I was in need of only one 10# bag of tile grout to finish our kitchen. I called USA Floors in Raleigh and spoke with Mathew. He answered the phone fast, was so sweet and helpful and found exactly what I was looking for. It was a bit of a drive for me so I was glad the information he gave me was accurate. I had called so many places.. When I walked in the door, four gentlemen stood up and asked if they could help me. I was very impressed. I was not someone making a $1000 purchase or even a $100 purchase but you would have never know that. They were just as professional toward me nonetheless. One of the WORST flooring companies in the area!! do not use floor leveler. do not caulk around boards they cut to fit floor in, had to have supervisor come out multiple times and job was still never right!!! wrong placement of transition in door, and transitions where not straight. 3 were corrected by supervisor, thrum work around the fireplace horribly done does not lay flat.. The company will tell you that they can get the job done on a certain date... they do not tell you that the trim and transitions are not available... they will come in lay the floor and then waist your time by having to come back for the trim.... read more

So quick and easy! Was able to get my quote, paid the invoice, and by the following morning at 10:45, a crew was here to install carpet for me. Joe was great to work with on the sales side, and Charles did a wonderful job with installation, even going the extra mile to sweep my entire hallway and make sure everything was looking good. Do not use this flooring company. The floor material and laying of primary floors looks good so far. The work was just done so time will tell. BUT, they trashed our house. Paint chipped off walls, gutter downspout dented (from bringing in carpet I assume), urine and feces all over bathroom floors and toilets, guest bathroom toilet left in middle of floor (they were responsible to reinstall), hardwood installed dirty, carpet installed not vacuumed. And, worst of all the quarter molding on our hickory hardwood floors looked like a 5 year old did the work. And, when approached to lodge our complaints, Anthony, the store manager, minimized our complaints, made every excuse in the book and stated that he didn't see a problem with the trim work, continuing to make excuses and blame the previous owners for the trim work quality. What?!In other words, blame for the workmanship was handed off to anyone but USA Flooring. We had to pay someone else $1000 to repair the shoddy work. Toward the end of the conversations Anthony offered to have someone come in and "take a look at" the molding and make any repairs they deemed necessary. After how they treated our home, USA Flooring will never step foot in our home again. read more

I purchased laminate flooring for my downstairs from USA Flooring about 6 yrs ago. I've been pleased with it. I recently bought carpet for my upstairs from them, and this time opted to have them install it. I'm very pleased! From the start, the salesman, Michael was professional yet friendly. He answered all of my many questions patiently and inquired w other salesmen if he didn't know the answer. He emailed me estimates as he said he would, in a timely manner. One was priced wrong, and he quickly corrected it. They let me take home a few trays of carpet swatches. Michael came out to get exact measurements and was efficient in doing so. They negotiated w me a bit, w a coupon I had, and that saved me about $200! The best aspect of my experience w USA Flooring was the installation and carpet choice. The installers arrived on time, were professional, friendly to me, nice to my dog, and worked very hard until the job was done. I left for one hour, and when I returned the installers were still working, making great progress. There was quite a bit of dust and dirt. They cleaned everything up, w a broom and vacuum cleaner, so well! I LOVE the carpet I chose, and it seems to have been laid very nicely. I see almost no seams, and it's pulled tight. The installers left everything in nice condition and moved everything back the way it was after the carpet was down. I highly recommend USA Flooring, a smaller, local (I think) business. I visited the store looking for solid hardwood. She asked me how much I wanted to pay and told her $5.00/sf range. I also told her that I was looking for a lighter color wood. She took me to the back and showed me one that they had in stock which I didn't like. She then told me they didn't have anything in that price range except one oak floor. I was shocked that a store with this large of a selection didn't carry anything in the $5.00 SF range. After that I continued to look around within full view of her and the other associate. Never did she offer further assistance. We were completely ignored for the next 20 minutes that we were in the store. We were the only customers in the store. I found something that I liked and asked the price and she said $4.79. No it wasn't solid hardwood. It was engineered wood but last I checked 4.79 is in the 5.00 range. As a sales person I would expect her to offer options like LVP or engineered instead of just ignoring me. $5.00 RANGE means I can go a little higher if you would just show me something. At this point, I can see that my business is not wanted so we leave the store. We are the only people in the store and have to walk past the cash register to leave. No good bye. No thanks for stopping by. Nothing. Oh and wear a mask when customers are in the store please! read more

