Their open times, the different types of massages they offer, the price of the massage. During the start and the course of the massage, it was also unclear what was expected in terms of clothing since we chose a foot reflexology which also included some body massage. Typically this is a clothes on massage at other places and it seemed to be the same case here based on the initial conversation. But later we were told you need to undress for the full benefit of the massage, i.e. it was no longer optional. Which, after the massage, was clear why but it wasn't what I was told/expecting going in. There was a little "tucking/folding" of the under garments to massage your lower back but without warning, lol. Again, the after effect of the massage was great so I'd suggest keeping an open mind if you decide to come here! Overall, I would return because now I know the quality of the massage and what to expect!

I arrived 30 minute earlier because I wasn't sre about where the place or what the parking situation was. But...there was nothing to worry about at all! Safe parking area, etc! My wife says that I don't listen to her, or something like that. Regardless, I felt like I got about 8-9 Rolfing sessions in one hour. She told me I would be sore, but I have been getting bodywork for over 50 years and that didn't bother me. I did get a little sore, but the relief from the tightness was worth the temporary pain. I climb a lot of ladders, and for the first time in several years I now have enough flexibility in my right hip to let me climb and descend symmetrically instead of like a gimp. Even my chiropractor was impressed. That's incredible! I am going to add the cupping next time. I believe you can also get a milk toast type massage, but I appreciate a deep massage for my high mileage body. I work hard and do a fair amount of heavy lifting, so my muscles are need serious help. I was quickly disappointed. The environment seemed old and dirty when I walked in. It also had a very strong smell in the room I was getting a massage in. During your session they assess your skin and let you know what they are doing and using. It's so calming that I often find myself falling asleep by the end of it. They have private tubs you can reserve for an hour if that's more the vibe you are feeling, but you can also use the hot tub before or after your appointment to soak which is so relaxing. I do appreciate the touches of tea kettles and tea in the lounge area that are complimentary. They also have snacks and other things if you are there longer. Remedy is such a sweet serene spot right in the university area that you'd kinda forget where you are because it's so peaceful while experiencing it, and that's why I can't recommend Emily and Remedy enough.
