We came here after a not so great experience at another place. My son (3 years old) was very hesitant about giving it another shot but now he LOVES it. The classes and instructors here are very empowering, encouraging and uplifting. It's age appropriate and not overwhelming. He looks forward to going and it helps us with instilling good behavior at home (love the 'Daily Habits Chart'). Also, all of the parents I have met here have been so incredibly nice which means Mommy likes going too :) The environment is clean and accommodating, the music is fun and the seating is comfortable which is super helpful when you also have a 9 month old. My baby brother Liam has been going here for a couple months and my mom and I love it! He has so much pent up energy that he needs to release and this is the perfect place to do so. The instructors are so understanding with kids! Almost every time we go out he says "are we going to my martial arts class?!" And he is sad when we tell him not we are not lol even at 9 o'clock at night he comes up to us and tells me to "watch this!" So. I'm giving it a 2 because I LOVE most of the coaches. They were just amazing on multiple levels. Sensei George, Sebastian, and Christian were so great for self esteem and had amazing energy and just did a great job in general all around with their classes every time. An ongoing issue however is the fact that they won't stop pulling my payments or refund the money they have pulled already even knowing we have over 27 sessions owed to us already. My son got sick and we had issues that they were fully aware of (we have documentation) showing they knew this was a situation meaning the cancellation policy was null and void (be careful they will throw this in your face even if your child is ill so read it and understand it !) anyway. They kept pulling funds and states that the cancellation policy reflects why. We already have over 3 full months of owed sessions in addition to the 3 months they have additionally pulled. (They refunded 1 of these months - October) but refuse to do the right thing and refund the rest. Our other close friends also had this problem and I also just read on their reviews that it's a persistent issue. I'm a teacher in the community and feel that this is unacceptable and should be remedied easily rather than me having to go to extremes. It's the holiday season and pulling over $211 again is not ok. At this point we have over $1000 in sessions owed to us and do not plan on going back due to management and owner concerns. Again, be sure to read all the terms and policies so you don't get tricked and understand. I've finally had to contact my credit card company after months of argument and go that route which I prefer not to. read more

I am very happy here. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly and it is a really great program. Krav Maga is no nonsense self defense and martial arts. In the beginning of class there is a fifteen minute work out session that gets you ready and it is very good for conditioning for those of us who can't motivate ourselves to exercise on our own. The school offers also extracurricular activities such as monthly special events such as paintball, softball, kickball, etc I always feel better at the end of class having got a good work out learning new techniques and pushing myself. David, Bendon and the two Mikes are great instructors and you will learn a lot from them, and they are are really cool guys who you'll love to get to know. read more

Even after you do all of that, they continue to charge your credit card and Mike continues to make up different stories about how to discontinue classes. He might know martial arts, but he has no idea how to run a business or treat customers. Stay away unless you want to end up in small claims court. If you're looking for a great workout with great instructors, then this is the place! I like to go to the gym but I wanted to switch up my routine so I tried kickboxing. This workout blew my gym routine out of the water! It was amazing! I really felt a change in my body & that I was going in the right direction with my exercise/workout goals. I HIGHLY recommend taking classes here! You really don't even need the gym after experiencing this place. You truly get a full body workout! They also have more than just kickboxing. I have been much more confident in mysef, and I have been overall much happier after going here. I made many friends, and learned how to defend myself after going here. It also helped me exercise. If you make a mistake, they will not yell at you. They will correct you, and give constructive feedback to improve your performance. Horrible experience I took my son there and paid for the trail he did it 5 weeks and hated it, so over the summer he didn't go and I cancelled it, after the last visit in June I was still being charged $165 every month after I cancelled !!! We're now in September and I got charged $165 since June and my son never went I called the studio to try and work my his out with the owner before going this route and mike singer said no I can't do anything it's a 60 days opt out which means I will still get charged 60 days after u cancel I was like what?!?!!! That's stealing!!!!!!! I told him I didn't have that kind of money to spend the man had no compassion an basically didnt do anything ...I messaged him on Facebook and said I'm giving him 24 hours to make this right and of course nothing so now I won't stop until everyone knows they steal after u cancel u shouldn't be charged anymore and I don't have any paperwork showing that's their policy that I signed I'm taking this to Small Claims court and I won't stop unreasonable, young and you have no clue how to deal with the community if this is how u treat people Mike u said it's a month to month u lied 60 days is Rediculous it's stealing and I won't stop here until you be a business owner and do what's right I want my money read more