I may be a little hard on retail sales people having been in retail sales for years., but Paul at this location is by far the worst customer service person I have ever dealt with. His word means nothing, he has a very indifferent attitude, and he will out and out lie to you. It's not the time it is taking to get the flooring that was prepaid in December, it's the constant follow up and his refusal to keep me informed. Paul has told my wife on 3 separate occasions that the flooring would be ordered that day and This past Friday after she called he finally ordered it. I only know that because another salesman told me this morning because Paul never called my wife back. This morning Paul called to tell me that Mohawk has discontinued the flooring that he said was very popular and in stock when we ordered it. Back to square one I guess but hopefully with a real flooring company!! read more

First off I will not name the name of the associate that helped me pick the perfect carpet because she was actually very helpful during the process but I will say that management at this establishment is less than professional and the manager Anthony should be fired ASAP. 1. I called to schedule installation and pay up front which I DO NOT recommend doing. Get the job done and then pay. The employees arrived at our brand new home and we politely asked if they would remove their shoes when walking up stairs on the carpet. They both refused to do so. So we immediately called the store to talk to a manager and we talked with Nick who is completely clueless and I'll leave it at that! After talking with Nick at the store he told me they do not provide booties or any rugs for them to walk on when entering someone's home and was very unapologetic about the fact that they didn't. then we decided to let them continue but made the point that if and when they leave tracks in our house we will be requesting they send someone out to clean the carpet. -Then they go about doing their job with little direction given from the store they didn't know where to put carpet. This shows the lack of leadership on the management side. They then could not finish the job because they didn't bring padding to cover a section previously discussed and detailed in many conversations leading up to the job so they leave and I don't hear anything until two days later telling me that I need to pay $50 to get the padding that was already paid for and discussed for the job and to tell me a different installer is coming to finish the job.i told them I wasn't paying them anything and if anything they needed to be giving me money back so the new installer came the next day and the Same thing happened. He arrived and was told to finish a particular section but not the other sections that are a clear part of the room. Again a poor display of organization and leadership from management. So i call back to the store to speak with Anthony about this new installer and he says "I'm going to call the installer so he can finish this job and we can both part ways and I hope I never have to hear from you again" lol So long story but the short is don't go to these people for flooring. I highly recommend USA Flooring for their products and outstanding service. About 8 months ago, we were shopping for new carpeting and laminate. They had a great variety at fair prices. We selected a carpet remnant of superb quality at a price installed, below what the big box stores wanted for plain boring carpet. Instead of plain laminate, we went with a cork product. Both feel luxurious under foot. As for service, they get an A+. They installed on time as promised. When we did have a technical issue recently, they came back, fixed the issue, no back talk, and did us right. (No they aren't paying me for this review. I've had bad luck with other flooring contractors, and USA Flooring is a sigh of relief.) read more

See it and believe it "Terrible customer service", "Management at this establishment is less than professional". Nick was very boastful and patronizing regarding his years of experience and talked down to us during the entire purchasing process. If not pressed for time and led by another to USA Flooring I would have walked out. Although relatively fair with material costs, high fees associated with installation and clean up set a high expectation for this one day job. The job took two days. Not major problem but I had to initiate the call to find out that it would take a second day (with piles of old carpet left in my yard along with trash and many things not restored). Nick was unaware that the project wasn't complete and had to follow up. The overall installation meets expectations however my toilets were not reinstalled correctly, left uncapped with loose bolts. I had to initiate the call to share this information with an un-phased Nick. Nick is extremely difficult to communicate with. He does not listen and his answers are often excuses or do not address the issues outlined. He was also not shy in putting down the quality of work of a local contractor in our exchange. Hands down would never go back to this place or recommend to another individual. read more

This is to give a review on the contractors they sent to install the new wood floor, stain and finish new floor and existing floor. I was given three options for the polyeurothaine finish satin, med gloss, high gloss. I've seen floors with high gloss and love the look. We don't have young children or pets so I choose high gloss. When the contractor was done putting on the gloss finish, I expressed my concern about the bubbles left on the entire surface of the floor. He assured me that they would go away when the poly dries. Instead, some bubbles went down and left a ring, some bubbles just hardend. At that point I also noticed he had also left wripples on the wood after sanding. So he was sent back to "fix" buff out the bubbles and refinish the floors. He said that he thinks the poly he used previously was old or defective. I was hopeful and wanted to give the benefit of doubt. When everything dried, not only where the bubble rings and wavy marks on the floor still on the new and existing floors, but now there were scratches on top of that from him buffing the floor. I informed USA Flooring and requested that they send someone else who knew what they are doing to "fix" the hedious floors I had been left with. They sent out a different contactor who resanded the new and existing floors again and put on the high gloss poly again. When they were done and everything dried, I noticed that they had missed some spots with the sander, so my floors where left with some scattered visible scratches, bubble rings and it was still wavy and unevenly sanded. It was at this point that I completely lost confidence in USA Flooring's contractors and negotiated with USA Flooring on the final price of the horrible job. I'm am very unhappy with the job USA Flooring did. One day after placing flooring in my hallway marking from my front door was scaping the floor. Befor the "professional" place the flooring in my house, my wife and I talked with Stuart Waddell several times about the floor at the door.Several times Mr, Waddell stated that's no problem, when the installer were placing the floor I asked them about the floor, again no problem.Now I have a problem markes on a new floor two holes in a door, from them tryig to fix a problem they made. read more

