Overall, we were here for a week as he was able to meet his OT and PT goals and would definitely recommend this place to anyone. The food is tasty (especially the crab soup and the chicken tenders) and come with some tasty sides and desserts. All the therapist that we met and the reception ladies were helpful and always answered questioned with a smile. They have all types of environments to get your loved ones back to some form of independence including a working kitchen with laundry, bedroom and bathroom and even half a car to work on getting in and out of one. There is even a courtyard in the middle of the building that is open until 10pm at night that has lights around the gazebo and other lighted décor around the bushes that looks really nice. The rooms are a nice size and each one contains a chair and a private bathroom with shower. As someone who stayed with my spouse during his stay this was a nice added addition as I no longer had to take take baths out of the sink like at the hospital. Upon discharge the book that is on your bedside table in the room is given to you (recommend reading ahead of time) and they will give you all your discharge paperwork and copies of medication and when to take them to put in the tab selections for your information. Your last day of PT and OT the therapist will also give you items to continue to work on at home and will be placed in their designated area. The area around the rehab center also has a lot of convenient places like pharmacy, food, convivence stores, restaurants, and Walmart. My recommendations: I would recommend if able to eat your meals in the dinning room as you have a greater selection of options instead of in your room. Also the day nurses seem to be more on top of medication and additional request so that is why I subtracted one star.

I went to the recovery room after the surgery woke up in pain and the staff provided pain meds. Shortly ZI was brought up to my room. The day nurse started the process for my blood infusion. They did not do the same verification process that was done for earlier transfusions. The nurse did not stay in the room to check for any potential reaction. Layer she came in and said it was done snd disconnected it. At shift changeover an hour later, the night nurse noticed the blood bag was not completed. The night nurse confronted the day nurse about it. (in front of me) The night nurse decided to reconnect the blood to my IV. no alcohol swab was noticed bring used on the connections snd I was not sure if the blood bag had been hanging there for an hour if it was still OK. I was not consulted or asked. I clearly see the lack of effective communication between doctors, nurses, technicians, staff and the patients. There is a dry erase board in the room to ensure important info is passed and noted. NOT BEING USED. It is not kept up to date with progress, plans or goals. Even the doctors names are wrong. It appears that the patient is not included in the process and communication between the staff does not happen. No one has the complete picture of the planned care, for now or future. They need help with cross communication and statistical documenting patient progress. The care is good, but the patient has to be involved to make sure there is s complete picture. If you come here (Stone Springs Hospital) for services, you must stay engaged for your own good!!!

It's a much smaller center than Ashburn but much of the same equipment. Lots of PT demand clearly in the center. I was able to complete my back exercises but it was in a smaller area. Fortunately, we had a room normally used for evaluations so wasn't as congested. Easy parking and right behind the CVS. It's a longer ride but close to my nieces' house (for now) and so I used the drive to drop off some packing boxes. Jessica is a really good therapist specifically recommended by one of the best pain management Doctors so I would go again if that was the lonely appointment time available. The Ashburn center is much more convenient to Ashburn/Sterling folks.

Tomorrow I'm having the dry needling and I'm confident in that experience as they are all very caring and I love visiting with them all during my appointment. Convenient and the staff is great. Recommend it to anyone that needs help. The office and PT area is nice and comfortable.

BLUF: The feel of this place seems best matched with athletic training & injury recovery more than…read morea clinical rehab setting. You'll probably be working with PTAs rather than DPTs or MPTs yet paying the very high rates set for licensed PTs. So, this is a model made for the benefit of the owners and not clients or patients. It may be efficient for the owners but not cost-efficient or as effective for patrons. For a fairly new facility, equipment already looks really worn & so do the treatment rooms. Highly professional environment is not how I'd describe it. Evaluation wasn't as comprehensive as I'd hoped. They charge for absolutely everything they can to increase your bill so they can charge insurance. And the rates are so high! What the insurance company doesn't pay will leave patrons with a pretty hefty bill. On top of that, never received an actual write-up of the evaluation and never could get a formal home program no matter how many times it was requested. What the heck?!? That felt like they just wanted to keep a person coming back and not practice outside of therapy to improve more quickly. That seems to go against getting off the caseload as quickly as possible for significant improvement and instead encouraging more frequent in-house sessions so you can be billed massively for each one. Kinda counter to any type of ethical therapy practice of any kind. They're not cheap. I'm happy to pay for consistent high quality services if one gets what they pay for. Can't say that's what I got here with any certainty. If one is working only with PTAs, then charges should reflect that lower level of expertise & training. If one is working directly with a licensed PT, charges should appropriately reflect that level of expertise. Length of sessions always fluctuated (always in the direction of shorter sessions) yet billing remained the same for each visit & in some cases charges tacked on for procedures not rendered. That's an example of their inconsistency. Worth the drive? Ummm...So, if you choose Chiron, manage your expectations. For elite athletes (elite as in you can afford the high rates) looking to recover & get your mojo back, then this may be the place for you. Definitely felt like money was a huge incentive here. For patients needing quality & compassionate clinical PT care, I'd suggest finding a practitioner and setting more geared toward providing that type of expertise & level of care.

I visited this physical therapy clinic after being referred by my podiatrist on the New Year's Eve,…read moreand my experience was extremely disappointing and unsafe. As part of my treatment, I received dry needling. While the physical therapist didn't even bother to tell his name or walk me through the process, he was quick to make me sign a piece of paper so they could charge me money for dry needling. Not only did they immediately charge an additional $55 for the dry needling--on top of the regular visit fee and my co‑pay--but the lack of sanitation and customer service was alarming. Shortly after the appointment, I developed a serious bacterial infection directly at the treatment site. This resulted in two emergency room visits at Reston Hospital, lots of tests (lab, ultrasound, x-ray, CT scan) and I was told I was at risk of losing my limb. No patient should ever have to go through something like this. The clinic's poor cleanliness, unsanitary practices, and unclean treatment tables are unacceptable. I'm sharing my experience so others are aware and can make informed decisions about their care. What happened to me was frightening, preventable, and should never occur in a healthcare setting. I am sharing this so everyone can be aware of the lack of carelessness and cleanliness of this clinic.
