This place gave me one of the worst experiences of my life. They struggled to do my IV/contrast…read more The first nurse inserted the needle 2 times in each arm= 4 times. The next nurse tried about twice in one arm and finally got it in the other arm. = 3 times. In total, I received 7 needle jabs. I told one of them that I had never experienced this before and she replied: "Well, it's a first time for everything." After finally getting the mri with contrast and without, I get a call from my doctor because they told her that they couldn't tell what they saw on my study. They weren't sure. I couldn't believe it. After that horrible day, they were unable to read the test or determine a diagnosis, so I'd need to do it again. Also, as I was about to leave, they mistook someone else's car for mine and told me I would be towed because I didn't have a parking sign. I actually did. I showed them so it was resolved. Please reconsider going here. My visit was a series of unfortunate events.

The shamming was unrelenting. If you want people to come in for mammograms maybe don't shame them if it's been a while since their last one, your making things worse not better. Guess who doesn't want to come back now because you all were so rude? Me. Be professional, don't be a jerk! It's not that hard.

I have had significant issues with charges being more than quoted over the phone, incomplete communication about authorization, deductibles, and other things. However, generally speaking, they have gotten the job done. I don't like that parking needs validation and they only validate up to 1.5 hours - and some mammograms take longer with ultrasound and additional imaging. They also can be a bit short over the phone, and fail to provide context that other radiology facilities might be more inclined to include. However, I do appreciate that this location has a broad range of services available and is prompt with answering calls and attempting to answer questions. Never my first choice as there are some amazing radiologist in the area, but a lot of them have inconvenient appointment times and can take months to schedule. I wouldn't suggest parking on the street, as the police ticket cars immediately when the meter expires. The parking garage is also an issue when going for a first mammogram as they tend to take longer. For subsequent visits, they are good about getting patients out very quickly while still doing what needs to be done. Though, you may feel rushed, I do like it better this way than worrying about having to pay for going over time in the parking garage. One thing I don't like about them is that they had been charging $20 for a CD to bring back to your provider. The other radiologists that I've been to have never charged me for a CD, so I was very disappointed as my provider was shocked that the CD costs exta and she prefers the CDs to go over the findings with patients in an extended consultation with lots of visuals - she apparently needs to CD to do this effectively, so I was not able to receive the same level of detail about my treatment plan that I previously received, due to having my imaging done at Tower Radiology. I hope that they reconsider this charge. Anyway, I think it is better to know what to expect going into it. I added an extra star for convenience.

I was put at ease right from the start by the courteous, highly professional and compassionate staff. The preparation for the procedure involved starting two IV lines, which in my case, due to very small veins, is easier said than done. I had people sticking me in both hands at the same time, but they were super nice about it. Somehow, everyone managed not to become aggravated. I was especially impressed by Dr. Raggio, who was patient, personable and very knowledgeable. He thoroughly explained everything that he was about to do and made sure that my decision to go ahead with the procedure was well-informed. I can't say I've ever had fun during a medical procedure, but it was quick and easy, and I actually enjoyed the experience. If only all medical teams were this good! Oh! and they give you a sandwich and something to drink while in recovery; a very thoughtful gesture when you've been instructed not to eat or drink anything after midnight the night before. Rafi was encouraging (even though my current state was pretty unhealthy) and gave me the tools that I needed to start my health and fitness journey. After two months I went back for a follow-up scan. I was a little nervous because I didn't think I would see much progress but much to my surprise I had dropped fat and gained muscle. Once again, Rafi was encouraging and told me to keep up the good work. In another four months I went back in for a follow-up scan and was happy and encouraged to find that I've lost a total of almost 13 pounds of fat and have gained 4.5 pounds of muscle. Rafi provided me with the knowledge I needed to work towards the results I wanted and seeing those results on paper is a huge motivator for me. I physically watched them fax the order to them, oh well. So today, we drove over there in person to schedule an appt. and they told her, "oh, we don't perform that MRI here and then never offered to help her schedule elsewhere". That piece of information would have been helpful before we drove all the way over there from Chantilly. The person at the front desk said that she was "too busy" even though my mother was the only one at the front desk at the time (approx. 1:30pm on Tuesday February 3, 2026). My friendly and mild-mannered mother told the woman at reception that "in her (88) years she had never received such poor service" and walked out the front door. I didn't just feel bad for my mother but I felt bad for all the elderly people that must go thru something similar. It's not easy to get out at that age and drive across town thru the cold and snow, just to find out that (MRI of Reston) CAN'T and ultimately WON'T help you. Awesome customer service every step of the way, including when patient spoke to the staff and questioned their system of taking information and verifying the information. Amazingly when same patient repeatedly questioned the protocol of the office, calmly the staff addressed the question and followed their requirements. In this case the patient behaved as if they should be in charge and as if their personal information should already be understood. This appears to be the perfect lesson to honor protocol, imagining the reaction this same patient would have if anything went wrong. Each step of the way the service was 5 out of 5. Outstanding. The service was pretty good and fast-the lady behind the counter took my info, got me to sign forms, gave me directions. Simple. I got my ultrasound quick enough and the doc/nurse who handled the care was professional and friendly. No complaints there. I think the best part is their service is really fast. They sent me results to my regular doctor within 24 hours!! That's a super fast turn around time! I really appreciated that because waiting for medical info is the worst kind of wait. I'd recommend this place!

Seems like a shoddy place to do business with. I had no interest in re-scheduling and wasting more of my limited time. Will be seeking a refund from the service that sent me there.
