She was first taken to another hospital, where the plan was to put her under anesthesia to reset her shoulder. Because she had a life-threatening reaction to anesthesia about 10 years ago, when she flatlined during surgery, we were extremely hesitant. Combined with the circumstances there, we decided to take her to Fairfax Hospital. That decision led us to Dr. Titus Park and his incredible team, and we are so thankful it did. From the moment we arrived, Dr. Park had a clear plan that did not involve anesthesia. He immediately put our entire family at ease with his calm confidence, compassion, and professionalism. My daughter was in excruciating pain--a true 10 out of 10. She asked one of the nurses if she would pray with her, and without hesitation, she kindly did. That simple act of kindness meant more than words can express. When Dr. Park successfully put her shoulder back into place, the relief was immediate. My daughter looked him in the eyes and said, "I could just kiss you!" It was such a heartfelt expression of gratitude because her pain was instantly gone. What also stood out was Dr. Park's wonderful bedside manner. Even in the middle of a stressful situation, he found a way to make us smile. He asked my two daughters, now both in their late 30s, which one was my favorite and which one had been the cutest baby. They both immediately raised their hands and looked at me, and I just turned my head. We all burst into laughter. It was exactly the kind of lighthearted moment our family needed. Dr. Park and his entire team turned an unbearable situation into a bearable one through their exceptional medical care, kindness, compassion, and genuine concern for both their patient and her family. We will never forget the care we received. Thank you, Dr. Park and your amazing team, for giving our daughter relief and giving our family peace of mind. We are forever grateful.

The quality of care here has steadily declined. We feel forced into the ER because our Primary Care…read moreprovider ignores everything beyond basic growth charts and vaccines. Unfortunately, the ER experience is no better; the priority is clearly "patient turnover" rather than "patient wellness." Every visit follows the same script: Urgent Care dismisses us with ineffective antibiotics for a supposed ear infection, and the ER rushes to discharge us without investigating the underlying cause. The staff is increasingly irritable, and the doctors seem to rely on snap judgments rather than diagnostic testing. It feels like the Hippocratic Oath has been traded for the bottom line. We aren't here for fun; we are here for help that we aren't receiving.

She eventually had to get out of bed herself, crying, just to find a nurse, even though she should not have been walking without assistance. Her nurse, (Johnathan) did not properly check on her throughout her stay. He also assumed she was in severe pain and administered a very strong pain medication stronger than morphine without adequately communicating with her as Spanish is her first language . She had a terrible reaction to it, becoming extremely dizzy and vomiting. My grandmother has serious health conditions and should not have been left waiting or put under unnecessary stress. During this time, her blood pressure rose to 195, which is extremely dangerous and could have led to a heart attack or stroke. This experience left our family feeling that her safety and well-being were NOT a priority. I strongly encourage anyone considering this hospital to do their research beforehand and carefully consider where they take their loved ones, especially elderly family members who require attentive care.

Cons: no live wait time on website, registration staff who truly DGAF, dirty waiting area Wait time: 2.3 hours just to get into an exam room (I was balled up in a corner in pain and begged for a blanket because it was cold inside and 50 degrees outside. They triaged me, took blood and urine and had me remain in the waiting room. Once I actually got into an exam room, things started to move more quickly. Care: Dr. Sidara was actually the saving grace here. He was incredibly nice and thorough, spoke to me with respect and care, and worked to address my issues as soon as possible. He was even able to pull info from past doctors visits, which included a slight ear infection and double checked my ears while I was there to make sure he didn't miss anything further. I won't go into all of the details of what he discovered, but had he not caught one thing in particular, I might still be in excruciating pain. What I didn't like is the fact that I was in an exam room for maybe 30 minutes, then they took me to get a CT. And once I finished the CT, I was not taken back to the exam room, but taken to the "results waiting" room. There, my IV hung in front of me, without being connected, for about an hour. When all of my results were back, the doctor returned to me and told me all the findings and the plan moving forward. I do wish they would have kept me overnight so that I could continue to be monitored and receive pain management medication, but I understand that's not necessarily typical treatment for what I was experiencing. Shortly after the doctor checked in with me, my discharge papers were drafted, and I was on my way out. I was there from 3:50-9 p.m. ish.

The "B" garage height limit is 6' 8" and our truck was a couple inches too tall. There was zero parking for large vehicles near the main building so we were forced to park on the street. After that, everything went smoothly and every interaction with the hospital staff was wonderful. They were helpful and caring. After surgery they put me in a huge recovery room. The sunrise and sunset views were very nice. The food was great and they never made me feel like I was a bother. The staff was constantly cleaning and keeping up with my medication. Before discharge I had to speak with a few nurses from different departments. Unfortunately, PT took many hours to see me so instead of leaving around 1pm, I was out closer to 7pm. These nurses, doctors, techs, etc. work very hard and don't seem to get the appreciation they deserve. They were all wonderful and easily the best part of my stay. Overall, besides the parking issues, this is a hospital that is significantly better than anywhere else I've ever been.

With multiple children, a small bruise is what triggers a CPS no-notice visit? Incompetent staff will let children scream in agony recovering from anesthesia, but don't show up with a normal kid with bruises! Might get a CPS visit that will stick with you unnecessarily! Anybody know a good lawyer for a lawsuit? Oh, let's not forget we're waiting for his appointment to check his vision and ensure he doesn't need glasses like his older sibling. But go ahead, call CPS. What could improve? Hire competent staff, learn to communicate with the family, and maybe rethink HCA priorities and values. But what's that to the bottom line of a for-profit health system cesspool? Edit: So since you guys inserted an IV and left a bruise on my kid from the IV, does that mean I can sue for malpractice? The CPS lady that visited called it a BS report and said they get a ton of BS calls from this location (HCA), so I used a bit of sarcasm, but seriously... check your kid over for bruises before you go here and if your kiddo does have a bruise, ask if anyone called CPS before you leave the location!
