Came to the ER here very unexpectedly while in the area. I'm not from Virginia and had no idea what to expect. Cons: no live wait time on website, registration staff who truly DGAF, dirty waiting area Wait time: 2.3 hours just to get into an exam room (I was balled up in a corner in pain and begged for a blanket because it was cold inside and 50 degrees outside. They triaged me, took blood and urine and had me remain in the waiting room. Once I actually got into an exam room, things started to move more quickly. Care: Dr. Sidara was actually the saving grace here. He was incredibly nice and thorough, spoke to me with respect and care, and worked to address my issues as soon as possible. He was even able to pull info from past doctors visits, which included a slight ear infection and double checked my ears while I was there to make sure he didn't miss anything further. I won't go into all of the details of what he discovered, but had he not caught one thing in particular, I might still be in excruciating pain. What I didn't like is the fact that I was in an exam room for maybe 30 minutes, then they took me to get a CT. And once I finished the CT, I was not taken back to the exam room, but taken to the "results waiting" room. There, my IV hung in front of me, without being connected, for about an hour. When all of my results were back, the doctor returned to me and told me all the findings and the plan moving forward. I do wish they would have kept me overnight so that I could continue to be monitored and receive pain management medication, but I understand that's not necessarily typical treatment for what I was experiencing. A few things could be better but overall an amazing experience. We got to the hospital for my procedure and immediately had parking issues. The "B" garage height limit is 6' 8" and our truck was a couple inches too tall. There was zero parking for large vehicles near the main building so we were forced to park on the street. [[HIGHLIGHT]]After that, everything went smoothly and every interaction with the hospital staff was wonderful. They were helpful and caring.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] After surgery they put me in a huge recovery room. The sunrise and sunset views were very nice. The food was great and they never made me feel like I was a bother. The staff was constantly cleaning and keeping up with my medication. Before discharge I had to speak with a few nurses from different departments. Unfortunately, PT took many hours to see me so instead of leaving around 1pm, I was out closer to 7pm. [[HIGHLIGHT]]These nurses, doctors, techs, etc. work very hard and don't seem to get the appreciation they deserve. This place is ridiculous. Outdated, poorly ventilated, excuses galore, no simple answers as to why they do any one thing. My wife who just gave birth is in a room that can't get below 73 at night. The charge nurse explains she has this terrible room or an even smaller room cuz they dont have the capability to monitor my wife any where else. She can not leave the bed for 24hours and these awful rooms are their answer. The engineer comes in at 2am and by his own admission the room we are in NEVER blows air well. This is the single most disrespectful experience in a hospital setting I have ever seen. This is an awful way to treat postpartum women DO NOT LET YOUR SPOUSE DELIVER HERE YOU WILL REGRET IT. read more

I had an ER visit followed by a 6-day hospital stay in 2023. The care was outstanding and I was very impressed (and healed!). Subsequently, both my wife and I have been going to the VHC out-patient pavilion for primary care and cardiology and have been impressed with the patient care and customer service. Our only complaint is with the business office. Our insurance coverage has changed twice during that period and attempts to update the policies online (both on website patient portals and VHC app) proved fruitless. We received bills with substantial balances because the old insurance was billed and rejected. We tried to send emails to the business office asking them to resubmit the bill to the new policy but nothing happened. No one responded and the bills remained outstanding. Eventually we called the business office and resolved the issue within minutes. It is very frustrating trying to fix billing issues and update insurance online when whatever is done seems to disappear into a black hole. It seems the only way to successfully interact with the business office is by telephone. read more

