My company came here for an off-site last year so not only did we stay here, we took advantage of…read morethe entire facility for a couple of days. They have an awesome mural in the dining area and had several floors for 300 + people to utilize. The breakfast buffet consist of Irish breakfast and some additional continental options and it was superb. Overall the place had a really interesting live and felt pretty homie. It was about a 15-20 walk from the city center where all of the action was so it was close enough but also far away enough from all the craziness in sounds at night. There were also a couple shops in the area which was nice in case you wanted to eat elsewhere. My biggest gripe was that I personally didn't like staying at hostels, which doesn't really have anything to do with this place as it was a decision for the entire company to stay here. I personally like having my own space and the experience of sharing it with others was quite interesting. Luckily this hostile would be what I consider to be a fancier also because all the rooms had their own towels and their own bathrooms... Which I'm not sure is common or not but it's always nice to have your own bathroom as compared to point to a public shared bathroom. The other issue I did have and again I'm not sure if this is something common, the lack of AC during the summer. The rooms basically become the heat box and is unbearable to sleep in. Luckily we were able to ask for a fan and got the last one for a room. Do to some logistics we were house in a room on the fourth floor on the first day and then relocated to our permanent stay for the rest of our trip which was the ground floor. However it was right next to an outdoor seating area and you can't stop people from going there to chat at night because it's obviously a public area. So when you combine a chatty group of people plus an open window due to the heat and someone who's an extremely light sleeper... It all becomes a an unpleasant situation. As I've said I personally don't like staying at hostels but for what my company has selected this place was quite alright. Any time spent outside the rooms was quite pleasant overall.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but I felt this was worth mentioning. I had been traveling for over a day and a half and was extremely exhausted. I politely asked the front desk if there was anywhere I could sit and rest my eyes for a few minutes until check-in. The staff member immediately said no and made it clear that resting or sleeping anywhere in the lobby was not allowed. The interaction felt dismissive and not very friendly, and I noticed a similar tone when he was speaking with other guests. Another issue was the bathroom setup. I stayed on the second floor and there were no women's restrooms on that floor, so I had to go up and down the stairs each time I needed to use the bathroom. After check-in, I finally fell asleep because I was so exhausted, but I was suddenly woken up by loud pounding on my door( not a gentle knock )The staff member said he had made a mistake and placed me in the wrong room. I understand mistakes happen -- I've stayed in hostels all over the world -- but the way it was handled felt disruptive. As I was getting up to move rooms, he suddenly said I could just stay where I was. I had originally booked a four-bed female dorm because I hoped to meet other travelers, so having the room to myself wasn't really what I expected-but ultimately, I was grateful that I did have the room to myself so that was one positive He said he would make it up to me with a free breakfast token, but the breakfast ended up being very minimal (bread, cheese, yogurt, cucumber, and cereal). Overall, the atmosphere just didn't feel very welcoming. If you're looking for something friendlier with a better vibe, I would recommend Abbey Court Hostel instead -- the staff there are VERY kind, the common areas are lively- and they won't kick you out if you need to rest your eyes for 30 minutes and it feels much more inviting for travelers. I really do hate to leave a negative review, but this is mainly to make awareness to other travelers

We asked about the soup flavor & they offered a taste and brought out a huge sample boat. Super cool. I got the cottage pie lunch portion, which is more than I could barely eat. It came with a boat of the sauce /and gravy and meat. Wife got the fish and chips... The fillet was longer than the plate and it came with a mountain of fries, both delicious. Daughter got the creamy vegetable soup and chips. She loved it but couldn't even finish half. All the portions were very generous, nobody finished their meal, too bad we couldn't have taken it back to our hotel. Server was great & funny. Love this place.

From the traditional decor…read moreto the delicious food, this seems to be a staple spot for an authentic Irish dining experience. Thankfully, when I arrived around 1, one table happened to be opened so no wait for me. A long queue did start soon after though so just be prepared for some wait depending on when you arrive. I ordered the Seafood Chowder and the Guinness Stew. Both were very tasty! The Seafood Chowder had a good amount of seafood and the flavor was hearty but not overly heavy. Same applies to the Guinness Stew. Very hearty with lots of beef chunks but I didn't feel too heavy after eating it. The stew is definitely much different in terms of flavor and the richness (the stew was a lot more rich) but having the contrast of both dishes was ideal. To top it off, dipping the provided soda bread in each of the dishes was an added bonus. The service is very prompt and the staff are friendly. There's a decent amount of tables so turnover shouldn't be too long for those waiting in the queue. Will definitely be back on my next visit to Dublin to try the other dishes!

I was wanting to try something authentically Irish. I went with the Black Pudding Sausage Roll. I have never had black pudding before & was going to give it a try. Its appearance was different than what I had envisioned but again I have never had it. The roll was quite tasty. My wife looked at the blacken pastry log with both discuss & curiosity. She looked up let her judgement down & speed to the internet for this mysterious beginning. Upon, learning of it origin asked if I had known what the contents were of this darken beast. Knowing the context of the question & that she would inform me of my potential horror I pressed on. The Black Pudding Sausage Roll was finished before the origins could be revealed. I would highly recommend this to anyone who has never experienced a true Irish meal.

They allegedly serve an authentic Irish breakfast, which I had to try. It is all mostly delicious, affordable, and the service is friendly and fast to boot. The plate is arrayed beautifully, with the beans, sausage, rashers, and eggs tasting fresh. The generous amount of toast more than makes up for the heavy meats on the plate. Unfortunately I was not a fan of the pudding, and the hash browns did look a tad greasy, but the tomato and mushroom make up for them. They added good texture and balance to the meal. Sit back and relax, or get to work early and enjoy a nice breakfast here. It is a great way to start your day off right.

You are required to order three items from the menu, which is no problem with all the delicious options. One of our dining guests got the scallop starter and kind enough to share a bite. It was fantastic. I had the deviled egg. Nice but not over the top. In hindsight, I'd would do double scallops. Round two was marinated tomatoes with ricotta cheese and peaches. A very good options for two of our guests. I had the Beef cheeks and ox tail in a Parker House roll with bone marrow gravy. Wow! Delicious! And another guest had the bone marrow with chimichurri and toasted brown bread. Fantastic! For mains, one couple shared the beef specialty, a sirloin roast cooked a perfect medium rare. My wife had the White Pork which is a thick cut pork chop. Very good, well seasoned as well as moist and tender. I had the pork schnitzel. While good, it was pretty basic. In hindsight, should have gone for the halibut. Wine list gave you ample opportunities to select from French wines and a few Italian. With one American. Would like to see this area of the restaurant expanded a bit. All in all a wonderful dining experience.
