Usually we just went with who was available the quickest. We are now retired and bought a house 5 months ago. We wanted to start the "find a cleaner" process. I did some research and stumbled upon, Paragon Cleaning. The first thing that stood out was the communication. They always responded, they were patient as well. I can be hard to get a hold of due to working in a school with no service unless my phone sits against the window. They were so patient as I was trying to set the process up. Then the day comes to finalize the set up and set the date and make the deposit. During all that I was on the train for a day trip to NYC. Seriously I was just horrible for communication on my end. I hated that for them. But, they handled it very professionally and were patient. The second thing that stood out was they were established. I think 5-6 years at this point. The last thing of many that stood out was the look of their website. It's very detailed oriented. A few days before my cleaning I was getting texts and emails to remind me. The day comes and I get a text letting me know the crew was on their way. I had no idea what to expect. The house was all theirs. Im thinking 1-2 people will come. Nope! There were 4 people who came. Josh, Ashley, Sunshine and Holly, were a great team. They all had their areas they tended too. I popped in a few times here and there on security cameras we have through the inside and outside of the home. Everything was going well! Impressed! They all kept moving. Very minimal breaks. At one point Josh pointed out the curtains to be fixed to his coworker. She handled that well and fixed it right away and thanked him for noticing it and telling her. It was so nice to see. Overall the special touches throughout were nice from toilet paper being creased to my pillows on my bed being arranged. I really felt like they all cared so much and it just was not another house to clean for the day. The shower door is spotless! The kitchen was very well done as well. My floors were mopped and that was a big improvement. One last thing to mention is the communication during the cleaning. Our toilet was leaking, somehow. So they took the liberty to shutting the water off to stop the leak until so came. I'm so thankful they caught that, communicated it to me, and sent photos! Awesome! I knew they left when I had a text they were done. They worked 8:30-12:45pm. Perfect for 4 people. Overall everything went well. I've hired them for monthly cleanings!

BEWARE: We hired Johnston's for a chimney inspection and cleaning, we were told by our technician…read morethat we had glazed (Stage 3) creosote buildup -- but were advised to simply keep using the fireplace and burn hot fires to reduce it. After research and hiring a CSIA certified company, we learned this advice is directly contrary to established safety guidance. Stage 3 creosote is highly flammable and requires chemical treatment or professional removal before a fireplace can be safely used again. The Chimney Safety Institute of America is explicit on this point. Following Johnston's guidance in our report could have caused a chimney fire. We requested a refund given that the inspection included advice that put our home and family at risk, they refuse to acknowledge their fault. We did not feel we received an accurate or professional service. We will be sure to look for that CSIA certification going forward, there are plenty of family owned-- in business for decades, chimney companies in our area that can be relied on to give safe and accurate advice.

There was almost no mess to clean up inside. The final product looks fantastic. Tim asked me to send pictures of my shower door assembly to remove. I sent the pictures to him. In a couple of days he sent me an estimate by Email of his price to do the job. I was satisfied and had him book me. In a couple days he showed up as promised, went into the garage to check the doors for proper fit. He was satisfied and began the project. He finished the job in one day, to include the clean up. He had worked professionally. Holding an occasional conversation with Tim he answered my questions knowledgeable and showed courtesy to me. Tim.tan into a problem. Lowe's had ordered a door which did open on one side. That was the way this one was. I thought I had to order another one. Tim told me he would try to adapt it to open only proper side. He did indeed to exchange opening side. If he hadn't accomplished to do this, I would have to order. another door. Ok so I first started messaging with the owner to schedule a carpet cleaning, but then was told by my mgt company that we only needed to clean the house. I updated my request and she (the owner) was simply wonderful! We were able to communicate clearly and quickly even though she was having an emergency. The cleaning she did was incredibly thorough and in a very reasonable time. I appreciate her experience that allowed us to get our deposit back upon move out. For this they offered a 10% discount. So I got $12.00 off, but it cost me $250+ in time off at work. I rescheduled for the next available date, but by that point, the electricity was turned off. This meant that the crew could not vacuum. I had to hire another company for the carpet. I could hardly tell that the crew "cleaned." They sent pictures after they were "done." (See below) I was at work so I could not be there to approve. But the pictures clearly show a the job was half done. They "finished" the job only when I held up payment. My landlord didn't believe that I hired a cleaning crew. So I don't get my deposit back yet. The counters were gritty. There were cobwebs in the ceiling-corners. They did not clean the blinds, as agreed upon.
