I literally love this place! I was told I was not an Invisalign candidate by so many orthodontists in the past, until I met Dr. Ibrahim. She told me I could absolutely do Invisalign. I was skeptical in the beginning because so many other had said no. Well, I am almost done with my treatment and my smile looks amazing. So happy with the results and it only took a year. I felt super comfortable and safe during my appointment today. They have safety protocols in place to keep everyone safe. I would give Innovative Ortho Centers / manal ibrahim no stars if that was possible. I had invisalign treatment there and she REFUSED TO RELEASE MY RECORDS TO ME because I wanted to go to another doctor.   The entire release process was her signing ONE SIGNATURE on a form. Instead, her office sent emails upon emails telling why I do not need my records released. Terrible service. Would not recommend center. Buyer Beware! This is a bait and switch practice. My treatment was originally 18 months which ended up over 3 years. I was referred to this practice to see to see Dr Ibrahim for my treatment which I ended up seeing her maybe 3 times over the 3 years. ( I have a family orthodontist I could have gone to as my fiancé went to him but she came highly recommended). Throughout my appointments I was continually treated like a child with my cheeks pinched calling me cutie when I would actually see her. I am an adult patient, I was never shown the respect of an adult. Each time at my visits I was never informed at the appointments what would transpire just hands in my mouth. Continually, I would hear the staff stumbling over my treatment needed. No notes were put into my chart so the staff never understood what my appointments were suppose to be each time. I would have to tell the staff, "no, you're doing something you did last time". I had multiple appointments that the staff would ask me why I was there and what I needed done after they are the ones who made my appointment. I had at least four appointments where I came in for an appointment or to pick up my trays and I wasn't on their even schedule or they didn't have what I was there to pick up. Each time I had the confirmation texts that were sent to me 24 hour before to which I confirmed only to show up and them tell me sorry go home. Who cares about my clients and my time or the hour car ride. After countless attempts during my treatment to reconcile my grievances with not only the managers (Angelis) with no notes ever noted, I finally got a short response from Dr Ibrahim breezing over me and telling me she is sorry for my feelings. I have emailed her twice since only to be ignored as I have asked for a refund due to my horrible experience. Unlike most other patients I paid in full before my treatment. So maybe because I wasn't paying every time I came in I was pushed aside. Think before you commit, and pay with caution. read more

We moved 30 min away so I requested the last retainers be mailed to us, I had to call 3 times to even get someone to understand that. Then they wanted to charge me $75 to ship, costs $15! I was shocked to see the negative comments about the orthodontic division of this practice. I have had the exact opposite experience. It makes me wonder if it's competition rather than actual patients? I guess even the best businesses have a few people that will never be satisfied. It's funny bc what I appreciate MOST is their honesty, transparency and efficiency. They have integrity with their work and their billing. If I am unclear about something they have taken the time to explain it to me whether that's in person or over the phone. I have been coming to this practice for over 11 years for both general dentistry and now for my children's braces. I moved further away 9 years ago and I chose to drive further to continue going there. I HIGHLY recommend Dr Ibrahim and Dr LaVacca and their team, not only for their high tech and efficient services, but also for their commitment to continued excellence and patient care. I leave very few one star reviews, but unfortunately with the amount of money I've spent here ($6,400) on one child and the way the billing staff treated me today, I believe one star is justified. First and foremost, after spending $6,400, my sons teeth are not straight and his first tooth overlaps the second. When my son needed to be in a healthcare facility of out state I requested they stop billing or credit the unfinished work so he could pick up with an out of state provider and they refused. Okay, fine. So prior to him leaving last summer, they told me if I paid a last $502.98 payment, I was done paying and they would make adjustments when he returned home. I paid the $502.98 and received a receipt showing a zero account balance. So now in Feb he is back in IL so I took him to have the buttons removed from his teeth. They told me I owed $377.80 and asked how I'd like to pay, saying they later found out the insurance wouldn't cover that portion. I said when did you find this out? "August". They then said the insurance wouldn't cover that portion because "its over the 18 month limit" they impose, but my son hadn't received over 18 months of treatment. There was some confusion over the # of months in the treatment plan that they told me to take up with my insurance company, which would have been no problem 6 months ago, but since they never sent a letter, a bill, or any kind of notice of the remaining balance and denial, now its too late to discuss or appeal with the insurance company. Frankly its in violation of the 'account stated and course of dealing' case law in Illinois, to give someone a receipt with a zero balance and six months later inform them they owe $377.80 when they became aware of them problem six months prior. On the ledger it states on 8/31/17 "Transferred unpaid insurance balance to patient ledger, if no pay I will send letter to patient" - only that was never done, which they admitted. I was very calm and polite when discussing this, but the staff publicly acted like I was wasting their time, acted irritated with me that I would even question this and a lady even said "I've spent enough time on your account" when I asked a question. The kicker - they called me later that day asking about when I'd like to start orthodontic treatment for my other two kids. Sorry, you've lost my business for my other two kids with negligent billing practices and rude billing staff. read more