I called an ambulance since my 90 year old mother fell. She was bleeding profusely from a cut on her nose and had a large egg size knot on her forehead. When she got to the hospital they put her in the emergency waiting room. 45 minutes later they came and got her. Put her in a room. T29 minutes later they came and got her for a scan. Instead they moved her to another side of the emergency room and placed on a stretcher in the hallway . No scan yet. This is a horrible hospital. We will use Fairfax instead. So an hour or so later. My mom was found unconscious and bringing her to the emergency department at VHC was a MISTAKE. They didn't give her an IV. We were left alone for over 3 hours. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We pressed "call for help" buttons in the room to no response.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] At one point, I tracked down a nurse to ask for water because my mom was severely dehydrated when she woke up, and the nurse said she wasn't sure if my mom should have water but reluctantly gave me a cup of tap water. If she has no IV, of course she needs water after several hours?? They were also grossly vague about wait times for tests - they said "you'll receive results within the hour" and we waited from midnight until dawn, over 6 hours, and even then they didn't go over any test results or billing questions. They just told us she was stable and discharged. This place is a travesty. The hospital in my rural college town provided infinitely more professional and considerate care. I recently came to VHC with pain on my left side. Turns out it was pancreatic pain likely caused by gallstones, & ultimately, my gallbladder had to be removed. This wasn't my first time here, & once again, VHC did not disappoint. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place is clean, the staff is very kind, & what really stood out is that they genuinely had my best interest at heart.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] From triage to admission, the level of care here is consistently top-tier. That said, I do want to call out one area for improvement: triage was fast & efficient, but the wait between triage & actually getting to the back was long. If you're in the ER in pain, waiting 2-3 hours for relief is rough. I hope they can find a way to stabilize patients a bit quicker. Aside from that? Pretty close to perfection. While that approach shouldn't translate to making patients feel rushed, I understand the business side of healthcare & am open-minded about it. I've been through hell with this place. This past weekend was the last straw. I have been trying to get a test done through Labcorp and the last two times they really screwed things up. I turned to VHC for my last resort. [[HIGHLIGHT]]In previous visits staff have been rude, the understaffing is crazy, and the staff there (with exception to a few) are disrespectful, accusatory, and, have no regaurd for their patients.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] So as you can imagine I was very nervous how this particular visit was going to go. I came in for blood work and urine testing. I arrived and was already holding my urine and having trouble doing so. I rushed up to the main lobby to try and find a bathroom before I had an accident. There was a long line to get a badge, I left the line, desperate for a restroom. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I was SCREAMED at by one of the "security" people from across the lobby. Granted he said nothing to the three other people heading for the elevators before me. He continued to yell at me while I was still trying to find a restroom, yelled over me when I tried to communicate to him I was desperate[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. He stood there still talking about me to the other visitors around him. Mumbling under his breath, as I pissed my pants waiting in line. I made it to the lab in tears at this point, and let them know I may not be able to give the urine sample. I was humiliated.. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They contacted the patient advocate who came but was useless. She kept apologizing to me but sitting embarassed in soiled pants it did little good.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I wanted an apology from that staff member in the lobby and to make sure he never acted toward another patient again. He was gone, and the other employee who witnessed the event just stood there justifying his behavior and apologizing. I left to go home and shower and to change. Then rush to a meeting. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Over the weekend I called to try to obtain an extra container for another test I was conducting at home. I was again met with THE RUDEST employees[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. I even called the ER to ask for help in finding out how to obtain another container. [[HIGHLIGHT]]When the clerk was done arguing with me I asked for the charge nurse. With a huff she transferred me to a phone that was answered an set down on the counter. No one actually picked it up but I could hear plenty of information being discussed in the background as the phone sat there on the desk[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. I hung up (out of respect for the patients' privacy) and called another operator that refused to transfer me to SOMEONE who could help. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Finally I got an answer, but again in tears I just hung up. I didn't go to get the extra equipment I needed (and they screwed up my 24 hour urine anyway). Because I was so put off and uncomfortable going back[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. I had to return to drop off my test. and saw the same man in the lobby that had screamed at me. I hurried through dropped off my urine and asked for his supervisor. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I spoke with him (he was totally disengaged and rolling his eyes) and asked for an apology. He walked over to this person and by their body language as they discussed me (waving off my entire presence, and again disregarding me entirely) I told the supervisor I had enough, he obviously couldn't have cared less and the screamer? He cared less than his supervisor did[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. As I walked out patient advocacy called me and I told her not only about what I just experienced but how the entire weekend went. She again apologized, made excuses, and then said something so ludicrous it honestly made me giggle( because I couldn't react any other way). "Our employees dont offer patients apologies." I flatly asked her why she apologized, why the lab ladies apologized profusely, EVERYONE but the person who owed me one. She made more attempts to give excuses, but the damage was done, there was no "service recovery" option anymore. She still tried to speak and I told her not to contact me again, that the facility was disgusting, and so we're the people involved, including herself. When I hung up the lab manager called me (I had discussed at great length with her about the problems I'd been having with the other lab trying to get a test completed. I thought we were good to go when I handed the equipment to get my at home urine collection done. NOPE, they couldn't accept the sample, I had to have a special kit. I was aware of all this and it just wasn't getting done through the other lab. Of course I was blamed bla bla, more of what I was getting from the rest of the hospital. SonI went through all of that for absolutely nothing. Please go elsewhere for your care. This experiance was so traumatic and patients should recieve better treatment and respect. As a Healthcare provider myself I'm appalled at my treatment. I could NEVER dream of treating people that come for help and care like this. I did not go here in person, but they still saved me. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I called on a Friday late afternoon to see if they'd be able to see me that night. I thought I had bronchitis or something similar. After listening to my symptoms, Nurse Ingrid insisted I go to the ER.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I was sure she was just fobbing me off to another place because they were busy, but she was adamant that I needed to go to the ER. so, I drove myself to VHC, and told them it was really nothing, but that urgent care on 23rd told me to come in. Long story short, it turned out that I had a previously undiagnosed heart condition, something that requires treatment I wouldn't have gotten if the nurse hadn't been so insistent that I shouldn't just wait it out. Absolutely awful nurses and techs on 3rd floor. My mother had brain surgery and needs help using the restroom and it took 15 minutes for someone to come. When my mother had a bowel movement accident, our nurse came in, saw the mess, and then just left. She never came back to clean up the mess, so after 15 minutes of realizing that she was not coming back, I cleaned it up. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The techs are mean - or at least the night staff techs are mean.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] it was 6am, and my mother woke me up to say she needed to use the bathroom. She also needed a new gown and [[HIGHLIGHT]]I said to the tech Whitney, she needs a special gown. I said this because the gown they usually use wasn'[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]t what she was supposed to wear. I couldn't recall the difference except the colors which I described to the tech. Then I heard the tech and the nurse laugh outside at me calling it "special." [[HIGHLIGHT]]It was 6am and my mom has been in the hospital for 5 days - could you show some compassion?[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I know the care was awful because we were in the ICU for three days, and we had a wonderful experience with all the nurses there. [[HIGHLIGHT]]On the third floor, the only nurse who was wonderful was Reynna. She was responsive to our calls; compassionate; and she cleaned up my mother when she had an accident.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] No other nurse on the third floor did that. read more

