They were a pleasure to deal with. Their business office and their store have different hours and locations. And their store is divided up into a pharmacy counter and a medical supply counter. They were extremely helpful by phone, taking time to verify that they had exactly what we needed in stock. They did. And when we arrived, we found the store to be clean and organized, and they already had the item we needed waiting for us behind the counter. We also considered renting a wheelchaor or walker for Dad while we were there. They had monthly and daily rental options with reasonable prices and a large selection. WASTE OF TIME! They called and I had a difficult time getting out there with my dad and we show up within a month and they said it was too long and the insurance is closed and they couldn't us. I was referred to this establishment by my insurance company. I stopped in to see if they had the product I needed in stock. As I was waiting for an answer, I walked around the store. The prices there are absolutely ridiculous. 8.99 for a tube of toothpaste, 72.00 for a compression sleeve with "a small hole" in it. Small bottle of bactin 12.99. Nicorete lozenges 30 for 65.00. The sad part of all of this is that they have a captive audience, if you need medical supplies, they are right by all of the major hospitals. Think patients that are wheelchair bound, stroke patient, quadriplegics. Most of these patients are on fixed incomes, and this establishment is preying on this vulnerable population. read more

He saw a frazzled mom with a hobbling child (after school party incident) and he totally took care of us. He k ew I knew where the braces were, but he helped us. Needed small part for mobility scooter (a screw). Made call to company to order it, then quiet huddle before telling me it would come in two days. Then BAM: Charged me $11 for it. I am from Pleasanton, Texas and I go to Champs Medical Supplies store on Louis Pasteur in San Antonio, Texas. This is the store I always go to since I am very familiar with the products that I need for my husband. Well, I made like a mad dash after work to get there on Friday Sept 8 before 5:30pm to purchase a lift chair for my husband. La-Z-Boy store is wonderful but not great for my budget. I learned so much from Vanessa who helped me to look into a medium up to a large chair by weight and height and she was so helpful and got answers for me in a timely manner. Than I "finally" met Mari whom I have spoken to over the phone in the course of a year. So glad to meet her. Than when all was done getting ready to purchase the chair that I have chosen for my husband I meet Felicia. These three ladies helped me at such a time that I was crunching for time to hurry to get back to my husband and they needed to get home themselves. They helped me understand what kind of chair they had, how much the chair cost including a promotional discount for the week, the delivery fee and they will wait for the prescription to be sent to them from a doctor before a particular date. Great store, inventory is huge for all my medical needs. I bought a portable oxygen concentrator from Maribel (Mari) and she was GREAT! For medical equipment talk to her, she'll treat you like family. Very professional and courteous and knowledgeable of your needs, now and in the future. One side note, young guy in medical equipment wouldn't let my handicap wife use the bathroom, he said no public restrooms here. I told him I'm a customer dropping $3,000, doesn't that allow her to pee? He let her thank God, if he hadn't the ride home would have been ugly. Wonderful service. The salesman, Davis Stautzenbeger, was extremely knowledgeable and accommodating. There were many options for our needs (such as knee walker, seated walker, scooters) and he understood the ins-and-outs of all of them and helped us pick the product that best met our needs, which happened to be a seated walker. Then he spend a good deal of time making sure we understood how to fold, unfold and adjust it. He was very patient, as he had to explain some things more than once. Then we discussed payment options, such as rental or purchase and the relative advantages and disadvantages of both. If you go to Champs, I'd ask for David Stautzenberger by name. read more

Do not go get equipment here. They rather not smile, not help you and be on the cellphone. The pharmacy side for drugs is wonderful, friendly, greet you, happy to help you. Katrina in the equipment side looks asleep, rolls her eyes, can't give you any information on your order, and never smiles. Unlike prior reviewers, we found David to be great help. Both he and his associates were very patient and helpful with my 89 year old uncle who needed help with the brakes on his walker. Additionally, even though they will not benefit from the sale (via Medicare) David spent a good deal of time showing us the power scooters, and the pros and cons of each. My daughter needed a lift chair after hip replacement. Her recliner was broken. I spoke with two different salespeople. Felicity took picture of the chairs in stock and texted me immediately. It could have been delivered same day if I had called earlier, but it came the next before noon. The delivery men were super helpful and efficient. They take VISA. Felicity checked with me the next day after delivery to make sure everything went well and we were pleased. I also appreciated them mentioning it would be good to ask for a prescription as it saves on the tax. I would give them 10 stars if possible. read more

They will have a report for the next three years on the Better Business Bureau website that they chose not to respond. Went to champs for a tray for my husband Walker. Found one . This was March the 2nd 2018 took it back Monday the 5 of March. My cost was $49 plus tax. They charged me 20 percent for restocking. Despite the fact that the scooter was not purchased from Champs Medical, I was given superior customer service by Mari, Felicia and Miguel. They went out of their ways to recommend what was needed to restore the scooter to its original functionality. I found these young people to be knowledgeable, helpful and professional. Terrible customer service. Called before I drove across town to purchase an item. Said it was in stock. Got over there and asked again if this was the correct item. They said yes. Got home to use and it was NOT the correct item. Called this morning and DME side played dumb and the pharmacist copped an attitude. Said that's what we have in stock..... I was willing to ORDER the specific item. I hate that DME's assume that one item fits all disabilities and sells items thinking that close to what you want is the same as actually selling exactly you asked for. read more
