The receptionists were not wearing their masks properly. And even after I asked about it she put the mask so loose on her face it was effectively useless and the other receptionist had it hanging and then put it under her nose. I also don't feel completely 100% on the prescription I was given. To be honest I think the optometrist relied a lot on the computer. I won't be going back. read more

Very disappointed. I saw Dr. Stringfield who i thought was thorough, however, my college age son saw Dr. Williams and was completely disappointed. He was very rushed and didn't take the time to answer my sons questions. When we complained at checkout, a billing person went to the back to discuss it and came out with a box of contacts and said try these at home. Said our time was up and he'd moved on to the next patient. -They are an in-network facility for me and I ended paying well above my benefits. -They only have two designated parking spaces and both have been full each time I had a visit. -they did not clean the equipment before my use. I was referred to Dr. Bank by my ophthalmologist. As I am difficult to fit and need prose/sclera lenses. I was leery of going to a local optometrist. I had been going to the Baylor eye center in Houston and was led to believe they were the only ones that could fit me. I was pleasantly surprised by the time and care Dr. Bank provided to fit me. His services were far superior to what I had been experiencing. I have recently gone back for my yearly exam and received the same excellent care. In addition his office took care of my insurance and I paid a $25 co-pay for very expensive contacts. That being said it is hard for me to believe some of the negative reviews I have read. My family will be changing providers due to the fact that Insight has overcharged me for my kids' exams, contacts, etc for a while now. I suspected that they might not be using my vision insurance properly and that was the case. When I called to discuss, Kathy said that they always ask the patient if they have current insurance information. Really - you think a teenager knows this? So they used a "savings" plan which ignored my copays and charged me 20% off retail - way more than I should have paid. They will be losing two patients over $82 because "corporate" says they can't adjust the charge for a past visit. Terrible way to treat a long-time customer. read more

I was a patient of Dr Williams, however after 2 unprofessional experiences with the front desk staff, I made an appointment elsewhere. The person answering the phone is the first impression someone has of an office, when that person is rude, impatient and fails to listen, she causes the business to lose clientele. I have been a patient of Dr. Stringfield for 3 to 4 years as I have a unique cornea condition. She is an exceptional doctor and person and despite having mixed experiences with the front staff I have continued to be a patient. But unfortunately, I now have to begin searching for a new provider after my experience yesterday. I was charged $250 for a just soft contact lens fitting for my teenage daughter. After obtaining the receipt and calling several other offices, I learned that the going rate for that fitting in Dallas ranges from $80 to $100. One office person said they had to go back and share what they had just learned with their back office. As a loyal patient, I feel embarrassed and taken advantage of. I was lead to believe the cause of this high charge was due of my lack of available vision benefits, but I now know that is secondary to the extremally high charge for the actual fitting. read more

I walked in and wanted to check if I could get a eye exam. The first girl looked at me like "what is wrong with you?" I don't have my insurance card but it used to be Block. I believe they have changed names anyway we can look it up?"..... She said "Cindy can you pull up the website?" Before Cindy answers she says "I'm sorry the website is down" then Cindy says "no I got it to pull up".... at this point I should have left bc I'm getting talked to like I'm bothering them by asking to get an eye exam She responds "uh.... doesn't matter about the website we only take these 3 insurances"..... "Oh ok well if you don't take insurance what is the out of pocket?"..... I said "Uh .... well if you think yours is Superior Eye we don't take that..." (kinda like bless your heart I know it's Highland Park ISD insurance but yea we only can work with a select few"..... Bottom line the front staff was not helpful border line rude didn't say anything as far as solution like "you can pay and get reimbursed"..... nothing just like sorry Cool. Was very disappointed with my contact lens appointment. After making the appointment with my doctor getting fitted for lenses, also getting fitted and examined for glasses, no one ever ordered my contacts. I arrived to pick up my glasses from the capable optometrist but when I asked about contacts they shrugged and blamed that my insurance had lapsed over the holiday. I called to confirm my insurance that was very much in effect, and called back. Not to order contacts but merely to obtain my prescription so I can take it somewhere else. No sense in allowing further chance for mishap. read more

A few weeks ago, I developed the sensation of something lodged in my left eye. Over the course of two days, it become increasingly painful and difficult to open my eye. Unfortunately, this happened during the week of an unprecedented snowstorm. I called several Ophthalmologists and Optometrists to no avail as everyone was closed due to the inclement weather. On about my tenth phone call, I reached Dr. Ivan Bank of Insight Complete Eye Care. He asked me several questions about my eye. Then he explained that his office was closed but he could meet me there later in the day for an evaluation. He spent several minutes inspecting my eye and found a piece of plastic lodged into the membrane under the eyelid. Apparently, when opening plastic retail cases sometimes small fibers can break apart and fly into our eyes. Dr. Bank was able to pull it out and the pain immediately went away. It was a tremendous relief! And I could not believe he was willing to see me despite his office being shut down. Thank you, Dr. Bank, for the extraordinary patient care! read more

