Our daughter gave birth here and we loved how secure it was they take security very seriously which we appreciated . Everyone was very kind and helpful. Spoke with a neurologist while my mother was in a stroke code, he rudely stated "you said her symptoms started three hours ago now you're saying 11am". I understand the importance of correct timings, but that is NO WAY to speak to someone handling an emergency situation for their mother. The ER is overheated, and the nurses and the rest of the staff are all overextended. Personal privacy is listed in the patient's right section of their handbook, but there is absolutely ZERO patient privacy: I've now been in the hallway with just a curtain between me and the nurse's station for over eight hours, the last half of which were spent waiting for a room to check into overnight! Also, I have no idea how old the kid is in the ACTUAL ROOM behind me, but I'm guessing he probably doesn't want the entire waiting room knowing that it was necessary for the nurse to be touching his penis. I tried asking a nurse who was walking by if I could use the outlet next to me to charge my phone, and her answer was, "I'm BUSY." There is a patient now leaving because her pain is not being treated. Which is also in the handbook they make you take on your way in. I should not know that she has an order for 750mg of Tylenol, 800mg of Motrin, and an albuterol inhaler. Or that there was a 15yo in another room three hours ago for an overdose! I had to take my son to Prince William County Hospital ER. A host of unprofessional staff members. As a matter of fact, a nurse who never specified their name, filled his urine sample vials ON THE FLOOR right in front of me! Wowzers!! Did I mention that the "room" that my son is waiting to be seen in is merely a spot in the hallway with a partition attached. The registrar came and took my information. Only to send another incompetent to repeat the same. My child is in pain. The sense of urgency here is non existent. I WILL NEVER BRING MY CHILDREN HERE AGAIN! read more

Prince William County Hospital is often listed as one of the worst in the area. These bumblefux are oversaturated with ego and more concerned with providing you with pre-fabricated diagnosis rather than examining all the tests and providing a thorough analysis. After questioning the professionalism of Dr Adnan Jamil, who was very inconsistent in his conversations and notes, I suggested recording our conversations to eliminate any future inconsistencies. He gets very angry at me, and storms out of the room like a nutcase. He knows I'm prepared to have wound cleaning, so he immediately runs right to my records and drops my pain medication to nearly 0 as revenge so that I experience additional pain. The next day, Dr. Chris Heaton the hospital coordinator does his best to cover Dr Jamil's ass, but fails massively and orders me discharged that day. Everyone else had previously expected to see me for several more days. When I asked for his justification, he said that my wounds were no longer "angry red." I said that's cool, then how did you come to the conclusion that I was ready for discharge before you even saw me? There were no pictures of the wounds for him to access. So because I bruised the ego of his infantile little buddy, and clearly his own as he sat there chuckling like a clown, I was hustled out the door early. Can't imagine how many laws and ethics rules here were broken by taking revenge on me and then desperately trying to cover it up but you don't want to stay in a place that isn't going to address health issues and is more concerned with covering their own ass. I can't forget Little Miss Muffet, who "specializes" in IV lines, left me with giant black and blues after multiple attempts, rammed needles into nerves, and got into a pissing contest with me about how great she is and I'm the problem due to my veins. And Dr. Hend has a stick of conceit rammed so far up his ass, surprised he can walk straight. Nothing good at all to say about this barking attack mutt. I'm surprised he can even walk straight. STAY AWAY AS FAR AS YOU CAN!!! read more

I went to Paitent First in Manassas on Liberia on July 14, 2024. I slammed the car door on my thumb. After my initial first they confirmed that my thumb was fractured close to the joint after having some x-rays taken. I was informed to go to Prince William Hospital emergency area (UVA) because of where the fracture was located. One I got there my x-rays and vitals were taken again and waiting over 4 hours. I was informed I didn't have a fracture that they could see but my discharge papers said I had a closed fracture of the tuft of a distal phalanx of finger and how I should care for it. It also states that I'm supposed to follow up with another doctor. The next day July 15, 2024 Patient First calls me to inform me that my thumb isn't fractured after looking at the x-rays. (UVA) - Prince William Hospital called them and informed them of what they told me. I will never utilize your services UVA for malpractice because my thumb is broken. read more

