When I first opened the door I was impressed by the size of the room, huge is all I can say. The bed was warm and cozy, buy was I tired after a long day. The suite consisted of a living room, bed room and bathroom. Even the bathroom was huge. In the morning I was greeted by a beautiful picturesque view of the falls. The Inn also provided a Continental Breakfast, and the best thing ever for a morning, a Kureg coffee maker with a selection of various coffees. The host was amazing, showing us the rooms and describing anything we might need to know. The place is Amazing and I suggest a stay when ever you're in the area. Sorry, some of the photos are blurry because I had a screen on the window. I forgot to mention that the bathroom had a Jacuzzi.

We stayed in the suite which had its own private bathroom, a very comfortable queen-size bed, and chairs to watch TV; WiFi was also conveniently available. The next morning Melissa had prepared a delicious breakfast for us with fresh fruit cups, homemade scones, English muffins, jam, a homemade frittata, orange juice, tea and coffee! Would definitely stay again as the price was more than fair. We were just there as a layover between Cooperstown and Saratoga. Great in the summer too!…read more Went with my mother and girlfriend for a traditional Adirondack getaway and Lapland did not disappoint. In the summer this place is heaven to anyone who enjoys the outdoors and relaxing. Clean rooms, really clean. The homes or "Tupa's" are very comfortable and home like, although I guarantee you won't be spending much time inside. You can use any of Lapland's amenities such as kayaks, canoes, rowboats, mountain bikes etc - just bring your key to the lake and choose from their good selection.. I went fishing in the lake and caught a couple largemouth (released them back for you too) the lake is not overly large but is fun to explore all of the coves and shoreline. Not to mention swimming and sun bathing on a hot day, I suppose that goes without saying ! If you want a get away to roast marshmallows and have a relaxing stay, try Lapland lake instead of herding with the masses to lake George!

You might not want to spend all day at the Travelodge but it's fine for a vacation base. It's clean and everything works. Negative points are the lighting and Wi-Fi. But one huge positive for me is the location, if you're into small towns. So many motels these days are in the middle of nowhere, next to a highway and a gas station. Travelodge is walkable to food, coffee and the scenic river and canal area.