So the new practice manager, Ariel, called me today and was very nice and helpful. Thank you for handling my situation. This place has lost five patients to a provider in the area that said that she gets quite a few patients from there. Here's an update. Spoke with the new finance lady Christine. She is rude as hell! This place was taking unauthorized payments from my account and I asked her to send me something saying that I agreed to that and she said that she can't? Whoa? Like no lady. And then proceeded to say "oh I see that you have an appointment coming up to get your braces taken off and that's not going to happen" then this rude lady just called me back and told me that there is NO agreement on file for the dates that she made payments for and that there was a verbal agreement. Any business that I have ever handled with this company was via written agreement with signature and now an imaginary verbal agreement came out of no where. She said that she would never do it because it's illegal... like DUH so WHY did you. This place is nice, I like the doctor's but I am so through going here. Very very rude patient experience. I would NEVER condone anyone to speak to my patients like this. I will not be back. I will get my braces taken off somewhere else. Very rude, Unlike most Napervillans, I fell on hard times and could not keep up with my ortho payments. I've been calling for the last two weeks to see what I can do because I have a loose wire and a bracket hanging and have yet to receive a response. They completely ignore my calls and messages. I finally dialed a different number and was fortunate (hopefully I'm not speaking too soon) to speak with Tim and explained my situation. He spoke with Sue over in the ortho area who told him that she was waiting for a response. A response does not take two weeks! These people have the Trump mentality and no empathy for their patients. I should've stayed away from the beginning when they automatically assumed by the way that I look that I had a Medicaid dental plan. The doctors are really nice, and Edmund is a great dental tech and brings great energy to the practice. Just be mindful that if you're not on their "level" you will be ignored and treated like complete poo. I am new patient with Innovative, and so far my experience with them these past 3 weeks have been very straight forward and easy. Holy pocket book batman!!!! I would get a second opinion if I was you. I went here because I got my daughter's braces from here 5 years ago and the results were good. When I got the quote of $7,000.00 for my son's Invisalign I thought we would just get the braces instead. I was told that braces were only 100 dollars less. I couldn't believe prices had gone up that much. I signed the contract but everyone, including dentists, is telling me I shouldn't be paying that much. It's too late for me but maybe not for you. After nearly two years of treatment ( after being originally told 6-9 months) I am completely dissatisfied with the end results. I just started treatment with another orthdontist and will be wearing metal braces because the invisalign did not properly correct issues that I expressed several times to Manal. Where to begin. First let me say that before I moved to Naperville I was very happy with my sons' previous orthodontist in Gurnee, IL. I can't say the same for my experience with Innovative. Most important warning is WATCH OUT FOR HIDDEN COSTS! We have pretty good insurance and we just recently found out that there is still a $240 upgrade fee for Invisalign. Innovative "estimated" that insurance would cover it but they don't. Then we were told today that the practice highly recommends a certain retainer. Oops, that'll cost you an extra $500. These two extra charges were NEVER brought to my attention during our lengthy 15 months of visits. The women who work there politely listened to me with their broad smiles, but I left feeling like, well, it looks like you'll have to cough up the money. Worst billing,scheduling department, and customer service in the world. My experience with this office has been a complete nightmare. Unfortunately I'm stuck here or else I would take my money and run. Do your research. Do not let the wood walls, wood counters from 1990's decor fool you. My problem started from day 1 and I should have known better but I thought it was a one off. Unfortunately for me it wasn't. It started with the free consultation. My daughter has 2 insurances. One through me and the other through her father. They gave us the quote. Although they were not the cheapest or most convenient, we decided to go with them because of Dr. I's credentials. After we signed the contract we waited for 3 weeks to hear back from them and I reached out to them because my daughter had not received a phone call about her Invisalign arriving. They told me it could take up to 12 weeks for them to arrive!! They NEVER mentioned this at the consultation. I was shocked . They told me they come from Mexico and they couldn't expedite them. I explained to them that 1. They never told me it would take this long and 2. I made it very clear that I wanted my daughter before she started school and Again no one mentioned it to me. They told me they would see what Dr. I could do. Magically days later the kits arrived at the office. Only they were not the official sets they were the initial start-ups, that my daughter would get the sets on her next visit. They were more like mouth guards. Now here is where my one off turned into a nightmare. During the consultation I also made it clear that we only wanted Dr. I to treat my daughter because that's the only reason why we went with this office. She's only seen here 3 times. We started the treatment in August of 2017. It's now March 22, 2018. Well then there's the insurance issue. Total $6,725.00 includes a $450.00 non-refundable records fee** $ 1,103.00 Insurance discount $5,622.00 New balance $3,000.00 coverage for both insurances $1500 from her dad 1500 from my insurance to equal $3,000 $1,100.00 this was our down payment substantially more than what is required. $1,522.00 should be our total due. We are making $85 monthly payments. Well the $1100 down payment was from a Health Savings card and we told them to use the $1100. We even have a letter from their office with their letter head saying they are only authorized to take $1100. They did not do this instead, they not only took the $1100 but even though we have a letter saying not to use this credit card for the $85 payments they went ahead and charged the card. Luckily we had money left and available. After we received an alert from the Heath and savings card saying payments were being attempted. We also received a call from the office saying that our card was declined. I couldn't believe it, I thought someone had stolen my card or had been compromised because there couldn't be any other explanation. I called my bank and they and my bank told me there was no attempt, I called the office again and I told them there must be a mistake. I told them to read the card to me and realized that they were still charging the health and savings card. I reiterated to them that they were charging the wrong card, they told me it would be easier if my daughters father and I would work it out and I could pay him the money that was charged to his account because it was a process to reverse the charges through a health savings account. Even thought was their mistake. Unbelievable!!! It doesn't end there today I got a call telling me that the second insurance has not paid today. Well as it turns out the EOB and bill has not been sent to the secondary insurance therefore they are not paying. Again, no one seems to know what to do with a secondary insurance. After I called my daughters father, he sat on 2 phone calls one with his insurance and one phone with the office. The office kept telling him no one was available. He finally got the person who called me on the phone and she confirmed that they have not been sending the EOB and bill to the secondary insurance. (His insurance as they should) I'm simply exhausted from this office. I dread going there. There are other issues such as my daughters appointments and Dr. I is not even in the office. I'm not satisfied with the current results of my daughters teeth. This practice seems to only be able to handle basic transactions. They are not friendly or inviting. No one has ever apologized to me for their mistakes or for wasting my time of having to play phone tag, with their staff, insurance companies Good luck trying to call and getting someone on the phone. I will never recommend this office. read more

