    Bottom line: Poor Service, Poor Job,…read more I'm a big supporter of locally-owned, small businesses, however this company was a huge disappointment. I made a morning appointment so that the countertops could be measured before going to work. That morning no one showed up as scheduled. When I called Becky, at the office, she said that she couldn't find my phone number to inform me that they could not measure my countertops as scheduled, because one of their workers called in sick. That should have been my first clue... But again- I wanted to support local, small business, so I rescheduled... In June 2013, they tore out the existing countertop and in doing so a portion of the side panel on one of the lower cabinets was damaged. I sent a picture to the owners and they informed me to contact Kitchens and More and that Kitchens and More would replace the side panel. That's it no more follow-up, nothing- Kitchens and More had to order a side panel and because they were busy with other jobs could not schedule to fix my cabinet until 7:30am, 1/21/2014. No one showed up at 7:30 -- when I called Kitchens and More, they said they had tried calling me to confirm the appointment, using the phone number provided by Upon the Rock and no one answered. Of course, Upon the Rock gave them the wrong number! Seems strange since I gave Upon the Rock my phone number and email in order to get the estimate for the services... I would never recommend this company.

    OK if your 58 years old and handicapped I suggest you do not go here for any help to purchase…read moreanything. I called this location to check stock and price on some lumber. The guy who answered was very rude and said he would call me back. After an hour I called back and he did not pickup so I left a messages in case he lost my phone number etc. He called back a little while later and told me that he should not have called me back as he was to busy. ( Then why did you call me back ) and he was all stressed and rude and i could not get any of my questions answered so I said ok no problem have a nice day ! I decided to call the Wilmington location as I had dealt with them before and they were top notch guys and very friendly. I got the pricing I needed and stock that should be in the Wendell location I also asked if they take credit cards over the phone as I was sending someone out to pick up what we needed and the card was not in his name. They said no problem at all. So I sent out my friend who again is 58 years old . He has problems speaking due to a medical condition where he can barley catch his breathe ( not from smoking but from damage done to his windpipe from recent a hospital visit ). Also due to is medical conditions and age he sometimes has problems understanding some things and needs a bit of help at times to get through a conversation. So he arrived in Wendell and the guy was of course very rude again but my friend just decided to let it go. They did not have everything we needed so my friend went across the road to another company to see if they had what we needed for the project. When he called me he said that NC Lumber Supply the rude guy told him he cannot take credit cards over the phone ( even though I was told that they do )so I said go back and ask him is that they do not do that or is there system down etc. So while on the phone with my friend I hear the guy yelling at him and then I hear my friend yelling he just jumped out of his chair and is getting ready to attack me physically for asking about the credit cards. I said just get out of there not worth dealing with this guy anymore. So not only was he rude all day he almost physically attacked an old man with numerous medical issues that was just doing me a favor and trying to pick up some lumber for me in his old van. So how disappointed and shameful is this situation. I am shocked with how people act now days. My friend drove over an hour both ways to do me a favor and gets verbally and almost physically abused. The guy said to my friend that he wasted his time. He was their to make a purchase end of story ! he just need help to get the right items and this guy went off on him. So now we have a project with no lumber, a wasted day on a project with a serious a time constraint. I will never ever shop or recommend shopping there again with such a rude undisciplined individual who represents a supposedly professional company. So we wasted gas and wasted time and this person has the nerve to day his time was wasted because he was closed for two weeks. Its a shame that people like him even work with the public as he picks his days when he should be nice and helpful . I wish I can give this a lower rating then a one. Like a negative -5 So I think you should not shop where you disrespect older folks. I am a 66 year old man and I am getting tired how people like this disrespect older people. If he is not happy where he is working maybe he should get a job somewhere else. And to think he just came off being 2 weeks off and the store was closed during that time. Enough said

    Rented a 3600W generator because of power outage from hurricane. Pick up went smoothly and they…read moreshowed us how to operate it. Got it home and it started right up. We plugged in a sump pump and a chest freezer. Everything ran smoothly for an hour or so. Sump was turning on and off, freezer was on. The generator shutdown a little over an hour later. Went out and removed load, restarted. Again started right up and we put the load back on. About 45 mins later, it shut off again. Followed same procedure as before and started it back up, but sounded rough and was sputtering we tried to let it run for a few before adding a load. It died again. Then we couldn't get it to stay on. It would turn over and start then die. Contacted after hour support because the store was closed already. Spoke to several different people and they were going to drive out with another one. Received one final call that said to try and loosen the gas cap, but leave it on. That worked and the generator ran fine until the power came back on. When we returned the generator, the person removing it from the vehicle was very nice and apologetic. When I took the ticket inside to the person there, he took the ticket didn't offer any discount, didn't apologize or anything. Our basement re-flooded in the hour or so it took to get the generator running again. I even said that to the person inside the store. Again, no apology or anything. So we were rented a generator that had a faulty gas cap or clogged vent. On top of that, they did nothing to make up for that fact. Horrible customer service in the store when we returned it. Very disappointed in the experience.

    Reserved a pneumatic nailer to install hardwood floors and called the day prior to confirm its…read moreavailability. They attempted to give me a manual nailer and I refused it--asked for what I reserved. They gave me a pneumatic nailer that ended up having the wrong nails. When I called back to inform of the error, I was instructed to "just go buy some at Lowe's and we will credit you." Since the nailer was not designed for the standard 2" nails, I returned everything after a wasted half day and four attempts to find nails. I was credited for the rental but received no apology or concern. I hope no one else falls prey to their incompetency.
