Just ordered today, 4/14/25. The girl who took my order asked for both of my orders at the same time. A large with half mango and half watermelon, and a pint with half mango and half cherry. She comes back a minute later and asks what they were again. She comes back a few minutes later with my order, I pay and leave. When my son and I get home and start eating, we find out that the large is half cherry and half mango, and the pint is part cherry, part watermelon, and somehow part strawberry?? We were obviously not aware of this, and my son was eating the pint with the flavors we thought we ordered, until we realized he was having an allergic reaction. He is severely allergic to both cherry and strawberry. We will not be ordering from this location again until these obviously new employees can learn how to fulfill proper orders. If we hadn't realized quickly that the orders were wrong, I would be in the emergency room with my son right now. read more

Friday. 1pm. Came on my lunch break and was looking forward to getting my usual Pineapple and Lime ice. I saw 2 flavors on the menu that I was looking to try, 'Coconut Raspberry Tar' and 'Key Lime'. Michael was helping me out and made sure to also bring out the 'Key Lime Pie' also that included graham cracker. So happy he did because it's one of the flavors I wound up getting. Well actually it's for cold treats lol For years I'd buy a large Italian ice with 2 spoons and bring it to share hubby at work (Cathy the awesomely sweet employee says "aw so romantic!") But...lately my new obsession is a vanilla soft serve cone with rainbow sprinkles! Parking for this location is a little bit of a nightmare, but I've always had very friendly and quick service. The people who work here are always willing to offer recommendations and offer you a sample, yet I always seem to choose the same flavors over and over again. If I get cream ices, I choose either jelly ring, graham cracker, rainbow cookie, and/or java chip. If I'm in the mood for a twister, I'll get soft serve vanilla ice cream and strawberry or pineapple ice. All are fantastic and if you go on a Tuesday, it's buy one get one of the twisters. Their normal Italian ice is ridiculously watery, the consistency is similar to a melted slushy, large ice chunks and sugar syrup. Perhaps it is supposed to be like that or I've gotten the bottom of the bucket every five times I've been. Regardless the 79 cent slurpee at 7/11 is more consistent. Sometimes the line builds and staff gets very overwhelmed and take a long time to fulfill orders. This particular location is always out of flavors (even in the fall during off peak times). Italian ice and ice cream alone gets itself 2 stars, but I don't understand the hype of this expensive LI chain. read more

Love this place! In the summer they are a life saver. The selection is extensive which does tend to make choosing a flavor a little harder. I normally like to get the tiramisu or the Heathbar cream ice's which are always good. The cream ice is a kind of Italian ice and ice cream mixture which is refreshing and smooth. However, they have many types of smoothies, slushies and even icecream Sundays. You can't go wrong during the summer here. This place is pretty cool! And so are the Italian Ices! Someone told me that Ralphs is THE Long Island/NY 'ice cream' thing. And I can see the draw. There were over 40 flavors of JUST Italian Ices plus a whole other menu of smoothies and cold drinks. Whoever was working there was sooooo friendly. I don't expect that anymore in New York, but either she was a high school kid working a summer job or just a nice young lady with a fantastic attitude, but either way Ralphs is lucky to have her. A+ for service on my visit. I got a small (3 scoops) cup of Coconut, Vanilla Chip, and some chocolate flavor and they were all fantastic. They aren't really "scoops", but the small was already pretty big. They make layers and stack them. This location is right off a very big street across the street from the Nassau Coliseum parking lot. We came on a not busy day, but we still had to wait a little for our turn to order. I can't even imagine what it would be like during a game day. I can definitely see why this is a staple here and I am definitely a fan! read more

I don't live too far from Ralph's so I come here fairly often in the Summer. There are so many flavors to choose from, but my favorite flavors are the fruit ones because there are actual pieces of fruit in them! The cantaloupe water ice has bits of real cantaloupe in it, adding texture which i really enjoy. The staff are extremely nice and accommodating, letting you try numerous flavors until you find "the one" you want. There is only street parking so hopefully there is space to park. It is closed during the winter months are reopens again in late spring, if I'm not mistaken. read more

The variety of flavors is so ridiculously overwhelming that you're usually left staring with your mouth open at the menu while being asked what you'd like.