needed to have some tile installed very quickly and the tile person I had lined up ended up having to cancel. So, I went to USA Flooring in Fayetteville. The initial customer service was great. David tried to help me find the right tile and was able to schedule an install when I needed it. However, the problems started there. Having never had tile installed before, I trusted USA Flooring to do it properly and that ended up being a mistake. The individual that they sent was not their regular person (they did not advise me of this until after the tile was already in) and because he was limited on time he did a quick install--the fast dry stuff that can be grouted after only a few hours. Neither they nor he told us that this particular process should not be done with porcelain tile (I discovered that on the internet while looking up other issues). When the tile was in, it looked okay EXCEPT that the floor was much lower than before and so the marble separator we had before would not work between the hardwood and tile. Instead of stopping, going and getting the proper piece, the tile guy just left a quarter inch gap between the tile and hardwood. Once he did that, my options were to have the tile ripped out and reset (the piece fits under the tile) or get some tacky looking piece to put over the doorway. In the end that's what I had to do--and, since USA didn't really come out for weeks to fix the issue, it was my brother who purchased and installed it. Additionally, along the tub and wall the tile guy left too much gap where the tile should have gone and so there are places where the grout is about an inch thick--my understanding is that eventually this will break out and will be a continual source of trouble in the bathroom. He did not finish in the closet. In short, the tile guy did a really sloppy job. When USA Flooring was made aware of this, they did come out and look and there were all kinds of promises about fixing things. Unfortunately, this is an old house and the solutions they could offer after the tile was improperly installed really could not be done without another major renovation to the bathroom. Because of our time constraint we paid USA Flooring about $150 more for this project than our other highest quote--and that quote included installing baseboard (which USA Flooring did not do). All in all, the bathroom is not as professional looking as it should be given how much I spent to have it done, but as of yet it does not look awful. I expect problems and because of that and because USA Flooring did not send someone out to actually fix the issues until many weeks after the initial installation and because the issues could not be properly fixed by then, I would urge others to look elsewhere for someone to do their tiling. The people there are really nice, but there is a breakdown in the system. Someone from USA Flooring should have come to check the finished job before the tile guy left initially and once they saw the problem it should have been fixed in a timely manner. Also, they never reimbursed me the $30 they charged for a new marble piece. They kept the piece and the money. read more

USA Flooring gets one star for price. I had them install all new carpet in the upstairs and they refinished all the hardwood floors downstairs. 1. They tore up newly painted walls during carpet installation. I had to go around and repaint. 2. They got stain all over the white baseboards during the hardwood refinishing. I'm still cleaning the baseboards. 3. They promised to install shoe molding in a couple areas where there wasn't currently shoe molding. They never installed it as promised. So, I give them a star because I thought their price was fair. I won't use them again. Messy and careless. read more