Be very careful. They don't let you cancel. If something comes up, they dont care. They will enforce you to continue for 60 days and still charge you, sometimes even long after that! They take your payment info and that's it. They wont work with you or do anything but maybe give credit for more classes even if you are not returning. Great spot for those interested in starting kickboxing as a new fitness routine for the new year. The studio is always clean and they just renovated. The guys running it are professional and friendly. Your first class they give you a private session to improve your form. The people in the class are encouraging. The last part of class is partner work, where you do a different exercises with someone in class. Great way to meet someone new. As an experienced martial arts practitioner, I am familiar with most requirements and expectations and wanting to get back in shape I visited IMA on a random day when no classes were in session, I was greeted with warmth and friendliness and scheduled my no pressure first class. One on One for the first group class was the standard and David was awesome!!! I signed for the gold package that evening which allows for more than 2/wk which was my desire. All the other classes are fantastic, these is not a slow moving classes your cardio will be tested. However if you need to slow it down or take a break as you build up, this is not shamed. But your internal motivation will push you forward. The students are great as are all the instructors. I highly recommend IMA if you are interested in a friendly and intense workout. The place is a cult. Its a social media stronghold on your life. First of all the second you join they immediately force you to be their "friends" on Facebook. And your newsfeed is being blown up all day long with their stupid posts. They appeal to mostly gossipy divorced moms who force their kids to go to horrible overcrowded classes. The place is tiny, no parking in the lot and dangerous. Dont try to cancel because Mike won't refund your money. They will continue to charge your credit card for months. Its all true. Then they manipulate the divorced lonely moms to take kickboxing clasees they cant afford but feel compelled to take. And when you try to quit same thing. Its like a cult stay away. If you have a life and want to learn Karate go somewhere else. Trust me I'm not the only one who feels this way. I just am not afraid to post the truth. Place is overrated, small, crowded no parking lot and expensive. Stay away. read more

For those saying things such as the staff being to involved with their customers or the fact that the instructors follow up with you to attend class... well, that just seems like the owners and staff at innovative are dedicated and care about what they do! I recently started Krav Maga with innovative and although I have a demanding work schedule and don't get to train as much as I like, I can tell you give them a try and you won't be disappointed! Am very disappointed by this place. After my husband was hospitalized for weeks due to amputations caused by diabetes and I found time too scarce to participate in much extracurricular activities I decided to cancel my expensive membership(I think it was for $125 per month, if not more as I included the option to cancel without any penalty). When I called to cancel the woman was gracious but insisted that I need To pay a penalty for cancelling. I protested and insisted that I paid for the higher monthly fee so I would have this option. She also said that I could not cancel immediately- I would still be charged for the next month's charge which made no sense to me. It took a couple of calls and I demanded to speak with one of the owners and he did call me. He promised that I would not be charged automatically on my card which they had on file. I was furious when the next month I found out from my bank that I was charged again. I'm not the type to check my checking activities all the time so I just came upon it accidentally. I felt this was very deceitful and i demanded my money back. He acquiesced but there's no reason that a client should be treated like this! I'm glad I cancelled! read more

I started going to innovative kickboxing after my son started karate, Some of the moms in the waiting area were talking about the kickboxing class so why not check it out... I did the trial and after the first night I was hooked. I had a baby 4 month prior and the strength I've gained in just the short time, I've been going is unbelievable. So I did the normal gym memberships...always positive that THIS time I would be consistent and show up for the monotonous treadmill and weight machines. EVERY time there seemed to be a reason not to go. "I'm too busy...I'm too tired...I'm not in the mood...I don't have the time". Then one day a girlfriend begs me to attend a kickboxing class 20 minutes from my home! I figured she was nuts...and I was even more nuts for agreeing to go with her... but I figured, what the heck and tried a class to help her out. Fast forward to today...I LOVED IT!!! It was motivating and energizing. Sure there are closer kickboxing places near my home...but I FELL IN LOVE with the staff, trainers, and clients. Everyone is friendly, outgoing, and so so motivating. They actually make you want to come back again tomorrow. I'm never bored and never questioned attending. That to me speaks volumes.
