I have nothing but positive things to say about Inner Loop Pet Sitting. We began using their services when we moved to Houston. My partner and I travel quite a bit and we prefer for our dog to stay at home where she is comfortable and will not be stressed out by noisy environments at boarding facilities. Their communication is fast and efficient and so far we've always been matched when a sitter on our requested dates. You can leave a key with them so that you don't have to bother meeting up each time before/after a visit to exchange the key. They have various visit options/rates. We like to do two 30-minute walks for morning and evening plus a 15-minute potty break midday. I'm not sure how their prices compare to other businesses but we find the rates reasonable! We are grateful to have had Sharon take care of our pup several times recently. Sharon has been great at communication and checks in with us prior to each trip. YAY for a caring, reliable pet sitting service! Used them for the first time when going on a 12 day trip out of the country. I was nervous til I met Judy (my cats' sitter) and Terry (the owner, who sat for the cats one day Judy couldn't). My cats LOVED them (I do have very sociable cats) and even better, they loved my cats. Got updates every day (when text didn't come through, they switched to email right away) and tons of pics of happy cats who looked like they didn't care if we came home. Is it expensive? A horrific experience. First of all the actual sitters are NOT insured and bonded. The woman who owns the company supposedly is but is unwilling to provide proof of this. I had a bad feeling when the sitter did not return messages for a day. When I said I would have a friend check on my pets to insure they were being cared for, the owner became combative and verbally abusive.She then told me she was cancelling 8 hours before I was leaving on my business trip. The most unprofessional dealings I have ever had with a business. I would not trust these people to water a plant let alone care for pets. read more

I just recently moved to Houston and almost completely forgot that I needed to schedule a pet sitter for my baby girls before my boyfriend and I took a mini-vacation to Vegas. Well, after a few emails back and forth, I met Lily the day before we went on vacation and she is a total sweetheart. Let me tell you, she had a list of questions that covered EVERYTHING! I was pleasantly surprised that Inner Loop accounts for everything they can think of and makes notes to remember where the food is, what to do if there is an accident (like where the cleaning products are), where the trash chute is, etc. I was even shocked she asked me where the toys were! My girls usually sleep most of the day and I told Lily she may not even see them since they like to hang out and sleep under the bed. But as I'm looking at the Eiffel tower in Vegas, I get a picture of my girls! She wrote me a long text explaining exactly what happened and also that the girls warmed up to her and came out from under the bed to be scratched. This didn't happen once but every time she visited with my baby girls! With tons of pictures! I was so surprised and will no doubt be using them again. We had to book a very last-minute cat sitter and Terry was very kind on the phone, working a miracle for us as we were about to leave on our honeymoon the next day. Lily was available to care for our cat, and she could not have been more kind and attentive to our little guy. Initial visit in our place involved signing forms, giving vet and procedural information, and emergency contacts. Needless to say, although we were going to be out of the country we knew he would be cared for in the event of an emergency. We received updates on our cat with pictures, which provided peace of mind and was just plain fun (although it made us miss him more!). (and I had a lot, as I am obsessed with my cats) Terry did not take care of my kitties, but she had a really sweet girl named Sherri stop in to take care of them. She was very prompt and observant. Inner Loop Pet Sitting is by far the best! I have been using Terry and/or Gwenn for a little over a year now. Gwenn comes to my house at least three times a week and is always willing to work with my crazy schedule. I am a young professional and work long, unpredictable hours and often (at least once a week) ask Gwenn to make a last minute, unscheduled evening visit to my house to let the dogs out when I need to work late. Several times Gwenn has dropped the dogs off at boarding or picked the dogs up from boarding when I have not been able to (I am certain that each of these times has been an unscheduled, last minute "can you please help me" type text). When Gwenn can't make it to my house for these visits, Terry promptly fills in. During the first month that I had my puppy, Terry would come three times a day to let her out of her kennel and help me with potty training. When I had to go out of town at the very last minute for work and all the sitters were booked, Terry worked hard to build a schedule with three different sitters to stop in on their breaks throughout the day and watch my puppy (she didn't have all of her shots yet and could not be boarded). These sitters went above and beyond for me! This was such a stressful time with work and Terry did everything possible to make sure that the dogs were taken care of. After the puppy (who is now a 103 lb dog) went to training, Gwenn came over on a weekend to walk with me in order to learn the training techniques for their weekly walks (heel, sit, stay). During the week, I always receive a text when the visit is over letting me know that the dogs are doing well and what they did during the visit. Sometimes I get a funny photo! When I get home, the dogs have a full bowl of water and any messes are always cleaned up. Once, Terry even texted me to remind me to be careful when walking the dogs in the evenings because she heard of a mugging just down the street from me (Montrose). In the past year, I have never been left hanging, even in my numerous last minute requests. With my stressful job, it is so nice to know that I can rely on Terry and Gwenn. I cannot speak highly enough of them and am so pleased with their services! read more

Recently, I contacted Terry and asked her to pet sit my cat once again. While on vacation, I received a call from Terry saying that none of the keys I left her unlocked the door to my house. As I began to worry, Terry suggested maybe we call a locksmith to help us unlock the door. The company said it would be at least 45 minutes until someone could get to my house. Terry told me that she didn't mind waiting there until the locksmiths came. After the locksmith arrived, they drilled through the lock and Terry was able to enter. However, the locksmith did not have a replacement lock for my house in the vehicle she came in. So, she needed to drive to Home Depot to get one for us. Again, Terry said she was willing to stay at my house and wait. A while later, the locksmith returned with the new lock and replaced it. In total, Terry patiently spent around 3 hours at my house waiting while this issue was being resolved. Without her help, my cat would have been locked inside the house our whole trip! Terry's done a fabulous job both times she's watched my cat! She sent daily text messages with pictures to give updates on how my cat was doing.