Do not go to USA flooring in Raleigh on Capital Blvd. We received very poor service here and the price they gave us for vinyl flooring was outrageous! They also told us we would have to pay an extra shipping charge in order to get the vinyl in within 7 days. They said we could either pay the extra shipping charge or we would get the vinyl "whenever they placed another order with that company." The men there were very rude and told us we wouldn't be able to find the flooring we liked any where cheaper. When in fact, we went straight to Terry's Floor Fashions in Raleigh and found the exact same flooring for 200 dollars cheaper and with 3-4 days shipping with no extra charge. We had a terrible experience. We received both a product that looks bad (most likely installed wrong) and excuse after excuse for customer service. In mid-2015, we purchased a floor for our basement from the Raleigh location of USA Flooring. It is a LVT/luxury vinyl tile product. Nick was our sales person. The edges are buckled up and the floor is not flat. I contacted the USA Flooring location to discuss the issue. When I called, I was assured that it would be taken care of and both USA Flooring and the manufacturer guarantee the product. However, it has been an extremely tiresome experience since that time. When I first called the store, we set up an appointment for the lead installer to come to our house and assess the situation. When the installers arrived, it was not the lead installer and the two men who came spoke no English. They were only at our house for 2-3 minutes and were not able to communicate with me. I waited a week to hear back from the store, but heard nothing. When I called back the second time, I spoke with Nick. We set up a second appointment for an installer to come out to assess the problem. This time, nobody showed up. The next day, I received a call and we set up yet another time for the installer to come out. This time, an installer came out. He agreed that the floor looks bad and this should not have occurred. He said that he would call Nick immediately and "Nick would call me." Again, I waited and did not hear anything. I called the store and spoke with Nick. The next time, two men were sent out to trim the edges off the floor, since they were worried that the floor may have been installed too tight and that was causing it to buckle. This remedy did not help the floor and again, I heard nothing back from the store. Each time that I speak with the store, I am told a series of excuses. Some of these have included, "most the staff at the other USA Flooring location quit last month and people have been busy" and "the fax must have gotten lost." About 5 weeks ago, an independent flooring investigation was sent to our house to assess the situation. He was very thorough. He explained that he was hired by the manufacturer, Happy Feet. He said that within 2-3 weeks, he would share his findings with Happy Feet, who would share with USA Flooring, who was then supposed to share the results with me. Last week, after 5 weeks of hearing nothing, I called the store and spoke with Nick. He said that the results were not back yet. He did say that he wanted to come and get a floor sample (the investigator already took several floor samples.) I then called Happy Feet. You can understand my surprise when they told me that USA Flooring has had the results for several weeks and should have shared them with me. Happy Feet also shared that they requested USA Flooring to get the sample from me several weeks ago. When I asked Nick about this, he said that the fax might be lost somewhere and said that "Anthony just told him to call about the sample." I was told that I would hear something by Monday (today). I have heard nothing and have reached my maximum frustration. I have been told that USA Flooring has the investigation results, yet they refuse to share them with me. I have a floor that looks terrible. And, each time I call, I am told useless and rambling excuses. At this point, I am asking for a full refund. USA Flooring can have the floor back. I am a very understanding person, but I now feel I am being taken advantage. Last week, I submitted my frustrations on a link via the USA Flooring website. I heard nothing back. I hate to have to do this, but I have been patient for the past 4 months and received no help. read more

So my experience with USA flooring started out great up to the point of installation. When they came to install it was 2 men and a child, which I called immediately to make sure that he was covered under their insurance. It took them over 10 hours to not even do half the job. They had to come back the next day which took them another 4 hours and then another day which took them 2 hrs. I don't have a big house and the part that we were getting done was less than 600 square feet. I also felt like I had to tell them how to do their job. Originally they did not remove my vent covers to lay the floor but instead cut around them. I had to tell him this wasn't the proper way to do it and he said "oh yeah, thank you for telling me". They cut too much off of my door frames so there is a large space between the floor and the frame. On the second day of them being "finished" he put the quarter round down telling me that he was done. I look at the quarter round and there was no caulking put down! Again, I mention something and he gives me the same response "thank you for telling me". The last day they come out to only lay down a transition piece between my kitchen and hallway they bring 5 people. Well one of them was trying to take a shortcut and trim a board to make the transition piece fit and he gouged 3 pieces of the laminate. Resulting in him having to remove and replace. On top o that one of the boards was cut too narrow and the subfloor was visible. This part they filled with wood putty! They lay down the final pieces of quarter round and go get in their truck. Again, no caulking. So I run outside to get them back in to do the job right. One of the things that truly bothers me is that they did not clean the subfloor properly so every time I walk on the floor there is a constant gritty noise. We had our living room done at a separate time with a separate company, no complaints. I thought these installers were sun contractors but come to find out they have worked with them for over 20 years. This was my experience with the installation side of things. When I called the store to get issues solved I got a lot of back talk and push back from the sales associate which does not help with an already frustrated customer. Do not use these people for installation or even to by from, based on their customer service. read more

I live in CA and had dealt indirectly with USA Flooring and Scott DeBoer when a couple of years back my property manager arranged for the carpet to be replaced in my rental property. Everything went well and I got a better price than the big home improvement stores so of course I was happy. More recently (March 2016), I decided to list that same property for sale and went to Raleigh to help coordinate and make some decisions. Not only did Scott arrange for an estimate, a good few very helpful back and forths (I was in and out of Raleigh), and the install all during the week that I was there, he really went above and beyond to help me resolve a pet odor complication that required additional attention after I had already left Raleigh. I can't tell you how stressful it would have been to deal with the situation if Scott had not been there and had not extended the truly caring and professional customer service that allowed me list the house with minimal delay. I know who I'm going back to for any future flooring needs in the Raleigh area. read more
