We are renting a house... hashtag military life. Our land lords are great and were on top of our repairs and filled us in along the way with any information Ryan and his team gave out. We had a leak in our kitchen and Ryan and his team were as speedy as they can be giving COVID times and all that has come due to it. Waiting for cabinets and other items were a task I am sure, but they did everything they could to make sure we were comfortable in our home while the work was being done. Everyone Ryan contracted out for work were great. They were respectful of our home and did a good job. Ryan's team were polite and helpful during the entire process. They were also very clean. Juan who did painting in the home was very kind and engaged in conversation here and there. I joked that he pretty much became family. Ryan and his crew were wonderful. We had a major leak from our dishwasher and it damaged our hardwood floor in the kitchen. Inside drying took care of everything. We had significant water damage in our home due to a broken water lead, which we discovered around 11:00 pm upon returning home from an evening out. We called our State Farm agent, who was new to the area, so she recommended a national water mitigation firm the company often uses. We called them and they refused to come out until mid-morning the following day, leaving us with a mess and soaked flooring and walls. Our agent then reached out to three other local State Farm agents for recommendations. They uniformly recommended Inside Drying and Restoration of Yorktown, VA. I called and spoke to Mr. Ryan McDougal, a soft spoken, comforting, and understanding young man. Ryan promised to have a clean up crew at our home within the hour. Earlier than anticipated the crew arrived and took over, cleaning up, removing water, protecting everything that was affected, and continued working until around 4:00 am. Ryan and his crew were in and out of our house for the next two weeks, diligently assessing moisture levels, removing damaged drywall, baseboards, carpet, and eventually a portion of hardwood floor. Mr. McDougal kept us apprised of all of his assessments and made recommendations as we progressed. Once the water mitigation was complete, we needed restoration. Initially, we were hesitant to use a mitigation company for restoration, but Ryan had been so diligent, professional, flexible, and understanding, that we 'gambled' with a company we had no previous knowledge of. Ryan's estimate of cost matched closely State Farm's and we had such a positive experience so far, so we went forward. We received better service from Ryan and his family-owned business than any contractor we have worked with in our nearly 50 years of marriage, across the several states we have resided in. Ryan and his crew were reliable, diligent, highly respectful, professional, and had excellent follow through and follow up. Ryan's company replaced hardwood flooring and drywall, made plumbing repairs and minor electric work, refinished an entire floor of hardwood (about 2400 sq feet), cleaned rugs and carpets, replaced baseboards and shoe moldings, and did an assortment of other jobs to satisfy his customers. Everyone did their respective jobs excellently, with no conflicts, disappointments, or misunderstandings - he worked amazingly well with our insurance company. We live in an upscale neighborhood in Williamsburg and Ryan's work exceeded anything we were used to seeing from contractors who service our area. We would recommend Inside Drying and Restoration to anyone and we are especially appreciative of the care and diligence that Ryan McDougal uses to guide his employees and interact with his customers. I received word, from our babysitter, immediately after leaving my fathers funeral that we had had a water line burst, located above our laundry room area. When we arrived home it was way worse than anticipated. We immediately called our insurance company who gave us several referral for drying companies. We called Insude drying and restoration, who by the way, answered the phone, when the other companies only had answering services or voicemail. I spoke directly to owner, Ryan McDougal, who showed genuine concern and prioritized our circumstance and was at our home in about an hour or less.