On March 1, I went to the Emergency Room at Virginia Hospital Center in Arlington after severely injuring my hand. I was in intense pain and it was serious. I ultimately needed 17 stitches. What could have been a frightening and overwhelming experience instead became something I'll always remember for the compassion and professionalism shown to me. We both enjoyed the care we received, and found attending doctors, nurses and other personnel warm and friendly[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. I did have one nurse dig around to insert a blood port with some attending pain, but you could find such a nurse anywhere. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Driving a good way to see my brother (after visiting hours, unknowingly), who interestingly was put into Kaiser's wing in the women's medical building, my ride and I were intensely vetted by the attending receptionist, Edith, and I was only allowed to take food in and not to stay.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I noticed how carefully she screened everyone coming and going, and actually applauded her, since other hospitals seem to allow people entry and wandering through the halls. As to parking at that building on my second visit, I use a cane and found entry to the building from the rear quite demanding, but managed to get in a back door and worked my way up to reception, this time without being noticed! read more

I really have to give it to Virginia Hospital Center. My most recent hospital experience exceeded all my expectations. First, I found my literal GOD-status, rockstar of a neurosurgeon here, who literally saved my life. For this alone, there are just not enough stars. In addition, I was fortunate enough to have a private room with a great view and an awesome nurse staff (much love to Ms. Bidya!). Even the meals, which I was a bit worried about, were actually pretty decent - they were fresh and arrived hot! I really appreciated the frequent checking in, the thoughtfulness, and the compassion from the staff - there was such an effort in ensuring that I was as comfortable as possible. There were some hiccups/cons, but I was able to overlook them due to the overall experience: +the ER is more on the inefficient end - there seems to be a communication issue between the doctors/specialists and the ER staff, and the wait was pretty horrific +it is paid parking only in the garages; some services offer validation for all-day +some of the pillows had some funky smell to them, so request them to be swapped out +not really a convenient route to get to the VHC, unless you are in the neighborhood/neighboring 'hoods I've also found other doctors/specialists through VHC, in which I have been very satisfied with (considering I am so picky!)! Just had my second horrible experience with VHC Arlington South. I was 8 minutes late, due to a snow storm that started half an hour before my appointment and my driver was being slow and caustious due to the increasingly slick roads. Not only would they not see me because I was 8 minutes late(they give a 5 minute grace period), the office staff was very rude about it. I've never been seen within 8 minutes of a doctor's appointment scheduled for late afternoon and am sure if I'd been on time it would have taken more than 8 minutes for me to be taken back to see the doctor. read more