I am a new patient here.. and I'm not very impressed. It's a very impersonal practice once you hand over the money. I have gone in twice so far for checkups and received very minimal information. Also, I do not even get to meet with the doctor herself. For both of my checkups, the doctor did not speak to me and her staff only worked on me. It would mean a lot more if the doctor was more involved in my treatment. Initially when I went in to get information, not only did they tell me the wrong price once but twice.. (ended up paying more). Not impressed at all. Update (4 months later) EXTREMELY DISPLEASED. do not go here.. save your time and money and go somewhere else. It's a complete scam. The doctor will tell you that it will take 6 months to completely fix your teeth but that is a lie. I am now on my 5th month and the main concern I came in with (over bite) is the exact same as what I walked in with! You will express your main concerns to the doctor and it will go in one ear and out the other!! I am now being told that I need to come back in at the end of October which should be when my treatment is over and do refinements!! Biggest scam ever!!! Not to mention I have to wait 8 more weeks for new trays! This is the most unprofessional practice I have ever been to. Lack of communication and professionalism! Also don't even bother expressing your concerns with customer service they will tell you that they will speak to the doctor and call you back but they never do!! We have been patients of Innovative Orthodontics and Naperville Dental Specialists for many years. I completed my first son's invisalign treatment, and while in the process of that began treatment for 2 of my other children. Hindsight being what it is, I wish we had never become patients of this office. Wait times are incredibly long, front staff is often rude, and communication is horrible. I have pulled our entire family from the dental office due to fraudulent billing, unacceptable wait times (over an hour for a procedure), and rude, inept office staff. The staff at Innovative Orthodontics operates much the same. We have never been called back within 10 minutes of our appointment time. When I point out that I need to return to work and my children need to return to school (since they force you to bring your children during the school day) they are never apologetic and the attitude is as if they are doing me some sort of favor. I am in the process of trying to determine how to best proceed since we are in the middle of treatment for one of my kids. A word of warning; a fancy office and pretty signs of accreditation do not make this a practice worth trusting!! read more

