I had been going there off and on for a few years because the barber I liked left, but I would go there out of convenience between other barber shops to check out other barbers. I'm not going to mention any names in particular but he's always there, I'm sure you know him, I think he sits in the second chair. My last and final visit was not very good at all, very unprofessional, and I feel violated. I always make appointments, but I have to wait 30 minutes while he cuts someone's hair during the time, I made an appointment for, it never fails and when I'm in his chair he spends more time texting and talking than cutting my hair then rushes to finish towards the end. My last visit with him he walked off in the middle of my haircut, he didn't bother to excuse himself and didn't say anything when he came back either, then pushed me back in my seat when I leaned forward. I feel violated, the only place on my body he should be touching is my head area, not on my chest or anywhere else, I'm a paying customer, not a project to be walked away from to do whatever and finish they're ready. I'm not going to say every barber at Pikasso Kutz are the same, the other barbers that are professional with their customers. My brother was going there too before I told him what happened, he didn't like that at all, and I don't blame him.

Saw their tent during Taste of Wheaton, waited two hours and left without a cut. An hour give or…read moretake for a cut is long but not unreasonable. But let me tell you, the first guy took 45 min, second guy was 75 min in and still going by the time I left. The first barber (light-skinned latino) took 45 min, worked hard and did an excellent job on an older man. Honestly, while I waited and saw him work, I wanted my cut with him. Unfortunately he left to go inside their building and was replaced by this young black haired latino. He was working on this guy who walked in with a Phil Foden cut and 75 min in, largely unchanged but with a clean trim on the sides. (There was hardly any hair on the ground ) One reason his cut was taking so long was this barber was too busy live-streaming on his phone, occasionally looking at peoples' comments. It also didn't help he was cutting at a snail's pace. It's one thing to be attentive to detail (something the first barber was good at). It's another to just go hair by hair. Bad for business, wasting peoples' time, so much that I don't feel like stopping by the actual shop. Hope the business sees this and if they do, please let me know the name of that guy. If I ever do stop by, I'd like to avoid him at all cost.

After checking them out online and on Instagram I called and made an appointment with Mario. There is plenty of metered street parking in the area. Some in front of the building that the shop is in and there's also a metered lot to the right of the building. Finos is located on the second floor of the building. Theres a door leading to the stairs located next to Franks Burgers. Go up the stairs and turn left once you reach the top. The vibe in the shop is very laid back. There was music playing at a reasonable level and the whole shop is well lit. Mario is really cool and he offered me a complimentary beverage (soda or beer). I opted for a soda since I drove myself. Now on to the cut and overall experience. Mario took time consulting with me to figure out the best cut for me. I shared what I had in mind down to the guides I preferred and how close I wanted thebcut to be. Once he got started with the cut we had a really cool conversation about everything from sports to family to travel, etc. Throughout the entire conversation Mario was cutting and detailing to make sure everything was perfect. When he was done I was extremely happy! This is easily the best haircut I've had in years at a barbershop! The price was fair, only $60 for a haircut and beard trim. I actually had him do a fade on my beard too. It's a new look for me, but I like the end result. Mario earned a new client and I look forward to coming back in 2 weeks for my next cut.

Appointments are selectively scheduled to ensure there are no more than a few people in the salon at once. When you arrive to get nails done, it's quite possible that you may have a room to yourself :) and everything from the client services to the ambiance is exceptional. COVID practices: when you arrive (appointments only), they open the door for you, check your temperature, ask you to sanitize your hands, and give you a sanitizing wipe your clean your phone (as you'll be touching it often). They offer you a bottle of water or a glass of champagne, wine, or mimosa. Yasssss! Now, you will immediately be taken into another, fun, light, vacation-like experience by the detailed decór. It's so beautiful the way the owners put so much love and attention into curating each part of your experience. You feel like this moment was crafted JUST for you. The nail specialist that I worked with, Kyra (pronounces KI-Ra) was full of light, love, energy, and offered therapeutic vibes. She really took her time to get to know me and understand more than what I wanted for nails, but how my nail journey complimented my life. I felt a true caring about who I was as a person. Although we take lightly our cosmetic experiences, they are actually a firm of therapy and self-care. Thank you Kyra.