VHC's Emergency Room was a horrible experience. Absolutely not recommended. As described in many other reviews, the staff are rude, negligent, and unsupervised. The facility is dingy, run down, and unclean. Our room was dirty, with spills and wrappers on the floor that were not cleaned up from the previous patient. The staff stepped over the stains and trash and left it. The rings in the privacy curtain had been ripped through and it was sagging, unrepaired. The sink in one of the restrooms had no running water so you could not wash your hands. We waited for 8 hours to be transferred out of the ER. We saw other patients and their families also waiting miserably for hours for their transfer to the regular part of the hospital. Read the other reviews of the VHC ER. They are very consistent with our experience. This was the most unprofessional hospital experience we've ever encountered. read more

The nurse in the ER started an IV for my neice. The nurse was giving my neice medication via IV I asked her what is the name of the medication you're giving her, she started to spell a medication name that started with an L - and was a very long name then she said I don't know name it's so long. Then she left the room with the medication attached to the needle she was putting the medicine in/out of the bottle it came in inordinate to give my neice the medicine, she came back in approximately 5-8 minutes & had another smaller empty bottle of medicine and gave it to me the name started with a M not the same name she said earlier. It's possible she switched the medication, not sure what she actually gave my neice. Be careful always check to see what you are being given. read more

Grandson #4 decided to make his entrance early at 33 weeks. I feel very confident with VHC as my last Grandson was born at 35 weeks. Shout out to Nurses Meg in Antepartum and Jade in Labor and Delivery(who is also a Howard Alum!!) . As I am also a Nurse, they make me proud with their amazing care they delivered. The staffed is very attentive and thoughtful and that makes all the difference in the world. I felt that my Daughter and Grandson were safe with the double check in process. The hospital was very bright and clean. I love the decor photos of all the beautiful babies. I had an amazing experience and would recommend VHC to anyone. read more

I wish I could leave 0 stars. I had a horrible experience with their failure to coordinate care which was required after discovering a serious medical issue via ultrasound that was supposed to be called into my outpatient provider for a stat medication. They either never made the call or their VHC outpatient provider on call failed to respond. After an hour, this led to a mandatory ER visit (or would have been leaving AMA without a life preserving medication which was all that was needed) and thousands in unnecessary bills that I'm now forced to pay. I believe they didn't contact the provider on purpose so they could force my hand to the Emergency room and increase their payment. Totally fraudulent and dishonest hospital practices at VHC. Shame on you VHC for continuing to be a part of the healthcare problem instead of the solution. read more

So, this place is a complete mess. It's the blind leading the blind. No covid or flu tests ( they let them expire)which is just incompetence) . [[HIGHLIGHT]]I waited 50 mins on the phone trying to to make an appointment[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. I had to insist that they squeeze me in because I needed a referral to go to another office. How do you get a referral if they dont have any appointments? It's crazy! I eventually got an appointment at VHC Kingstowe, but they had no Covid or flu tests either!! The doctor at Kingstowne said they had found some tests back in old town and said to go back there. I drove back to OT and just as I parked my car I got a call saying the doctor was wrong and I could not have a test there. All this when I felt so sick! You could t make it up! Finally - you will basically have to wait a month to see the doctor of your choice. What's the point? I eventually went to minute clinic and got tested in 5 mins. Was about to criticise this place for not handling a family member of mine with care at all based on what she was telling me when I visited her... making it seem like the workers simply did not care for her at all and were ignoring her. Turns out we were completely wrong because my family member literally forgot everything the hospital workers did for her! So sorry for doubting them! The nurses walking around may initially seem like they're goofing off or laughing and chatting in the hallways, especially when you're panicking about someone you're visiting, but they're actually doing proper work! They are very attentive and are willing to help out, even when they aren't the proper person - they'll go out of their way to find the right person. Even when they're about to leave for home, they're extremely kind and helpful. They were even able to find someone to translate for my family member, which I'm sure was hard for them. Although, sometimes it took a while for the nurses to find the right person to talk to, as they kept passing the baton to another nurse and another nurse, so it did give off an impression that they didn't know anything, which was concerning at first. They seemed to be very on track with what they've been doing and with any updates that are happening with the patient. Rooms and hallways are relatively clean too. Parking fee for the hospital took me off-guard though. read more

