I just purchased 2 new skateboards for my son and daughter. The staff are amazing, friendly, helpful, supportive, and knowledgeable. They let you stand on the skateboards to get a feel for the board balance, board style (tricks or cruiser), and board weight in your hands (light vs heavy). They also have free stickers. 5/5 rating. I never knew this place sold skateboards until I found them on instagram so I went to check it out. This place reminds me of skate shops the days of old like goodtimes and evolution. Large selection. Cool employees. Good prices (I priced out a complete online and it was the same after tax and shipping). Support your local skate shop! read more

Just got back from the Insanity and it was exactly what I was looking for. After going to Zumies, at La Cantera, I noticed they didnt have any longboard decks instore so I looked up the closest place and Insanity was just 10 mins away. They looked like they had a great selection from what I saw on their website. I had been looking to upgrade my academy vision board or get a new longboard. Im pretty new, only have maybe a dozen or so hours experience. I was hoping for some help navigating all the different types of decks and I let the two associates or board clerks know what type of riding I was interested in. Long story short, staff was very friendly, answered all my dozens of questions, showed me all the boards, brought demo boards to me without me even asking. It was great, and they gave my daughter a couple stickers. She really liked that. read more

A brick wall would have been more helpful than the employee that spoke to me. I went into the shop trying to gain some knowledge about skateboards and possibly buy one if they had something that caught my eye. I got the exact opposite of what I was expecting to get. Terrible customer service. I asked the guy working if he had any recommendations on what to get or how to set it up and he simply gave me an open ended response along the line of "look around", while he sat on the couch and watched TV. They definitely lost any future business of mine read more

I just wanted to write a note and thank you guys for being awesome. I am 37 and getting back into skating after not riding for a few years. I bought a set up from one of the bigger online shops and had a pretty crappy experience with the whole deal. Parts were missing from my order and it took a full week for them to correct the error on their part. I finally get the board together and find out that the trucks I ordered have SUPER soft bushings in them. I call a shop in town I had seen completes in while shopping for shoes (fast forward) and they referred me to you guys. I was so surprised to see a longboard shop in San Antonio! I drove over there kind of worried that it would be a heavy bro hang out with shop snobbery in full effect and I was pleasantly wrong. Josh asked what brought me in and listened to what i was looking for. We went back and forth.. both of us unsure if I was going to be satisfied with his suggestions.. "I wish you had your board here so I could see what youre working with". I ran out the door to go get it from my trunk. He had me stand on my deck, gave me a new batch of suggestions and ideas. He dealt with all of my questions (both vague and extremely specific) and had great answers and suggestions for all of my randomness. He put the bushings I felt like i wanted to try on my board and had me stand on it again.. It was perfect.He actually asked to see how it felt for himself. I walked in expecting to spend 10 or 15 bucks and ended up buying two sets of bushings and one of the insanity t shirts (around $40) I walked out feeling slightly embarrassed I had spent the money online and had such a bad experience and didnt know that I could have helped support you guys. Josh was awesome.. I dont know if he works there regularly or was just helping out but he helped win you guys a new customer on saturday.. I worked retail for over 10 years and I have been in customer service jobs for most of my working life.. I told my coworker today that I had "one of the best retail experiences ever on saturday" and that says a lot.. Thank you for all that you do! read more

I had a nice chat with co-owner Paul and he educated me on the quality of my recent craigslist longboard purchase in addition to ringing me up on a skateboard multi tool. I appreciated the education as he was very patient with me. He really knows his stuff and I plan to return to buy more and better stuff. I really liked all his inventory and you can buy a complete skateboard or have one built from scratch. They have clothing to buy, helmets, stickers for representing your love of skateboarding and much more. I wish I'd taken up skateboarding much sooner but I was listening to others more than listening to myself. Lesson learned for me and it's never too late to begin something new. This place is great! Who did I see? A shop co-owner, a patron on their couch and me, a small business owner. Skateboarding is super fun and this place can get you set up proper. As soon as we walked in into the bike area, we were greeted right away by Henry. Henry was just a great guy. Super nice, really knowledgeable and helpful. He even helped me tie them down in my truck without even asking. Great customer service! Now we did go right when they opened on a Sunday, so it was not busy. I recommend doing the same if you want to get the same attention and help I got. I'm sure they still give good customer service either way but I can't verify that myself. They had everything we needed to start our biking journey. The only negative thing I will say, the helmets were super expensive. They had many colors and options but I didn't want to spend $100+ on a helmet that seemed to be the same quality/materials as any standard helmet. Wish they had other cheaper options for helmets. Also the glove selection was not the greatest. Given that everything else that was so great, these two small complaints aren't too big of a deal. If your looking to get into biking, come here! You won't regret it.

Another 10 minutes go by and sales rep #2 asks if I've been helped. Advised him on the status. He called sales rep #1 to check status. Sales rep #2 said they don't have the shoe. Sales rep #1 never once followed up with me after the initial contact. By this time I was so disappointed and frustrated with the terrible service that I left the store without new hiking shoes!! The stores had everything but I loved the amount of talavera pottery to choose from and stocked up as much as my suitcase would allow. Prices are super reasonable as well considering these are handmade artisan pieces. I use my tazas everyday and they are the best coffee cups I have ever had. My machine is older and has many many hours of sewing on it as I have a small sewing business and I make four or five quilts a year. It's a drive for us almost 4 hours each way. But I wouldn't let anyone else touch my machine.

I was looking to get my two kiddos a beginner board. I searched around San Antonio and stumbled upon website for Insanity Boardshop. Great website and customer service made the process super easy to select great boards for my kiddos's size and skill level. They assembled all the hardware for me and the boards were ready for pick-up the same day!! When I picked up the boards I was surprised by their genuine excitement of my kids' interest in skating and recommended we check out some of their instructional videos on YouTube.
