You'll probably be working with PTAs rather than DPTs or MPTs yet paying the very high rates set for licensed PTs. So, this is a model made for the benefit of the owners and not clients or patients. It may be efficient for the owners but not cost-efficient or as effective for patrons. For a fairly new facility, equipment already looks really worn & so do the treatment rooms. Highly professional environment is not how I'd describe it. Evaluation wasn't as comprehensive as I'd hoped. They charge for absolutely everything they can to increase your bill so they can charge insurance. And the rates are so high! What the insurance company doesn't pay will leave patrons with a pretty hefty bill. On top of that, never received an actual write-up of the evaluation and never could get a formal home program no matter how many times it was requested. What the heck?!? That felt like they just wanted to keep a person coming back and not practice outside of therapy to improve more quickly. That seems to go against getting off the caseload as quickly as possible for significant improvement and instead encouraging more frequent in-house sessions so you can be billed massively for each one. Kinda counter to any type of ethical therapy practice of any kind. They're not cheap. I'm happy to pay for consistent high quality services if one gets what they pay for. Can't say that's what I got here with any certainty. If one is working only with PTAs, then charges should reflect that lower level of expertise & training. If one is working directly with a licensed PT, charges should appropriately reflect that level of expertise. Length of sessions always fluctuated (always in the direction of shorter sessions) yet billing remained the same for each visit & in some cases charges tacked on for procedures not rendered. That's an example of their inconsistency. Worth the drive? Ummm...So, if you choose Chiron, manage your expectations. For elite athletes (elite as in you can afford the high rates) looking to recover & get your mojo back, then this may be the place for you. Definitely felt like money was a huge incentive here. For patients needing quality & compassionate clinical PT care, I'd suggest finding a practitioner and setting more geared toward providing that type of expertise & level of care.

The insurance coordinator, front desk staff, and PTs and PTAs are absolutely wonderful. My child has also utilized the facility for their sports performance program to build stabilizing muscles and bulk muscle safely so that he will reduce his chances for injury as he grows. The facility inside is gorgeous and everything still looks new. The PTs keep everything clean, even wiping it down once more before you use it. We have also used 2 other PT organizations in the area and like 1 of the 2. However, NSMI does sponsor Loudoun Soccer and we were seeking sports-specific rehabilitation for soccer and kicking in football.

While she did make some improvements in her mobility she was not able to transfer out of her bed or wheelchair without assistance. She also wasnt able to walk independently with a walker during her last PT session yet they still seemed to think 8 hours of in home care upon returning home would be adequate. They sent us with a wheel chair that she cant even use because due to her arthritis she cant bend her knee enough to use the foot rests!!! They didnt give me a list of equipment I needed to get (aside from wheelchair, walker, and bedside camode) when her in home caregiver arrived this morning (her first morning at home) she asked about a lift belt and she was shocked they didnt send her with one. My mother ended up back in the ER after a sleepless night for both of us with her in so much pain. Encompass refused to take her back and her physician there blatantly LIED to her ER Dr about her abilities prior to discharge. The DR in the ER absolutely didnt belive them as she has eyes on her now and can see how in pain she still is. What they have done is criminal and I am FOURIOUS that they would out right lie to cover their asses. Believe all the one star reviews and try somewhere else, the hospital is now working on getting her transferred somewhere else with, hopefully, competent staff. STAY AWAY is my only advice here.

I literally could not walk after having hurt my back lifing a small piece of luggage. As a physician myself, I am very careful who I allow to work on me. They helped me get out of the car and worked on me until I could walk. I was able to to move and stand up after the care. I too was able to sleep. From the amazing physical therapists, athletic trainers, equipment, to the workout space itself, this location has everything and they provide the highest quality of care. Jeanine is a very very very experienced physical therapist and is extremely knowledgeable and has been helping me tremendously with my lower body and back problems! She truly has your best interests at heart and is excellent at communicating with her patients. I have had a few visits with another pt at this location, Tyler, who is amazing as well! Jennifer and Ben, the athletic trainers at this location, are super knowledgeable and are really good at teaching proper form for a wide range of exercises and movements. The staff is very professional and super positive! If you are having ANY issues or are seeking physical therapy for the first time, I would not hesitate in booking an initial appointment here. The initial appointment and assessment can be up to an hour long. On a regular appointment, you usually spend the first 30min with your physical therapist, and the second half of your appointment with the athletic trainers who run you thru different exercises using a wide range of equipment. Over the past four years I have had recurring knee problems as part of old age and being rather…read moreportly. My knee surgeon recommended Duncan and his team in Aldie. Their location is convenient and the team is super nice. The patients are really neat, too. As an avid skier I met another skier rehabbing and he was able to provide some information on knee/ankle friendly slopes in Montana. Rachel has been absolutely fantastic to work with over the years, twice post-surgical and once pre-surgical. She encourages me to exercise and improve, showing small tricks to squeak out the last little bit of flexibility. Every degree of movement gets me closer to "normal" and it does take hard work to get there. Also, I don't know much about my musculoskeletal systems and she is happy to answer questions. Like all PT locations they are busy in the AM and may have multiple patients and balance the session between exercise, PT manual manipulation, and stim therapy. I believe all their therapists have their Doctorate in Physical Therapy. While recovery is painful, she finishes off with ice and stim which really helps with the post-PT pain since I try to avoid pain medications. There have been 1 or 2 times that I declined because of work or a meeting but can say that the ice coupled with the stim really makes a difference. My previous PT at Inova and at Herndon Family Medicine did not couple the ice with the stim.