Initially had a bad experience but Dr. Banks has gone out of his way to make up for it. If you are looking for an upscale experience give him a shot. Doctors office has all the modern equipment, scans your eyes, goes over all the little stuff. More than a 'can you read this line?' eye doctor. ---- Waited in waiting room for 45 minutes and left. To much competition in Dallas to be able to treat patient's schedules like that. When you make an appointment in advance, show up early to do paperwork, the office should hold up their end of the deal. May not sound like much but I lost an hour and a half of my day and accomplished nothing. Time is money. Don't waste your time, try one of the other thousand optometrists in Dallas. --- Doctor personally called to apologize and reschedule, which means a lot. Will give it another shot. read more

Consummate professional. Dr. Bank's is extremely qualified, patient and is a good listener. He takes a very conservative approach to his treatment plans, which I really appreciate. The wait times can be a little arduous, but that's only because he's taking his time with other patients. I'm comfortable with it. The staff is quite friendly, especially Kente (SP?) and Gary. This is the only place I will get my glasses from now on. I really like their technology which makes for a perfect fit every time. I've been seeing him for over three years and would recommend this office to anyone. read more

As several other people have noted, the equipment is nice, the service is great, but the billing is beyond horrible. Both my wife and I have had exams here. And in each case (twice for her) we received exorbitant bills that included charges already paid by insurance as well as excessive charges for things like contact lens fittings for needing "special" contacts. I wear fairly standard Accuvue dailys. I don't know if their billing is malicious or just incompetent but, after being overbilled by several hundred dollars for the 3rd time out of 3, we are done with this place. read more

Dr. Banks was very professional and competent with fitting me with a sceral contact lens. He is exact and wanted the contact to fit precisely. Without this specialized lens, my vision was very hazy because of scarred cornea. With lens it isn't perfect but I am able to see signs better. read more

Before I met Dr. Bank and his staff I was told I might require a cornea transplant at only 43 years of age. Dr. Bank put me in a set of miraculous contacts, and I haven't seen this well in 15 years. I can see exactly what my children look like! Dr. Bank is one of the most professional, personable, and brilliant doctors I have ever met. His staff comes across just the same. I hope I don't have to go anywhere else ever again. The only bad thing is I can now see how old I'm getting - the wrinkles are now visible on my face in the mirror. read more

I was fitted by Dr. Ivan banks for scleral lens as I have keratoconus and astigmatism. I am ecstatic. I have never been able to see this clearly ever, and they are comfortable. The gas permeable lenses that I wore for years were good for about an hour and then my eyes began hurting and felt dry. My eyes became red almost immediately. (I still refused to wear my glasses, vanity, I'd rather go without with bleary vision.) I am so thankful Dr. Banks was recommended to me. It is totally worth the plane trip to Dallas from Denver to have this great vision! read more

Very bad experience, staff is rude and condescending, they billed my health insurance for a mistake they made with my eyes and then acted as if it was my problem. Nice office but horrible staff no accountability for their actions. I had to call my insurance to stop payment will never return due to their lack of accountability and unwillingness to apologize. Note if a patient mentions you are allergic to preservatives, red 40 and other items why would you place something in their eyes that they are allergic to then bill their insurance when you return from their mistake? It's called reading the intake form I should not have to remind you every 20 seconds what my allergies are and then get a bill for the offices oversight. A total WASTE!!! read more

The high tech exam was refreshingly stress free and easy, and I left with a far better understanding of my vision than I've ever had before. Due to a move, I had to find a Dallas Eye Care Center. I used to go to Clearview in Southlake, who are great. Insight is just as terrific. They have great technology, and Dr. Bank did a nice job explaining all of the test results. Only negative is that I thought the glasses were a little pricey. read more

I had 5 star customer service here. It was great to be able to learn about the health of my eyes and see the 3D images. My only gripe is the high cost a routine eye exam. They have some really cool 3D technology here. The 3D stuff is mandatory if you get an eye exam here and insurance does not cover it, so be prepared to pay for that. With a DIAGNOSIS of DRY EYE, Dr. W. gave me a prescription for Xiidra, the newest anti-inflammatory eye drops which as promised worked faster than the one advertised by an actress on TV. That one was in the first generation of dry eye treatment and is still good but results of lowered inflammation takes longer by weeks as the optomitrist said.A coupon FOR XIIDRA was given for it, which in my case, had been,presented to my medical insurance. The exam was comprehensive and unrushed using the most current equipment I've observed, as compared with with my last doctor visits over 4 years. read more

Very good, very expensive. They are quite high tech compared to any other optometrists that I've seen. That made me feel very confident that if I had eye problems they would be identified. Changing my contact prescription seemed more haphazard this time, so I'm just so-so on whether I'll go back. I used them the year before and didn't remember it like this. The exam portion of the visit was first rate, so I highly recommend them for anyone with a history of eye problems. It's hard to figure out what the costs are. As best I can tell it's about 700 for a new patient for a contacts exam. This time they billed my insurance over $500 for the eye exam, and me $250 for the contact exam. After lots of discounts I ended up with a bill of about $365 to update my contacts prescription from the previous year. read more
