I live dangerously close to Insomnia Cookies and they are conveniently open when I'm up late and have a craving for something sweet. I prefer the M&M and gooey S'more's cookie, always with a glass of milk. Some reviewers have had issues with daytime service and hard cookies. I can't speak to that when no one is there when I go on weeknights after midnight and when my cookies always come out soft and fresh at that hour. A bit pricey? Yes. I consider this the fee for being open really late. I might consider the staff too laid back but it could be because of the late hours when I'm there that the place seems a bit disheveled and they are goofing off in the back. In this case, that feels right for a cookie shop. read more

I've had it a few times and the cookies and ice cream are ok, but if you're ordering over the phone or online, be prepared to wait at least an hour for delivery. Which in my opinion, ordering at 10:45, calling twice to check on my order, and then finally receiving an order that's been driven all over the city before being delivered at 12:45, isn't worth an "okay" cookie. You would think a company that puts an emphasis on late night delivery would care a little more about actually getting things delivered in a reasonable time. read more

First off, I'm a fan of all things dessert related! Insomnia Cookies is a small shop with a small variety of cookies and ice creams, but allows you to mix it up with icing and toppings. I had the chocolate chip cookies with vanilla ice cream in the middle (Cookiewich). It was my first time to try this place out, and the staff was extremely helpful in telling me about what they had. I love cookies, and those cookies were great! The vanilla ice cream in the middle was a delicious addition. However, the ice cream tasted like a soft serve, and melted super fast...super fast. It was about $5 something for a cookie ice cream sandwich thing. I bought 3 to share, so it came out to about $17 something. While the treats were yummy, and I recommemd trying this place at least once for yourself, I give this place a "3.75", not just a 3. While the staff was super helpful and the treats were good, I'm just not sold on this place yet. If they add more variety to their ice cream, more cookie options, an ice cream that's less like a soft serve - then this place definitely has growth opportunities here in good'ol Lubbock. *I will make sure to try this place out again in a couple of months, as this place is fairly new so additions could be coming. read more

This insomniac location has to have by far the worst and slowest service imaginable. I'm not sure why I've ordered from this location over 3 times in hopes that each bad delivery was just a fluke and not just down right terrible service but that is, unfortunately, exactly what it is and exactly what you can expect if you decide to take the very high risk of ordering from here. My first time ordering from this location the driver did not give us the correct order so I ended up paying for ice cream, water bottles, and cookies I never received & when trying to contact the driver I got radio silence. Let that one go because s**t happens....However...The second time, being ignorantly hopeful, I ordered cookies for my boyfriend and not only did the cookies never get delivered but when I spoke to customer service to re-deliver the cookies the next day at a scheduled time those (surprise surprise) never got delivered either, so I once again paid for cookies that I never received. The third and final cookie let down is the extremely agonizing amount of time it took to receive the cookies from the time of the order being placed to delivery, when I had been told it would take 30-45 minutes.They also did not write the special note I had written for my dear friends birthday surprise. Overall disappointed in the quality of service this location continuously gives and disheartened that the poor quality of service has completely turned me off from ever ordering from here again and if having 0 customers left in lubbock is what this location is trying to achieve they are well on their way. read more

Customer service is absolutely incredible. I'm sure with their hours they get a lot of shy anxious introverts but my first time going was tonight because I needed food and to take a walk after being on the brink of an anxiety attack. This guy was so calm and patient with me as I went over the menu several times trying to will myself to speak. I even overlooked that they didn't accept cash and he just told me very calmly. They have no clue how bad my day and night was and still were so nice. I walked outside feeling so much better. Also, the cookie is delicious, I'm currently eating it and typing this out. Tried to order Valentines cookies for daughters at college. The Valentine boxes I ordered came as one box and I did not get what I ordered. I emailed Customer Service and they said they would replace the order. That never came and when I told them they said it was delivered. The girls checked the ring and they were home never came. Then they said they would give my money back and deliver again, again no cookies and no refund yet... I had better luck with Tiff's Treats in Lubbock will use them next time. Ordered a cake online to be delivered at 11:45PM (friends birthday at 12AM). Kept checking for updates online throughout the day and there were none. I called at 11:45PM and they said it's still in the oven & that they're understaffed. They said it needs ten more minutes in the oven. Best warm cookies in town hands down ! Try their peanut butter cookies or try their chocolate chip cookies with a glass of milk. The prices for the cookies are well worth it. I highly recommend them because they also deliver to your house and they stay open till 3 am!! read more

