They tell clients…read morewho have Dental insurance that they have co-pays for cleanings (like medical co-pays) when in reality they are "OUT-OF-NETWORK SURCHARGES". I called my insurance who confirmed there are NO such thing as "co-pays" with our dental plan! When I confronted the office manager and subsequently the dentist about this (after being a customer for 20 years), the dentist told me to "think of insurance as a coupon". I'm sorry but our Dental Insurance is not cheap and is in no way "a coupon". Their charges (and extra surcharges) for any type of dental work are astronomical because they are "Out of Network" with all insurance plans. They also added a ridiculous, rigid policy charging if you need to re-schedule an appt. They are now in it to milk every $ possible from you....very sad that they went this route!

Without warning shooting pain started around 7pm in my upper mouth. Some ibuprofen and I went to bed. And then I was up again. The pain had spread: shooting, mind numbing pain on both my upper and lower jaw. Forget sleep. I was up all night miserable. I called first thing in the morning as soon as they opened. The receptionists explained they were completely full for appointments. I explained that breaking a leg (which I have) was less painful then what was happening in my mouth. She said she'd talk to Dr. Shah. Ten minutes later I got a call back and I'm pretty sure Dr. Shah gave up his lunch to see me. Radiographs, antibiotics and an appointment to the endodontist were done. He assured me the antibiotics would help with the suspected tooth root abscess (which needed a root canal). He was right. Two doses later the pulsing, shooting pain was down to a dull controllable level. I have a new found respect for dental pain and truly appreciate Northbridge Smiles for getting me in right away so I could get on the path to being a functioning human being again! I'm not looking forward to the root canal, but it could be worse.

The staff is friendly and professional. But one of the biggest perks of using this dental practice is their laser drilling. I've only needed work on one tooth over the last 10 years I've been using Dr. Shustak, and he performed that procedure with a laser. That meant no pain, no injection and no Novocain numbness!

They are good at reminding me of my appointment and easy to re-schedule with. They send me an email to confirm my appointment in advance. All the dentists I have had look at my teeth at Paquette Family Dental are great (and I think I've seen each one of them at least once).