Dr. Ibrahim is truly a sorceress. She can work wonders with Invisalign and has such expert knowledge of teeth, in general, because of her background and experience. I had a severe overbite. Another ortho told me I needed to go through painful surgery and that Invisalign was not an option for me (that I needed traditional braces). When a friend suggested I get another opinion from Dr. I, the seas parted and life turned from gray to color. I was so re-assured from the moment I walked into Dr. I's office. Her staff was attentive and knowledgeable. They are very focused on creative problem-solving and thinking outside the box to work with your individual needs. And of course I loved Dr. I from the minute I met her. She is everything you want in a health professional: Calm, knowledgeable, funny, real, personable and positive. I felt heard and understood. After leaving one Orthodontics practice , my daughters dentist In Oakbrook recommended Innovative Orthodontics so we went for a consult . I loved the fact that everything was explained to me , and what options I had with my daughter. Because braces are expensive we decided to check out other Orthodontics . As a Mom who has fears of dentists I just Knew I was going with Innovative Orthodontics. Dr. Manal Ibrahim and her staff explained in great detail how the braces would be put on and how much it would cost us. The day came when my daughter got her braces on and for once I did not have any anxiety. I was able to sit with my daughter while her braces were put on and again everything they did was being explained to me and also they let me watch. My 7 year old now has Braces too and she did awesome they really take pride in their job and they always make kids laugh. I especially love the confidence in treatment that Dr. Manal Ibrahim has which I have not seen with the other Orthodontists we have seen . If you want an Orthodontist who is the best then you would want to go to Innovative Orthodontics. Over the last two years I developed a close relationship with dr I and her staff ! They're AWESOME!! If you want an impersonal and uncaring relationship with your orthodontist, this is the practice for you. Very difficult to get an appointment at a convenient time - almost no after school appointments. If you have an emergency, it is equally difficult to get an appointment, unless you are willing to take one time slot that they have available in their Joliet office, which is very far south on Rt. 59. We have only seen Dr. Ibrahim once during the initial consultation since we've been in the practice for almost 1 year. read more

oh my - how to say this... one is taken in as they are impressed with the hi-tech office. the friendly staff. and the dr who acts so caring. THEN - things change quickly. once there is a problem everything changes. the dr becomes snippy and unfriendly. even attacking you. your issues are never addressed - even the reason you came there in the first place! they seem to have done things that didn't even need to be done! and i paid for that! they even wanted to charge more for things that should have been in the initial quote. you leave knowing your thousands and thousands of dollars were wasted as you are in worse shape than when you went there. i wish i would have read all these reviews before i was impressed with the show before i got to know the performers... Absolutely incredible practice. From the receptionists to the technicians to the doctor, everyone we have encountered on each visit has made us feel comfortable, taken their time and not rushed us through anything. The practice is entirely open and parents are encouraged and welcomed back into the area where they do all the magic. :) They have gone above and beyond and I recommend them to everyone, especially anyone that has a child with any sensory issues or spectrum challenges. My daughter has SPD and is particularly sensitive with her mouth. Everyone here at the practice takes their time with her, has her giggling and puts her at ease. Dr. I was able to set her fears aside before she became overwhelmed and quickly placed the expander while making my daughter laugh and feel safe. Danielle and Star were also just incredibly patient and kind and never once did they pressure my daughter to do something before she was ready. read more

My daughter's braces cost us 6K+ and 3K was paid up front. Believe me; they are ALL about the money and while the ortho service is good; the business side is HORRIBLE. I had paid all but $700.00 which remained of the 3K which was our original agreed upon amount from the start. My daughter treatment plan was extended for another 6 months which was an estimate and I continued making the 200 a month payments. I was then between jobs. At that point, I only owed them $700.00 which was recorded by them as owing $1,400 due to late charges. The office manager was mean and called me like a crazed bill collector and leaving mean messages. When I asked to come into the office and discuss, Not I was blocked from talking to anyone including Dr. I but I was sent to collections. Additionaly, they refused to take the braces off. So, I had to find another doctor who charged me $600.00 to take off the braces. Please keep in mind I met more than 95% of my financial obligation the 700 i owed was increased with late fees and other charges. The business team is Cruel and heartless and DO NOT CARE about the health of your child. PLEASE WATCH OUT. You may see other 4 or 5 stars but I have witnessed other parents in very heated arguments over their bills. PLEASE be CAREFUL. read more

Had an amazing experience with Dr Manal Ibrahim and her team!! Appointments are short and sweet, worked around my schedule. Always an informative apt, LOVE my results so so happy with how my teeth look was so self conscious and now cannot stop smiling. So happy with how they look and how easy it was. Amazing Bedside manner with entire team always accommodating and straight forward with payments and entire process !! I dont get the bad reviews ive seen. Dr. I and her staff are wonderful. For example, one of my brackets came off got an appt first thing the next morning. On another occasion the bottom wire broke called and got in the same day. All I can say is dr. I and her staff is all that. If u have concerns, by all means go check her out. We absolutely adore Dr. I. That is why I decided to write this review. After a friend told me about a reading the reviews here and I saw how wrong they are. I have 3 children and we have had 4 rounds of braces. Yes, I said four. We had put off getting braces and finally decided to look around for Orthodontists for all three. My 2 older children were less than trilled going to junior high and high school with braces but after meeting Dr. I, they were ready. If it were not for her my very resistant teens would have not gone through with it. WE saw her every visit and were welcomed with a warm hug each time. The fourth round was after my youngest had a mouth trauma. It could have been worse but thanks to the permanent retainers, she did not loose any teeth. We have known Dr. I over 6 years and highly recommend her to everyone!!!!! read more
