This is a great spot of a group or party! The restaurant is large yet it feels like each party has their own private space. I highly recommend getting a combo set and adding in any extra dishes or meats you'd like. They had a good variety of side dishes with free refills. The bell to notify a server was helpful to change out the grills when needed.

We haven't been back here in a few years but remembered that they had tasty food. Overall service was great, food delicious and the portions were big. They have a simple interior and very causal ambiance. All their servers were super helpful, attentive and very quick to serve. We had a great experience and will definitely come back again when we se craving Korean BBQ

Stopped by here last minute a while ago after plans at a other restaurant fell through. We were very hungry and craving a good KBBQ meal. We grabbed one of the large meat combos along with an order of fried chicken. The KBBQ was more or less what you would hope for from a good KBBQ restaurant. The meats were good and tasty after being cooked and the sides were good as well. The fried chicken I enjoyed a fair amount. It wasn't overly crispy but like just right. We could have ordered another one of those. Two thumbs up to Insadong. The food was delicious, and the service was great. Very appreciative of how often the staff came by to check up on us and provide refills.

Really good! The restaurant is nice a spacious. Food was pretty good (not super wowing but really hit the spot). Service was also good! The restaurant uses a call button system. Other locations that use a similar system can sometimes be really slow but service here was fast and friendly! We got the combo B family of 4 meal and it was great for 4 adults

The food here is super consistently good. I love bring friends and family here because then we can just offer one of their 2, 4, or 6 person set menu. Unlimited side dishes, and they swapped out our grill plate quite often so it wouldn't keep burning. If you have 6 people or more, you can make a reservation. Smaller parties will have to walk in!

Korean BBQ near Lougheed Town Centre skytrain station. Restaurant has a weird layout. The main space is down the stairs, but they also have seating in rooms up the stairs and at the entrance level.. Super busy on a weeknight. They only take reservations for parties of 6 or more. We only had 4 people so had to wait an hour. Ended up getting some appetizers from a different place in the vicinity before coming back. Got the Insadong combo platter, and also added beef tongue and the really fatty beef. The combo included seafood tofu soup and we also got the kimchi soup. The soups are pretty tasty... has the heavy, slightly spicy and acidic flavors to balance all of the fat and oil from the meat. The meat was pretty good too. My favorite were the marinated rib meat, super tender and very flavorful. To be honest I wasn't the biggest fan of the beef tongue which had good flavor but can be a bit chewy, or the super fatty marbled beef, which has zero flavor, but my friends loved those. Came out to $250 for four people so definitely not cheap, but we all had a food coma afterwards.

Overpriced but still good and their service is good! I come here once in a blue moon with my family, they use to serve better and a whole lot more side dishes.

Went hunting for KBBQ and was surprised by this hidden GEM! Appearing small and unassuming from the streets of North Rd, Insadong features a beautiful entry way leading you through a rustic and open interior. We got: - Chicken and Beef Combo for 2 (comes with soybean paste soup, green salad, and 2x rice) $69.99 - Sliced pork belly $23 - Buckwheat Cold Beef Noodle $15 !!!!! 9.5/10 Portions were generous for the price, and everything was tasty! We ordered this for 4 people - two of which have generous appetites - and were astounded at how full we ended up. The only reason for -0.5 points is the service of one of the servers, she seemed less than happy to be there and left before we could finish asking for extra tongs...

Wonderful Korean barbecue restaurant in Coquitlam! As soon as you walk in the restaurant, you're hit by the smell of barbecue. It was awesome. We ordered the Insadong Combo for 4 which comes with choice of soup (we got soft tofu soup) and ordered an additional galbi tang. The soups were great and the meats were fantastically marinated. It was also a lot of food for four people, I can imagine sharing with 5-6 and being pretty full as well. They also came with all of the side dishes which included a delicious marinated cucumber, potatoes, kimchi, and bean sprouts. My favourite was the cucumber side dish. It also included four bowls of rice, with an extra bowl for the extra soup we ordered. Service was good. They have a bell set up for you to ring when you need anything which is pretty cool. There were a few times when we rang it a couple of times before they came to us as they were quite busy. COVID measures: they ask you to show your ID and your vaccine passport, along with sanitizing your hands.

