The company itself, internal staff, are very difficult to work with. As an example: they rarely return phone calls or emails in a timely manner. When they do respond to an email, the tone is less than friendly. The only calls returned was from geologist himself. Another example is they charge you for every mile that they drive... there and back. If you live in the Santa Clarita area, this might not be a big deal however being 45 minutes away in Los Angeles it became a fiscal burden that my limited project money was stressed over. Other companies I have worked with, this is included, regardless of distance. Then there is invoice / charge creep. Add surprise mileage charge and the surprise fees for every visit and your bills will grow rapidly beyond the quote. The company treats the project like there is infinite money. Of course there can be problems that require additional service, but that is part of the project. Nor was I told there may be additional costs as the project goes along. Never have I ever charge mileage for my clients, regardless of frequency. I assumed his quote was a complete picture, after all they are professional and this is not their first project. I had to, unexpectedly, take money out of my retirement to pay the bill. What I expected was a fix fee with all visits included. Not an open checkbook policy. My final disappointment was payment availability. They have no modern payment methods other than Zelle, which is a risky service. No online quickbooks payment, no Venmo, PayPal or any other modern instant service . A credit card they require you to give them your number and have it on file, where anyone can see it. If you choose to use this group, expect to pay more than what they initially quote. In the future I will go the local and hire teams experienced for my neighborhood.