The service in this place is absolute trash. Literally each time I have been here it's terrible. The register person said "I don't eat this crap" when I asked what his recommendation is. This place is definitely hyped up. I decided to try it for the first time, and went with delivery. I ordered the seasonal pumpkin spice cookie, and a cookie which with a sugar cookie, snickerdoodle cookie and strawberry ice cream. The cookies were extremely hard, and not fresh baked or soft as they advertise. You can tell they had been sitting all day. It's kind of hard to eat a "cookie which" when the cookies are that hard. Next, the girl who delivered my cookies was weirdly rude. She just handed me the bag and literally said, "here." Everything was $11 dollars total, including delivery and the small, deserving tip that I left. Most definitely will not be trying this place again. Deserves zero stars! Customer service is horrendous! On multiple occasions I've placed an order and would be given 30 min to expect order delivered, but it's never the case. Recently I put in an order at 945pm. Looked at my clock it's 11pm, I call customer service and they state my order is next in line. Look at the clock it's 1230am and I STILL don't have my order and it was only 6 cookies!!! I end up getting in my car to go retrieve order myself at almost 1 in the morning lol. Get to the establishment, and no concerns,comments, apologies for the delays, NOTHING. And my box was just sitting there not even in an warmer or anything. The worst customer service I've seen. No communication and or efforts to have an establishment that people want to come back to, it should not take 5 hours to make and deliver 6 cookies. I ordered a dozen cookies for delivery at around 11:30pm and got a call at 12:20 that one of the cookie flavors I ordered was out and needed to be replaced and as soon as I told them what to replace it with and they hung up in the middle of me talking. Finally got the cookies at 1am and I guess one of the workers was hungry because we only had 11 cookies (the cookie missing wasn't even the one they ran out of). I am not one to complain but lately the Lubbock store has been really disappointing. Seems like the employees are closing the store whenever they want despite the stores posted hours. I've went twice this week and both times they have closed early. I went Wednesday night at 11:45pm and the open sign was still on but the door was locked and there was no one inside. The closing hours posted online was 1am. I went the next night at 12:30am and again the door was locked. Someone was inside and opened the door but informed us they had already throw out all the cookies even though they close at 1am. I asked what were the actual closing hours and the employee said sometimes 12am and sometimes 1am depending. I offered to just buy ice cream then and was told they're only accepting cash, when I entered with cash the employee then informed me that they were actually cashless. I just laughed and left. This used to be a great place but I doubt i'll go back since they decide to close whenever. read more

Just tasted my first insomnia cookie and I am very impressed! We had them delivered and they were here much quicker than I expected. They were still warm when we got them. We tried the double chocolate chunk, peanut butter chip, sugar and snickerdoodle cookies. The cookies are wonderful and taste just as good as my homemade cookies. I don't really have much time to bake so needless to say I will be buying again however I won't have them delivered as that made them a bit too pricy for my budget on a regular basis. Definitely give this place a try for delicious cookies! I can't wait to go in and try some of the other treats when I have the time. read more

We ordered two chocolate mint cookies with one chocolate ice cream... And we got a brownie, chocolate chip cookie, and a sugar cookie with m&Ms sprinkled on top? But at least they got the chocolate ice cream. Also, the order was correct on the receipt. PS. Good solid, warm cookies but taste did not fully deliver.

We had a very unpleasant experience at this place. Trying to find a good ice cream option, we stopped in here after seeing the great yelp reviews. My husband asked the young lady if they had cookie dough ice cream. She told him simply "no" with no explanation of any similar options. He had to figure out for himself that they had cookie dough pieces as a mix-in option. She placed his vanilla ice cream high in a cup and then put all the cookie dough pieces precariously on top without offering to mix it up for him or anything. I had to go back into the store to ask for a bigger cup, so we could mix it ourselves. Then, we found the vanilla ice cream to be very bland and the cookie dough pieces were about the lowest value, disgusting cookie dough you can imagine. Then, he ordered a cookie ice cream sandwich for me. They advertise that they sell their cookies warm, but the cookies turned hard because the ice cream it was placed on was super hard. I've made far better cookies at home! Both of ours were over priced, and my hubby threw his away. We were the only customers on a Sunday morning, so I'm not sure why the clerk was so unhelpful, but this should be addressed. We should have gone to Coldstone or Marble slab. I went here a couple weeks ago and it was super packed with college kids. Luckily, I placed my order online and I was out the door without waiting. There were people waiting 15 minutes for a couple of cookies. Needless to say, these cookies are ridiculous! I got six regular cookies, three deluxe cookies, two milks and a pint of ice cream and it came out to 30 bucks. It was well worth it. The regular cookies (chocolate chunk, sugar, double chocolate, peanut butter, and oatmeal raisin) are great! However, the deluxe cookies are about three times the size of the regular cookies and about three dollars each are amazing. I had the Smores and Peanut Butter Cup cookies, so good. Great products but the customer service is lacking. Always get attitude when Im there and try and ask for a reasonable amount of ice cream. You really have to fight for a decent-sized scoop. Love the cookies, but extremely upset about the fact that ordering online for pick up doesn't change your wait time at all. Don't bother with delivery - absolutely the worst service available. Ordered a day ahead of time - really!!!! Special occasion - scheduled delivery for 1pm - not done. After calls to their service center - promises to deliver at 6:45pm. It's 7:05 - still not delivered. Saying it should be there in the next 15 to 20 minutes - can't say I believe.
