My wife and I try to go about every other week. Getting ready to go again today…read more Yes you pay in advance, I have found most places do that, kinda like getting fuel. The last deep tissue I received was amazing, don't get me wrong the ones before it were great too, but this particular young lady was using he elbows feet and knees to really work the back. My bad shoulder she took extra attention too as well, I always bring cash to tip, really who wouldn't rather have cash. And to avoid the credit card run fee, which all businesses charges you for one way or another , I'll pay in cash. But so far the best thing is I can call them and will be able to get a massage within the hour, instead of trying to make an appointment for days or weeks away, which never works with my schedule.

I recently booked the Spa Package (90 minutes), and overall I had a very positive experience…read more The front of the business is fairly simple, but once you're taken to the back, the atmosphere becomes much more relaxing. The room was quiet, comfortable, and set the right mood to unwind. I'll be honest--when the massage first started, I wasn't sure what to expect. The therapist began with a lot of muscle and joint movement, and I was thinking, "I really hope this isn't the whole massage." Thankfully, after a little while she got to work, and wow--she absolutely delivered. She found areas of tension I didn't even realize I had and put in some serious effort. By the end, I felt significantly better than when I walked in. Easily one of the better massages I've had. I wish I had caught her name so I could specifically request her next time. The reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 has more to do with communication and accommodations than the massage itself. There was a bit of a language barrier, and I wasn't really given any instructions when I got into the room. As someone who has had massages before, I figured it out, but if this had been my very first massage, I probably would have been standing there wondering what I was supposed to do. A simple sign on the back of the door with instructions like, "Undress to your comfort level, lie face down on the table, and cover yourself with the sheet" would go a long way for first-time clients. The other issue was the table size. I'm 6'4", and the tables don't seem to be designed for someone my height. It wasn't a deal-breaker, but taller clients may find them a little small. Overall, the quality of the massage itself was excellent and is the main reason I'll be back. With a little improvement in communication and accommodations for larger clients, this would easily be a 5-star experience for me. I'll definitely be giving them another shot soon.

I had been experiencing back pain, so I went to Dr. Mark Gutekunst because of the positive reviews online. At first, I was very happy with Dr. Mark. He seemed very personable, trustworthy, and thorough. He did X-rays and came up with a treatment plan. They made a copy of my insurance card and I started with the exercises, adjustments, and care plan. After every visit, I was scheduled for my next visit. I assumed that my insurance was billed and there was no copay. I was never told that I had a balance. In the past my insurance always covered my chiropractor visits. I told Dr. Mark and his staff about my upcoming wedding plans and honeymoon. They all seemed very excited for me and asked about everything when I returned. Then several weeks later, I received an itemized bill in the mail. A bill for $914. I was shocked and extremely upset. On the second sheet of the bill, it was highlighted that I was out of network, so insurance covered nothing! Imagine getting back from your wedding/honeymoon and Christmas then getting a $914 bill that you didn't expect.. Why wouldn't his staff let me know I was out of network? Why wouldn't they have told me each appointment that I had a balance? Why did I get an itemized bill months after my treatments? And why does it cost $90 for 20 minutes of exercises in their office ? So I went up to the business to complain. It was just a few days after the new year. Only the accountant was there and she apologized. She told me this was not standard practice. She gave me a discount but I still had to pay hundreds of dollars... after Christmas and after paying for a wedding. I drained my HSA and put an additional $200 on my credit card. The worst part is that my back still hurts. So I'm out money for nothing. I asked the accountant if she would let Dr. Mark about my bad experience, she said she would. But I never received a phone call or apology or anything. So, I've attached a copy of my itemized receipt, just so everyone can see how much your bill will be if you're out of network. So..unless you want to spend lots of money and still have back pain.. I would not go here!