I have always wanted to try this place but never got around to it. We came on a perfect day. It was cold outside so we went for some bbq. We were greeted by friendly staff and was led to our table quickly. We ordered the two person meal with pork, chicken and beef options. This option is perfect for someone who has decision problem like me. The meal comes with either fermented bean paste soup or spicy tofu soup. I thought the fermented bean paste one wouldn't be spicy but I was wrong. If you can't eat spicy, remember to let them know. Our grill plate was changed many times that night. I feel like they come and change our grill plate every time we finish a round of grilling without us asking. The staff were super attentive. I will definitely be coming back for more :)

After a long fun day to Bridal Falls, my girl friend and I decided to have Korean for dinner on our way back to Vancouver. Decided to go by Korea Town (Burquitlam by Lougheed and North Road) as there are tons of Korean restaurants to choose from and we decided on Insadong. We were immediately greeted upon entering and the restaurant felt clean. Though they did not kept every other table closed, due to Covid, there were partitions between the tables and we were asked to sit inside our table area so that there would be enough physical space from the table across from us. After a long day, we were famished so decided to order a 2 person BBQ combo that was for $49.99 including a soup of choice (spicy tofu or soybean), 2 bowls of rice, shared green salad, side dishes, and BBQ grill meats that included marinated beef bulgogi, spicy pork bulgogi, beef steak, and pork jowl. Also ordered an additional dish of seafood pancake, which my girl friend and I love. We asked for the spicy pork bulgogi not to be spicy so they gave us unmarinated pork jowl, which was fine with us. Food arrived quickly, which was great. Servers were friendly and came to check if our grills required replacing, without us having to ring our bell. Salad was nice and fresh and seafood pancake had a nice crunchy top. The BBQ meats were nice but the sliced pork jowl pieces of meat were still frozen and stuck together so it made grilling them a little harder and longer. We choose the soybean soup, because my friend can't handle spicy, and I could not drink the bowl of soup as it was incredibly salty. My friend found it to be both too spicy and salty, even though we asked for no to mild spice. Good portions of food and it was tasty but the incredibly salty soybean soup and the frozen BBQ meat would not make me order the combo again. However, service is good so might be worth a revisit to order something else. Altogether, meal came to be $70 including tax but not tip and we left incredibly full and with the soybean soup virtually untouched.

Had dinner with officemates and our experienced ws very good. The place was very busy but we had a reservation for 8 people and got the enclosed/private room. Staff are friendly and attend to our needs very quick whenever we press the buzzer. We all agreed that everything we've ordered were delicious and very tasty. Highly recommended and definitely will go back here.

A full 4 family chicken and beef combo.

My friend recommended us to come here to enjoy our night before heading off to Brentwood mall. Quick service good quality meat, just a tad bit expensive for big guys. I would come back again with my friends!

Staff are friendly but understaffed. Once the place filled up they were swamped. Signature steamed seafood pot - definitely on the pricey side, but they don't skimp out. Special mention for the presentation. Plenty of goodies including an entire lobster, half a large octopus (tenticle/arm half), snails, oysters, scallops, prawns, and fish balls among others. Basically everything without fish. Served in a large tray (the ones seen at banquet buffets), and everything cooked in broth. This was enough to probably feed 4-5 adults (assuming average appetites). So pretty. Deep fried squid with fries - honestly this dish was meh. Basically exactly what it sounds like. Squid is tempura style. Nothing special. I'd skip this one. Bossam (pork belly wraps) - served with tofu and spicy kimchi and some vegetable (kelp?) as well. They don't really give enough wraps compared to the pork slices. Decent portion size. My friends and I gobbled this up. This place also serves makgeolli (Korean rice wine) for a very reasonable price. Goes well with the food. Overall my friends and I left happy. Wouldn't mind coming back at some point to try some other dishes. Recommended.

We also ordered their seafood pancake which was perfectly crispy and not too thin or thick. The actual bbq grill itself was the best one I've seen at a Korean restaurant because it was non-stick, temperature controlled really well, and it didn't leave us smelling like the food after dining. The ventilation must've been good here as it wasn't super smoky at all. The best dish was definitely the bean paste soup!