Worst hospital ever. I had my first baby there 6 months ago. Had an iud put into my wrist and i told my nurse it was hurting like if it was pushed too far in and she did not adjust it, I had that misplaced iud in for 14 hours and to this day I suffer with sharp pain in my wrist. During my deliver I had a nurse who was extremely rude her name was Madeline and she was rolling her eyes the whole time and then said that the name I chose for my daughter was copying her name. So unprofessional, I named my daughter Adelina by the way, not the same whatsoever. 20 minutes into me pushing she got inpatient and started telling me that at this rate I'm gonna get no where and just being so discouraging. and it gets better. Once I finally had my daughter I got transferred to another room and stayed in the hospital for about 3 days after, nurses hardly checked on me or my child, they would only come in if they needed something. Anytime I needed something the nurse seemed so annoyed with me asking for it. On the second day of my stay postpartum my autistic sister spent the night with me, she was nervous to hold my baby which is understandable so I never pushed her to hold her or do anything she didn't feel comfortable with. And my nurse on that second nights name was nurse nigosi. She told my autistic sister "why are you even here if you're not gonna help" so fing disrespectful, she did and said more things . Nigosi is one I'd the worst nurses there and Madeline. In conclusion I'll be making that 30 minute drive to the Fairfax hospital never going back there again. Their er is the worst er too. I walked in with my daughter who had stopped breathing for a short period of time with her sitter and I rushed she'd to the er, took 2 hours to even be attended, people who entered after me got seen before me. read more

my husband was at the ER for about 7 hours. I was with him for 3 hours and no one came to give us an update or to check on him. Before I got there he had urinated on himself because there was on one around who could assist him. At around 10 am he was given medication so that he could fall asleep., it did not work at all but nobody knew because they had not checked on him. at 11:40 the nurse came in asking if the doctor had been there. he left the hospital because they just had him laying on a bed without a treatment plan. read more

My girlfriend was nauseous, losing coherence, and vomiting nonstop, not to mention not eating for 3 days. We called 911, the hospital picked her up at noon, and by 3am she was released with a "take nausea medicine, you'll be OK" and that was it. We end up calling 911 again the next morning due to her continued vomiting and lack of eating. The hospital released her again by 5pm. We took her to INOVA hospital in Fairfax. She had a swollen liver, possible Crohn's disease, colon complications, and a number of problems that should have been acknowledged. Had we taken the advice of this hospital and just taken her home, it scares me to imagine how bad her condition could have gotten due to this hospitals ignorance. Prince William released her twice for an issue she was in the hospital for 6 days for getting ACTUAL treatment by competent staff. Please avoid this hospital unless you are near death. This is the worst hospital, please avoid going here. I'm a PA and I've never witnessed such poor care and communication between staff. My husband was seen for abdominal pain in the ER, had a CT which showed GI bleed. He was admitted to the hospital and was told the GI staff would be in the following day in the early morning. In the middle of the night (around 3 am) he was woken by the nurse coming in to "restock the rooms" which is unacceptable as he was dealing with severe abdominal pain and was trying to sleep. Fast forward to the next day, they kept him NPO (no food or water). GI didn't end up coming in until 2pm, and said "The hospital shouldn't have had you not eat or drink." Poor communication as he hadn't eaten for almost 24 hours. At that point, GI said he could go home and schedule the colonoscopy outpatient. So essentially the hospital stay was a complete waste. One elevator at 8644 Sudley ( not the main building) has hand sanitizer containers that were empty on ever level. I mentioned it to the desk of the office I was attending. They said they have told maintenance about that almost daily and nothing happens. WHAT? Poor Covid precautions in a hospital??? Add to the former comments one about the ED..Two times my elderly husband and I have experienced the same ER nurse, a consistently dismissive and curt ER nurse, recently.we came to the ED via ambulance, one of us with pneumonia diagnosed in the ED..Approximately 1 am he told us to leave --we came in the ambo, no vehicle--he said "that's your problem, call someone" We had no one to call...finally the ED located an UBER to come and take us home HIS ATTITUDE AND ACTIONS ARE IN VIOLATION OF NCQA THE AGENCY THAT GOVERNS HOSPITALS AND WORKS CLOSELY WITH MEDICARE. Whoa! I'm not sure if I got here at a good time (3:45PM on a Tuesday), but I was in and out in 30 minutes! I was greeted at the front desk where my orders were confirmed. Then, I was checked in right away at the triage desk. I walked with my X-Ray orders to imaging. I was put in the system immediately and my name was called just four minutes later! It was taken back to X-ray where the tech took several pictures and gave me a CD. Everyone was friendly and so fast! People who checked in behind me were taken back quickly too. This is my second personal experience with NOVANT, the first time, they neglected me until I started going into anaphylactic shock, when I continuously told them that I was light headed and that my tongue was so swollen I could barely speak, this was at the Haymarket location. I recently went to the Manassas location (sent there by my doctor) for a CT Scan of my kidneys, I'd had pain urinating and tissue and blood in my urine. I have a very high pain tolerance, but I know when something is off with my body. The CT Scan came back as "possible kidney stone, but couldn't tell for sure" because "I'm thin." This was Tuesday, two days later, I go to INOVA Fairfax Hospital because I was going to the bathroom every few minutes and all that came out was blood. They quickly attended me, didn't even do a CT Scan, but took a urine culture and an ultrasound and found out I actually had a kidney infection, NO stones. Had I waited any longer, to "pass" the "stone" that Prince William told me I "might have" who knows what my condition would've been! read more