I do not recommend any CNA or PCT or Clinical Technician to work at this hospital. [[HIGHLIGHT]]After the recruiters take up to two months to make the first contact, you go on to the interview with the manager of the clinical unit, who has little authority when making decisions regarding the new staff.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]After the manager interviews you, you are interviewed by two future coworkers, who are at your same level and even if everything seems excellent, if they do not give their approval, they deny you the opportunity to demonstrate your knowledge, skills and experience for the position you are applying for.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]After this last and traumatic step, which I have decided to call traumatic because we give our best in the interview, and in my particular case with 32 years of experience and a health professional from another country, with a license to practice in this country, I feel that perhaps they are afraid of my abilities and do not want anyone to shine more than them.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The worst thing about this situation is that they never tell you why they did not hire you.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I feel that it could be due to discrimination regarding a foreign language. The truth is that in the 5 interviews I have gone to, my coworkers have said no... it is definitely a waste of time, the desire to provide an excellent service and above all, there is a loss of respect for a health institution like this VHC, which lacks seriousness when it comes to screening future new employees. There is a lot of favoritism and they set aside work and put their personal preferences instead of work-related ones... I trust God a lot and for some reason God did not allow me to work there. They allow them to sit there in the open vomiting and smelling up the whole emergency room- this has to be a potential health hazard! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Then once inside the ER doc wanted to argue with me about my current medications and treatment that other doctor gave. Really? Though aesthetically pleasing, since the move the quality of care has diminished in respect to timely test results. Timely results do not exist here any longer. I had a diagnostic test order but the scheduler refused it and said I need the provider to change it to standard. My provider advised me to go to Fairfax. I should have listened. What once took a day for results has extended to a week. Quite a difference from Inova Fairfax whose Innovation center is just as nice, but the non diagnostic results are received in a couple hours. Avoid this ER like the plague. The waiting procedure is horrid. Despite being sent by my neurosurgeon (the same day in the same building) for a herniated disc, I was made to wait for hours in severe 9/10 pain. It is so clear that the people who do the ER check-in do not want to work there. Further, the 20-some security guard who was passing out masks, wore his to cover his chin. The message is clear --- we don't care. Flee. Try Inova-Fairfax, ER. This is a horrid shame. Healthcare begins at the first encounter -- telephone, scheduling, waiting room. read more

Waited for over 3 hours without seeing anyone- Arrived at 4:30 am- waited 90 minutes in waiting room, finally got into a room at about 6:15am, walked out 8:15 since urgent care was open. read more

On a high note, reception staff are kind and helpful. Doctors take time and listen. Appreciate them. On another side, seems they order urine and blood work for the company to expand profits as the markup to actual cost is astronomical. Also, their processes need fixing. Three notices my appointment was at 10:00 and to arrive 15 minutes early. After waiting for 20 minutes I inquired and was told my appointment was at 10:15. Wasn't seen until 10:45. Said they just tell you that to ensure you are on time. Same thing happened at another location. Made an online appointment. Arrived prior as instructed, then told it was 15 minutes later than I reserved. Don't assume people can't tell time or be prompt. Also, parking is expensive and no disabled spots near new pavilion entrance. read more

Really lovely experience at this hospital (despite being in the ED....) Came in after being referred by an urgent care down the road as I had some virus & couldn't keep liquids / food in for days. The triage nurse met with me within ~10 min of arrival and I was in a room within ~20 min of arrival. The doctor and nursing staff were all very attentive, thorough and kept me informed throughout my visit. All the rooms - including waiting room - were super clean and looked up to date. Experiences in EDs are usually not pleasant (by nature of the visit). Super thankful for all the doctors and nurses at this hospital. read more

