My friend had mentioned that this place was recommended to her by a coworker, so we figured we ought to grab lunch from here. The place doesn't have much seating inside, but we managed to get a table to sit at to eat our sandwiches. I got their saporito, which was quite good, especially their bread, but a bit messy. I managed to drip some of their oils from the sandwich onto my jeans, which was unfortunate, so be careful when eating their sandwiches! Comes up as a grocery store on Apple maps but it's definitely a panini shop! This place is so good and the quality of ingredients are insane. My panini only had 2 ingredients (prosciutto/burrata) on it and it was one of the best ones I've had here while studying abroad. There was a perfect amount of prosciutto on it and the burrata made it heavenly. I could even eat the bread by itself it was that good. I highly recommend this place. read more

I wanted to love this place more than I did but I thought it was a bit expensive for what you get. The sandwiches were good, the bread was fresh and warmed up, but I still felt hungry after eating my sandwich. The sandwich was not cheap at 9€. I couldn't eat any of the meat options (since I'm pregnant, no deli meats or cured meats, sadly) so I had to go with one of the vegetarian options (they had at least 6-8 choices to pick from, so that was good. I got the Broccoli: my sandwich had jarred marinated broccoli rabe, pickled zucchini, sun dried tomatoes, salad, a cumin hummus, eggplant and onions. I tasted mostly the broccoli rabe, pickled zucchini (tasted almost like dill pickles), and a lot of the sun dried tomato oil. It was delicious but not super filling for me. The bread is nice and fresh and toasted so that it's warm. Overall, if you eat meat, the meat sandwiches looked better to me than the vegetarian options. I would have preferred a normal sit-down meal for lunch, but this is good if you're in a hurry or if you want to grab a quick bite to eat before or after the Uffizi Gallery, as this place is really close. Everyone has their favorite sandwich shop in Florence and this just happens to be mine. Ino is located on a tiny little street behind the Uffizi gallery located towards the arno river. Finding it can be a challenge but when you do you'll be stuffing your face faster than Dante Alighieri can mutter 'Inferno'. Ino is special because of the quality of ingredients. Everything they use is specifically chosen, the bread is tasty, light and properly crispy avoiding the dreaded 'soggy sandwich' syndrome. I love that they have really good vegetarian options with tasty 'mostarda' (a savory chutney) that meshes perfectly with seasonable veggies and saffron-infused pecorino (sheep) cheese. House wine costs around 1.50 a glass and if you come early you can grab a coveted 'barrel' spot next to the floor to ceiling windows. Ino - Ti Amo. read more

It's a simple place, not much in terms of decoration, but it's cozy and comfortable; not too far from the Uffizi Gallery. Despite my general distaste for sandwiches, I had the best salami and cheese sandwich of my life at this place. It was delicious. Crunchy bread, perfectly seasoned and thinly sliced salami (some salami is way too salty), with a mild cheese...I'm going to say it was probably one of the best sandwiches I've ever had. Period. Service is brisk and not too friendly, but they're efficient, and the sandwiches are simple but delicious. At the entrance are several awards this little sandwich shop had received from multiple travel sites/agencies and food magazines/blogs. A must-stop for foodies. Very good panini place near the Uffizi tucked away in a side alley on the way to the Rialto Bridge. The menus are entirely in Italian, so be prepared to sort your way through that. The people working that day were very patient with my girlfriend and I as we tried to figure out exactly what we wanted. The inside is nice with a small room for ordering and a larger, modern space in the next room that you can sit down in. Paninis were great, made on some fresh bread with freshly sliced ingredients. Believe the hype! I loved this place so much that I came here twice. I usually shy away from the tourist areas for food as they're mostly a over priced tourist trap but this panini focused lunch stop completely made me a believer. Freshly crafted panini with a true focus of the Tuscan food artisans means some kick ass flavours on the warm crusty bread that just delight your taste buds. Menu is completely Italian (good sign) but the ingredient names are all familar. With a bottle of red wine and a great sandwich with thick chunks of tuna, sauteed rapini, and bright sweet lightly acidic tomato, I tucked in happily just savouring each bite. The prices for these fairly large sandwich was a reasonable 8 Euro each. The place isn't large at all and there's barely any seat but the modern space makes this quite a contrast to the large and grand architecture design of the Uffizi beside it. It's been said the wait can be super long but the staff making the sandwiches take great care in crafting your meal. Highly recommend this place for lunch! read more

Ah, that Toscanino. Definitely in the running for the best sandwich I've ever had. Crisp, chewy ciabatta bread. Freshly hand-cut pieces of salame and pecorino. And that magical fig mustard (at least I think that's what it was). The wife got a mortadella and parmeggian combo that I don't recall the name of, also quite good. The sandwiches here are all about keeping it simple with very high quality ingredients. They bill themselves as a gourmet sandwich shop, so the prices are understandably a bit higher than you would pay elsewhere, but worth it. We loved it so much that we changed our plans to go back for lunch a second time, although I unfortunately didn't enjoy my second selection quite as much (the habanero)... but I still walked away wishing I could try everything else on the menu. read more

We had already eaten lunch so we grabbed a few glasses of wine and waited for the rain to let up.