My father was in the hospital 2x. once in April 2018, then again in may of '18.. he was internally bleeding. they did an upper gi and didn't find anything. the first time in april the drs gave him FOUR units of blood.. they were basically filling a tire with a hole still in it.. it was a temporary fix. they pushed him off knowing something was still wrong. then in may he went back and received another 2 units.. same thing..they sent him home.. NOW AS OF JUNE 11TH, HE PASSED AT SENTARA HOSPITAL DUE TO NEGLIGENCE FROM THIS HOSPITAL. He was still bleeding. He had no insurance, and had very little money.. that being besides the point..when a dr takes their oath its to find the problem and FIX it at their best capability. you all failed my father, me, and the rest of my family. If you can, avoid coming to this hospital's emergency room at all costs. They actively engage in health care fraud. When my mom was admitted instead of billing her insurance, they attempted to make her pay her bill in full. And when I was admitted instead of honoring the contract with my insurance company, they tried to balance bill me. in addition to balance billing me, which is illegal according to the contract they signed with my insurer, they triple billed (they submitted the same claim three times to try and maximize their reimbursement). Also the staff are rude and make no attempts to try and comfort you despite your being there under dire circumstances. If this hospital has tried to swindle you out of money that you do not owe, please report them. read more

I would stay away from this hospital. I had a terrible experience here with my daughter. We came in bc we suspected appendicitis and we were correct. We walked into the ER at about 6:45 and were transferred to Fairfax NINE HOURS LATER!!!!! That is absolutely ridiculous! It took the longest time imagineable to get scans and bloodwork. My 12 year old daughters appendix most likely bursted inside their ER because they took so long. The worst part is that they clearly saw in their CT scans that the appendix had bursted and not once did they mention that to me. The reason for the transfer is bc they no longer have pediatric doctors and surgeons on call. Save yourselves the time and money and most importantly... save your life. So this is the nearest hospital to my family in the area, and unfortunately my grandma had to go there early this morning. She has C.O.P.D. And asthma and she was having problems breathing, they left her in the waiting room for THREE HOURS!!!!! Hooked up to nothing to help her breathe, she finally just got sick of it and left and called her doctors office. Apparently they weren't even that busy and they still made her wait which is ridiculous. I try to avoid coming here at all cost and this is one of the reasons why. read more