I had the most traumatizing delivery I could have ever imagined at VHC. Everything was going well until it was time to push my baby out. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The doctor who delivered my baby did not have good bedside manner and her communication was truly awful.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I ended up pushing for a few hours before she asked me if I want to do a vacuum assist or a c section. Well.. I've never done this before, I have severe anxiety, am in discomfort, and would have appreciated the actual DOCTOR to provide better advice on what she thought would be the best and safest option for me.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Since baby's head was low I said vacuum because it seemed like the easier and safer option. She clearly did a bad job with the vacuum because I suffered serious complications after, including a severe laceration that caused postpartum hemorrhage. I lost a liter of blood. I had to go to the OR right after delivery because they couldn't repair me bedside. I'm laying on the OR table just hearing things like "it's not working" thinking I'm going to pass away that night. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The doctor, named Dr. Jessica Reyes Peterson, described my injury as "irreparable" saying they could not stitch me up, and then I was taken to get a CT scan to see if there was arterial damage before going back to labor and delivery.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]No one told my husband what was going on so when I got back to the room we hysterically sobbed together.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Then the doctor came back to the room to tell me I thankfully didn't damage an artery & offered to stitch up my external tears.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I had gone through so much trauma, lost a liter of blood, and thankfully my husband made the decision to not do any more interventions that night because of what I had gone through. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I also asked her if she has seen an injury like mine to which she just said "no I haven't" and then proceeded to tell me that the doctor she brought in to help with my injury has only seen it once, further making me believe I have some horrific injury I will never recover from.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I also had to get a blood transfusion that night because of critical blood loss. Apparently my tear, an internal deep laceration called sulcal tear, is something most doctors HAVE seen many times. Every doctor who checked on me after that night told me they have seen things like this before and although my injury is deep, it can heal. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Dr. Reyes Peterson also never told me that I would have a follow up surgery the next day! All she said was that it needs time to heal on its own and that it will take weeks to heal.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]To my surprise the next day, an amazing doctor visited me and had wonderful bedside manner & told me she was confident they could repair me and they did.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] But why did the other doctor not explicitly communicate these things to me? I had a vaginal delivery and couldn't hold my baby for two days, didn't get out of bed for two days and am absolutely traumatized. I've also developed a vaginal hematoma from her horrible use of the vacuum instrument, which is apparently a rare complication. I'm now trying to heal from this horrific experience and while I may physically heal in several months, the emotional damage this experience has caused me is irreversible. I always wanted two children and this experience ruined that dream for me. What was supposed to be a beautiful day ended up as a 4 night 5 day hospital stay with two trips to the OR, a CT scan, and two blood transfusions. That being said, all of the other doctors I saw were great and the labor and delivery nurses are actual angels on earth, but still cry every day from what I went through and am living in a nightmare. read more

I went to Urgent Care with flu symptoms, a 103 temp, blood pressure higher than normal, resting heart rate of 120. Negative for flu and Covid. They sent me on my way with Tylenol and cough medicine! I urged the NP to give an antibiotic because something was wrong. They refused. Guess what! I have pneumonia! I don't think they were thorough in their care for me. Clearly they don't listen to their patients. I'm not asking for pain meds or scheduled drugs....just an antibiotic! After receiving a second opinion, I'm currently getting better! read more

I was required to reschedule an appointment due to lack of records. VHC still billed me for the non- existent appointment with a bill that arrived online and via mail. It is absolutely clear to me that this organization is not interested in patient care and is only interested in profit. Looking up their tax documents via 990 finder Board members make 2million+ per year. Do not think for one minute that this organization claiming to be a non-profit has anyone's best interests in mind. As a new client I am exceptionally disappointed. I have been here multiple times and have been assisted by nurses who are caring . I was in the emergency room yesterday due to a prior surgery I had so I was in a lot of pain that sitting and walking hurts. When I was taken back from a nurse name Missy it was disgusting what type of human she is and is considered a nurse ! She was not caring , she pulled me from my chair to get me to the bed didn't care I was in pain and rushed me to hurry up to the bed because she stated her back was going to give up when my mom was assisting me as well on getting up at my pace. Then she assisted an elder man with patience and care to get him to the bedding. The type of assistance she provided me was DISGUSTING no concern at all with the pain I was in, she has HORRIBLE BEDSIDE MANNER !! read more
