently expecting another baby. The heated pool is a necessity for us, as young children cannot safely regulate their body temperature in the other "upper" pools, which are unheated, frigidly cold and not surprisingly almost always empty. In all our years coming here, children and adults have coexisted in the heated lower pool without issue. There was never a "nuisance" problem. This year, as my toddler was about to get in, we were stopped by security and told he wasn't allowed. The only sign posted states that children under 3 must wear a swim diaper. Our son was wearing one. When my husband addressed this with management, he was told it is a "new rule" that children are banned from the only heated pool on the property. Telling a family with a toddler (and soon an infant) to use the unheated pools is dismissive and medically soundless. Next year, when we have a 6 month old, we won't be able to use any pool on the property because the resort refuses to heat the family-accessible areas. This arbitrary rule has effectively ruined our vacation. If you are traveling with small children who need a comfortable water temperature, do not stay here. Sonoran Sky has made it clear that they no longer value families here. We will be taking our business elsewhere in the future.