Went to emergency room. Dr. Smith was a great attending doctor and all of the nurses and technicians were friendly. Medical chart system well integrated across the entire Novant medical system and staff was well informed of all previous care. Was expecting a 3-4 star experience based on living in Prince William County for over 20 years and having all my doctors based at the medical center. I've always been satisfied but never blown away, but this ER visit went tremendously well. read more

Prince William Hospital (PWH) is not place to go. I dropped my mother off for x-rays and they put her in a wheelchair and sent her somewhere as I was parking the car. After parking the car, the lady standing at the door told me my mother can only have one person with her due to COVID-19. I was her healthy one person who left an 80 degree house and took time away from work to be with her. I was told I could sit in the door area or sit in my car. It was a very cold day. I sat inside and still got sick due to the weather being very cold with doors opening and closing and sitting around who knows what from people walking in and out of the hospital. This is another reason I'm not taking the virus game seriously. If the virus is as bad as I have heard, everyone across the country would be doing the same. However, I have heard and read the numbers are going down. PWH isn't anything like they were years ago. I moved to Manassas Dec 1965 shortly after PWH opened. To make a long story short, while waiting for my mother PWH was rude to an elderly man waiting for his wife. read more

I had possibly one of the worst experiences. I went to the emergency room one night around 11:30pm due to severe bloating, cramping and bleeding. I was sent to have an ultrasound and lower abdominal exam.. the nurse/ tech did not treat me like a patient. My pain was so unbearable that my blood pressure was actually high when they checked my vitals. While I was in the imaging room, she had me empty my bladder. When I walked in to the bathroom I couldn't even stand up straight. I was over bleeding so I called for her because I needed help. She told me i wasn't the first person to bleed and it was something she saw on a day to day basis and insisted I just come out so that she could proceed with taking my images. I sat in the bathroom for a couple minutes because I could not handle the pain.. and she continued to tell me to come out.. i called for her help again and she told me to come out. when I came out of the bathroom, I could not contain the tears coming out of my eyes because I couldn't believe that someone could treat me this way during such a vulnerable state. I told her I didn't understand how she could show no empathy and she would look at me and then back at the clock on the wall.. she asked me if I just wanted to go back into the Emergency Room and I told her I wanted to have my images done but that I was just in a lot of pain.. she did not seem to want to be helping me at all. We exchanged some more words and then she sarcastically said that she was sorry but that she had just been woken up from a nap and that she had worked for 42 hours.. I then said I understood and if she could just call someone else to help me instead. She then stated that she was the only tech in the entire facility and that I didn't understand what it was like to wanna just "get back to her family".. in disbelief, I called my mom (she was outside in the parking lot due to Covid) because I couldn't contain my tears from the pain and what was even happening in front of me... I told the tech that I, myself, did not want to be in the hospital but I had no choice.. she stepped out, came back in and took my images. I was trying to control my breathing to help with the pain. As she was doing my ultrasound, I apologized and said I understood how hard it must be to work in the hospital during these times but that she just was not showing any empathy, let alone and help.. she then began crying and said that nurses have been abused and walked all over since the beginning of Covid and that this was the reason why so many nurses have left and why she wanted to leave herself... I in no way was disrespectful. I just could not believe the experience I was having... I took the time to write this review because I believe this is not the way any patient should be treated. If you lack empathy, sympathy, or even a little sense of care, maybe look into a different career path.. i think of patients who are less vocal or maybe face language barriers and I can't imagine what it would be like for them. i took it up to the nurse in charge to bring the matter to light... I was told I'd be called back to file a report because the behavior was unacceptable and I never received a call. Everything is always been nice and courteous at this place, but tonight, at the maternity front desk, there is a so called frustrated security guard that couldn't make it to a cop, and he's mad at life, trying to take it out on us ,his name is DAVID M. We came for the first time to the front desk and started yelling at us saying NO! Nobody can't go back there, he kept saying she told me not to let anybody back there freaking out , GEEZ, chill the f.... out man, its not our fault that you have issues.. don't you talk to me like that, tell me that u cant let me in for a certain reason and i will understand , but don't yell at me like some pill popper in a freak out zone.....try to avoid this guy, as he is mentally unstable and probably even carries a gun legally... In 12/24/2007 I went in because I was losing my baby at 5 months gestation. I was practically alone most of the time. Nothing was ever explained to me. I was just left there. I was in pain and they did nothing. They seemed like they didn't want me there. Maybe because I'm Hispanic? Took them so long to react to me that by the time a sonogram was scheduled, he was coming out, and the guy wanted to use the vaginal stick probe knowing that I was losing a baby. It was a mess. I ran to the bathroom and he came out in my hands. Guy freaks out. I was taken back to the room with my baby in my hands and blood everywhere. They placed him in a pee pan. Then shortly after they tell me to leave. No meds. No pads. Just go. 2 days after my placenta comes out in my toilet at home. I don't know if treating patients that are probably immigrants with no medical insurance like dying animals on the side of the road normal, but I felt it. It was by far the worst personal experience next to Fairfax Hospital. read more

