So excited that Insomnia Cookies finally opened a location on Long Island. I've always loved stopping by when I'm in the city, especially late at night, so having one closer to home is awesome. The cookies are exactly how they should be: warm, soft, and fresh out of the oven. My favorites are the classic chocolate chunk and the snickerdoodle, but honestly everything I've tried has been great. The staff was friendly and the service was quick, even with a bunch of people coming in. Another huge plus is that they stay open late. Places that serve warm cookies at 2 or 3 in the morning are rare out here, so this spot is definitely going to be a go-to for late-night cravings. If you've had Insomnia in the city, you'll be happy to see it on Long Island. If you've never tried it before, this is the perfect excuse. Definitely worth the visit. read more

I have no clue why this place has such bad reviews. My experience was really good. I came here with my family at like 1130pm on a Saturday. No issues. There was one staff there holding it down by himself. Fast, friendly and attentive. It was clean asf inside and smelled straight like a cookie factory. I had a pleasant experience~ ordered on the Insomnia Cookies website for delivery from this location at 3:15 and my order arrived at 3:45. Wow~ fastest delivery ever! Was also able to apply 2 of their promos- free delivery on any order $15+ and $1 deluxe cookie every Tuesday during the month of August~ definitely a good deal. Everything was delivered warm and fresh. The brownies were fudgy, rich & cakey- so delicious! Brookie was a little dry and the s'mores cookie could use more graham cracker bits but both were gooey, chewy & my kids enjoyed it. The cookies are great however the customer service is terrible. The staff seems to mainly be younger teens who don't really care about the job. During my visit the woman at the register messed up 2 customers orders prior to mine. The person in front of me ordered 2 regular cookies and 1 premium, when the premium cookie he wanted was sold out he asked for a different premium cookie which the worker said they can not do due to a price difference he went back and forth with the worker explaining how all the premium cookies are all marked at the same price which she looked at the menu then allowed for the substitution. When I ordered my food I asked for 2 regular cookies and 1 premium after taking my order and having me pay she said it would be a 5 min wait since the premium cookie just finished cooking and if they try to serve it to me it would fall apart. I told them I didn't care I would take the cookie even if it falls apart since I was annoyed with being in the establishment for nearly half an hr due to the mistakes the employee was making on customer orders and them arguing with her. Once I received my cookies, 2 of them were wrong but I simply didn't have the energy to even argue as I just wanted to go home and the cookie that needed 5 more mins to cool was undercooked in the middle. I think she just lied about the cookies needing to cool down and after hearing me say I wanted it either way she didn't have a choice but tell me she lied and say it needed more time to cook or give me an under cooked cookie which I now know which one I received. Overall insomnia cookies as a general have great cookies however I wouldn't come to this location unless you have plenty of time and patience. read more

Seems every time I placed a mobile order I get there and they tell me everything I ordered is not in available. First things first, I was super excited to see that an Insomnia Cookies opened up on the island, and only 6 min drive from my favorite Spanish restaurant (quick plug for The Dominican Restaurant on Front Street). Whenever I'd head into the city and see an Insomnia Cookies spot, I'd always grab a 6 pack to go. Nothing's better than having a warm cookie on a cold evening. Anywho ... there is a parking lot in the back of the store, just keep in mind that it's under construction so please be mindful how you park, you can easily block someone from coming or going and not realize it. I walked into the store and took a deep breath in, to take in all the goodness that Insomnia Cookies has to offer. I was taken aback when seeing the sign of all the cookies they didn't have to offer due to them being sold out at 8pm. I thought to myself, they're open to 1am and all these flavors are all sold out?!? Good for them but not good for the customer. I kept my order simple, a 6 pack of cookies - 3 sugar and 3 chocolate chunk. Whenever I've ordered, from NYC to Baltimore, I usually am offered a box without me even asking. At this location, I wasn't and wished I did. My cookies were warm and soft but when I got home, the chocolate chunks were smushed together - not a good look. While I was posting my pictures on Yelp, I noticed that the price for the 6 pack (in the picture) said 'starting at $15.25' ... but I just realized it's not. I was charged $16.50 for my 6 pack of cookies. Am I complaining about the false advertising? I am but I'm not .. because I like Insomnia Cookies THAT much. I'm just putting it out there for anyone who's trying these cookies out for the first time. Will I return to Insomnia Cookies in Uniondale? ... probably. Ordered from here on DoorDash, it was my first time trying them. Delivery was really fast. I had 6 cookies and they were really good! Okay, so unfortunately things have taken a massive turn with this place since we first went. Out of the 4 times I've been to this Insomnia Cookies, only 1 was pleasant and it was when I wrote my first review. It has gone completely downhill from there. Two of the four times we went they had literally NO COOKIES. Once at 12pm and another at around 8ish... how do you have almost no cookies left when you're open until 1am (3am on the weekends, mind you!) Don't even get me started on the service. First day we went, which happened to be the second day of opening, the super nice guy behind the counter was welcoming, friendly, and helpful. We haven't seen him since. Every employee we've encountered after was incredibly dismissive and looked like they didn't want to be there. And they don't seem to care for the order of the line either because we seemed to have gotten skipped over several times despite the workers looking right at us. And it's usually always the same people working that do this, too. I love Insomnia Cookies and I really want this place to do well. But all of these events have deterred us from wanting to go there again and be let down once more. Even though this location isn't far, it's still awful when you're anticipating some of your favorite cookies and they have NONE of them, or the customer service is unpleasant and unwelcoming, or both! They also need to make sure they have enough stock to last the entire day, because being sold out hours before closing is just simply unacceptable and could take a business down quick. Hopefully Insomnia Cookies takes all these negative reviews into consideration so they can flourish into a wonderful business, because having a local Insomnia Cookies should be awesome! Ordered two brownies with ice cream on door dash. Ice cream scoops were small and kind of boring. I wouldn't get this again

This review is based off my experience and not the actual cookies because I never had a chance to get them. I came here at 4pm on a Sunday. Clearly their hours state they're open, however their door was locked even though there were employees inside working. Confused, I walked back to my car and called the store, no answer. After a few minutes I watched someone go the the door while an employee opened it and handed them cookies. I decided to walk back over and try again. Door was locked. I knocked, and a worker walked to the door, unlocked it, and said they are too understaffed to be open?? Super confused because there are employees inside making cookies but they can't sell them to me?? Employee said no they cannot sell me a cookie at this time even though I just watched someone pick some up. What a disappointment. You literally have one job. read more

My very first order with them and they GOT IT WRONG!!!!!! Completely left off 2 Double Chocolate cookies that I ordered for my son who of course was disappointed :( I called the store, nobody answered. Then when I finally got through I was told nobody in the bakery section was answering and I was given a refund for the cookies that were not delivered but yes they were paid for. I live less than 5 minutes away from the store but today I am not feeling well so I can't go to the store to pick them up. Not sure that I will ever order from them again.
