We had a water leak in the bathroom, and we learned the bathroom would need to be gutted(excluding the vanity) as a result of a water leak. Mike O'Donnell said the job should take 3 or 4 days, but a week at the most. We have renters in the home, so it was important to get fixed as soon as possible. Mike O'Donnell took half the insurance money up front as a deposit. Mike O'Donnell had a team come and tear out our entire bathroom - shower/tub, toilet, tile floor. 2 weeks later we call Mike O'Donnell to see where we are in the process. Mike O'Donnell didn't even remember the project, and we had to remind him it was not completed! 3 weeks later, Mike O'Donnell says he can not get a plumber to come out, and so he will have to pull out of completing the project. He already has 1/2 the insurance money. Mike O'Donnell pulled a fast one on us - Do NOT use PURO-Clean Williamsburg.

The initial cleanup team did a good job drying out our crawlspace--especially Lester. However, once the repair phase began under owner Gani Berisha, the experience deteriorated quickly. Communication was poor from the start. After the drying process, we waited weeks with little to no updates. When Gani finally visited, he seemed unfamiliar with the project and focused mainly on upselling upgrades because insurance was paying, even suggesting LVP flooring despite our home having hardwood. Once repairs began, communication continued to be difficult. We had to repeatedly request updates, which were often ignored or met with frustration. While we were staying in an Airbnb, we were suddenly given one hour to choose between two floor stain options--neither matching our original floors--and had received no prior notice that a decision was needed that day. When I called to ask about additional options or samples, Gani became irate and dismissive. Eventually, the subcontracted flooring company provided several proper stain samples, which resolved the issue. Throughout the project, the work felt rushed and we had to repeatedly point out problems that needed fixing. The project also ran later than promised. When we finally moved back into our home, we discovered several issues: one of our lamps had been broken, paint was on our Dyson vacuum, and one of the bathrooms had been left in extremely unsanitary condition. When we raised this with Gani, he told us he would submit another claim to our insurance company so we could receive a check to cover the damaged items, rather than his company reimbursing us directly. Overall, this was one of the worst contractor experiences we've had. Based on the poor communication, lack of professionalism, and how issues were handled, we would not recommend working with this company.

When searching for that, we came across Mr. Rooter of Williamsburg's Water Leak Detection Services page and gave them a call. We explained what we needed from them over the phone and set up an appointment. When they arrived, I was told they don't do leak detection. They left shortly after acting like I was crazy for 1) knowing it was a slab leak (confirmed by a different plumber) and 2) for thinking they'd do what their website had listed. After they left, I received an estimate for them to re-pipe the whole house, something I didn't ask for. Thankfully, they didn't charge us for the visit.

My husband spent the evening messing with it only to find out that the technician left the drain plug in so water kept flowing back into the dishwasher. Update Hadn't received my emailed receipt. Texted the number late last night (7/10/2026) and was then sent the receipt. I had been advised by the technician that the labor would $333 for a customer supplied disposer. The invoice shows a $234 for "Install Customer Supplied Disposer." Yes, it was a signed invoice from a tablet. The technician had me to sign without reviewing the invoice. I trusted that the install was $333 as he had said. Additionally After removing the drain plug that the technician left in and running the dishwasher, it backed up again twice and proceeded to not function. Texted the number again last night regarding the plug being left in and the dishwasher causing water to build up in the bottom of the dishwasher. And now, the dishwasher is not functioning after removing the plug. Scheduled a technician to come out today.