I haven't personally had an issue with PW ER .... yet. My fiance's 90 year old mother was taken to ER due to massive blood in her urine. They sent her home and told her to make an appointment with a urologist. Later that evening she was still in pain (and refused to go to PW) so we took her to Fairfax Hospital ER, where she remains (so far two days) while they irrigate her bladder and try to figure out why she won't stop bleeding. What is going on at Prince William Hospital!? Their reviews on here are horrible! read more

Slowest hospital ever. I went to the emergency room, they weren't busy but the whole admitting process took FOREVER!! First you give them your name and problem. Then you sit and wait for an hour or so. They they finally call you back and weigh you and put you in a room and you sit another hour or two. Then finally someone will come, just as you've figured they forgot you but they still take a long time to help you. And without telling you, or they act like they are doing it, they run 100 tests on you and bill you for all the things. So a short visit with someone who renders aid ends up costing you a mint. I sure would NEVER go there if the local clinics didn't close at 10 pm or so, leaving you little choice. But I think Sentara is ever worse so I guess no matter your trouble you need to leave Prince William county. read more

Terrible hospital, unfortunately my parents live in the area and my father is ill so this is where the ambulance must take him. If you are looking for hand hygiene compliance DONT have a loved one be transferred to the clinical decisions unit! Ugh gross... we had to ask for the house doctor to not treat my father because he's got no empathy, and is a complete joke medically. How does a 37 year old man with no prior known health conditions drive himself to a hospital and dies from Cardiac arrest 2 days later... My younger brother went to the Annex health center in Hay market after being told he had high glucose level at an urgent care center. He was admitted to the hospital and immediately administered with some IV and insulin. The staff seemed decent and compassionate. Well, he suffered from a heart attack at 5AM that morning with no explanation as to the cause. Thank fully the monitors picked up the signal and alarms alerted the nurses that revived him. He was then transported to a "better, more equipped facility", Prince William hospital. He was in good spirit, talking and chatting all day and even walked to the bathroom unassisted. That afternoon, a close family friend who is a nurse in the area called to check on him and when we told her what hospital we were at, this church lady who never curses exact words were "you need to get your brother the f*$k away from that hospital". We should have heeded to her warning but because my brother was not critical by any observable mean, we said he would be ok...oh the regret I now harbor. An EKG had been done that morning and we were still waiting for the analysis when i left the hospital at 8:30pm that evening. My brother complained of being hungry and nurses would tell him they are getting him soup but never returned...at about 6AM that morning, my brother had another cardiac arrest which the monitors DID NOT pick up. My sister staying the night with him woke up to gurgling and chocking noises and she ran out of the room screaming for the nurses and doctors but their efforts at that time was too late. No one could give us answers, nobody knew what happened... I need to know how a 37 year old otherwise healthy man drive himself to the hospital on Tuesday and is pronounced dead on Thursday....this makes no sense!! They were more interested in body parts than caring for him....Is this hospital a harvest farm for the body parts of young black men!?!?
