Plenty of parking and she is behind the building of Found n Kept so it's a cozy nook, I'm honestly so glad I saw it when I did otherwise I don't know how long it could have been til I found this gem! We are currently in the middle of an insane, record breaking winter of snow, but thankfully we should be at the end of it as of this afternoon. Nice and sunny perfect afternoon to pop in this well curated, inspirational fortress. Kristal the owner is so sweet I loved getting to chat with her a bit when they were open! If you see those A frames, ya gotta check it out because she isn't open everyday. She's closed Sunday - Tuesday, so Wednesday, Thursday, or a Friday is your best bet although she is also open on Saturdays but only until early afternoon because of how quiet the neighborhood gets on Saturday nights! A pleasant thing no doubt.

I had such an incredible time at Crafted Rings! I love the idea of being able to create my own…read morering, and Cole took me step-by-step through the process and helped me to do as much as I could on my own. Now I have not only a cool new ring but something I can say I crafted myself! After selecting a design, the first step of the process was hand carving the ring out of wax - making the ring big enough for my finger and shaping the pattern on the outside. All the necessary tools were provided and were easy to use, especially with Cole's tips and expertise. (As someone with very limited experience with creating anything by hand, I very much appreciated this!) This step had the most amount of time allocated to it, and does require a degree of delicateness with the wax and patience with the process and with yourself. Luckily, Cole was also able to help undo or cover up mistakes (or weld the ring back together when the wax snapped - which definitely didn't happen five or six times ) Next, we used the wax ring to create a sand mold into which the silver for the ring could be poured. This doesn't take long, but prepping the mold also requires some delicate work. Again, Cole was there to help with corrections and mistakes. Since I was there by myself, I may have had a chance to be a bit more involved in preparing the silver for pouring into the mold than a group may have been able to. After the mold was ready, we used a torch to melt the silver and Cole poured the silver into the mold in one smooth, expert motion. The ring formed and cooled quickly, so within a minute or so we were putting the finishing touches on the final product. Finally, after some "pruning," sanding, and polishing, I have an awesome ring I can truly call my own! If you've ever wanted to craft something yourself worthy of being an heirloom that you could truly cal your own, or if you're looking for a meaningful gift of jewelry that isn't marked up to ridiculous prices just to take advantage of you, (OR if you just want to experience imagining yourself forging your own Ring Of Power in the fires of Mount Doom) I can absolutely recommend Crafted Rings!

You round the corner into the workshop, with its magical blend of unique vintage decor, industrial work bench, and wax blanks on a marble square, and you know this will be something special. Creating unique handmade rings was a process like no other. With Cole and Kayla's encouragement and guidance, our experience was memorable and so much fun! We carved our rings out of Wax and when we needed assistance, Cole and Kayla were there to help. Living in Southern California and not being familiar with florists in the Salt Lake City area, it could have been an issue when I was tasked with coordinating the flowers for a surprise proposal for a young couple. However, from the moment I emailed Stefanie, I knew I was in excellent hands. I was able to share with her some inspiration photos as well as some of the darling couple. We discussed flower colors and more information about the young couple. We discussed over the next few weeks, both via emails and on the phone, what the future groom envisioned the scene to look like and where/how he wanted the flowers placed and then the rest was up to Stefanie. There was something about how she spoke regarding designs, as well as her website photos, that allowed me to trust her vision without seeing any floral selections ahead of time. Her prices were also right in line with his budget and on the day of the proposal, I flew into SLC, and picked up the arrangements. When I entered her cute flower shop, they immediately took my breath away! She could not have done a more perfect job. She happened by chance to use a rose called Moab, which is a dusty beige, almost pale pinkish wide open rose, which just so happened to be same name of one of the very first locations this couple went to on a weekend getaway. It's those magical moments that further showed me, this was the flower designer meant for their engagement. After their private proposal, when they started sharing their photos with family and friends, the amount of gasping comments over the beautiful flowers it became apparent to everyone how stunning the florist is and how they lucked out! Stefanie captured the romantic look they both desired. If you ever need to WOW someone with flowers, look no further than The Art Floral. I called Heartfelt to see if they had any paper heart cut outs or die cuts, and the woman I spoke with say I could purchase paper and cut out the hearts with their die cuts machine myself! When I got there and she realized how many I needed, she offered to have her team cut them out for me see i needed 100. She was already doing it for another customer and did it for me too! They were ready within an hour. The store itself is super cute. Lots of arts and crafts and scrapbooking supplies, and a bunch of tables to the right when you walk in. Three women were scrapbooking together on the tables! Love this place, great customer service and can't wait to come back.
