The cookies are great! The service is great! I don't know if I'd get cookies here that much though. Insomnia can often be crowded, even late at night. It's also a little pricey for cookies (it's over $1 per cookie, $3 per cookie if you get a special one), so for me this would be a special treat. Since its on University by campus, it's not always easy to find parking. I still recommend at least trying it. read more

I love ordering dessert from this place, but the customer service is always extremely disappointing. I always get the brownie, which I know takes longer to make. I was trying to be proactive by ordering online, so that I could just pick it up when I got there. When I arrived they had yet to start making my order, and the employees proceeded to argue unprofessionally right in front of the register. Overall, it was a horrible experience. read more

Like everyone states I passed this place for years. It has good food and good prices.

I never write reviews unless it's really called for it and today was that day. So I ordered online and pickup was for 45 minutes later, I get there and the line is ridiculously long. They have one associate on register slaving away and stressed out because he has to prepare the orders and take them while threes about 6 or more workers in the back doing nothing. I was so irritated I waited about 15 minutes in line for them to tell me I still had to wait for my order. Honestly if you're going to do online orders there needs to be a separate line or something so people don't have to wait another 15 minutes after arriving. The point of online ordering is is to not have to wait. Plus my cookies weren't very warm after having to wait that long and a bit too sweet. I probably will not be going again. read more

It's a tradition to go to Insomnia every year after my dance recital with the rest of the girls I dance with. It's always great and although the wait time is extensive at times, the staff is always very friendly and works diligently. I was there a few minutes ago around 10 o'clock and was scared to walk to my car alone so one of the employees offered to watch me until I got there. Overall, always a great experience, and always amazing, warm cookies. Love this place. read more

This was my first time trying Insomnia Cookies. I have to say I did love my cookie sandwich. That is not why I am writing today. My customer service experience was less than desirable. The cashier had ice cream dripping down his ungloved hands and when he handed me my debit card back after I paid, there was chocolate ice cream dripping off of it. I said "you got my card messy" and he said "oh". I then said "can you clean it off so that I can put it back into my wallet please" and he said "the napkins are over there" and pointed to the end of the counter away from him. My purse was open, my wallet was open and I was holding my dripping card by the edge. He was clearly done with me and my transaction so I grabbed my open purse, open wallet, ice cream and dripping card and made my way out of there. It was very awkward and I felt mistreated. As a business owner myself, I would never make a mess for my customer to clean up. That is bad customer service. read more

now, let me start out by saying, i didnt buy cookies. i wanted to, but i didnt. i had a bite of a friend's cookie sandwich and it was excellent. but i didnt buy one because i am not supporting insomnia cookies (at least not the one here). so here's my reason: story time - a group of around fifteen of my friends and i were walking down university, ready to buy and enjoy the cookies we've all heard about and were excited for. as we got to the corner store, i walked in and threw a cup that i had away, and then walked back out. the place was full so we were all going to wait outside until some people left. and someone who was standing outside, whom i can only assume was the owner or manager, and he said, 'hey, now you cant just use my trash can! are you going to buy my cookies?' and i told him i would (i didnt realize at the time that it would be a lie, because i had fully intended to enjoy a cookie from this infamous place!) so we went back to standing around, talking, enjoying the nice weather and then a couple of them almost walked in. the owner/manager didnt seem to like how long the door was open so he said 'didnt your momma ever tell you we ain't trying to heat up all of lubbock, boy?' and so he closed the door, without going inside. the owner/manager then said 'all of y'all get in a line. no cutsies now, just form a line. you can go in groups of three or four as people come out.' so he's already forcing us to not all be together. awesome. (i hope you sense the sarcasm) he waited about twelve seconds and then said 'all right we gon' interview y'all.' he started asking names and what they're majoring in. he came to one of us who was majoring in pre-med and said, 'ooo! i like that, you can move up here in the line.' then the next (or next-to-next) person was a business major, and he told them to get to the back of the line. (notice the blatant discrimination, simply based on what he feels are better or worse majors to have.) at about this time, people who were not in our group started walking up to the back of the line. he came to one of us who is in nursing school.. automatically sent to the front. he came to me, and asked what i do. im not in school, but i do have a job so i told him my job description; production for promotional products. he scratched his chin and looked up and went 'hmm.' and then loudly said 'question mark!' and skipped me. my cousin was right next to me, and he told the owner/manager his major. then the owner/manager read my cousin's shirt. (his shirt says 'porn kills love') so then he repeated what the shirt said and went, 'okay, back of the line!' and then he got around to the people who weren't originally with our group and he sent both of them up in the line a bit. the point isnt that there was a line. or that it was unfair what he was doing. the point that sent me over the edge, and made up the decision to not give them my business was that the owner/manager was rude. i saw no sign inside that said they have the right to refuse service to anyone. and though they weren't refusing service, they were basically telling people they couldnt get their cookies until the education majors/nursing majors/ pre-med majors got treated to their cookies first. this was rude and wrong and not how a business should be run. customer service is half of a good business, and the customer service wasnt good in any way. at least from the owner/manager oh, and a fun lil tid-bit: they were filming the whole bit, but i was never asked if it was okay to film me. so there is my two-cents on insomnia cookies. again, the cookie sandwich i had was delicious. but its not worth giving them money for the way he was treating all of us. read more

Insomnia Cookies are great! They melt in your mouth! Warm, Soft, and delicious. This place is consistent with other Insomnia cookies I've had. As you walk in, the delicious smelling cookies aroma hits you! I received speedy service. The cons are that insomnia cookies are pricey. read more

First time customer. My husband and I were craving cookies at 11 pm and ordered a few. Pricey, but we were craving some cookies! The cookies were delivered to our house less than 10 minutes later. All of them were warm and gooey, and the sugar cookie went great with the chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream on the side. Impressed! I know it's way cheaper to make cookies on my own, but I will probably order from them again! Sometimes you have a craving and you don't have the ingredients available. I live in Arlington, Texas and tried placing an order through your website last week to be delivered for my son's birthday which is today, December 4 twice. The first time I chatted via web regarding delivery dates and decided to wait a few more days to have to cookie delivered on December 4. The 2nd time Insomnia Cookies website was having issues; I had 5 cakes in the inbox and could not delete any of them, I called the Lubbock store to place the order for the triple layer cookie cake; was told that I could call back the day I would like the cake delivered. I called around noon today, December 4, to order the triple layer and was told that I had to order this through the website; I ordered a 10-inch cake with Happy Birthday. I gave the lady the address to a dorm at Lubbock Christian University, which is 4.4 miles from the University Ave. location.; 22nd St., Lubbock 79407. The lady never told me that the cookie could not be delivered, which I also included a $6 delivery fee. I only gave them my son's girlfriend phone number, was not asked for my phone number, but I gave the lady my email address; I did receive an email confirmation and when I tracked the delivery read that the cookie had been delivered. I texted the girlfriend to inquire how cookie looked; she told me that Insomnia Cookies does not deliver to Lubbock Christian University. When speaking with the lady on the phone, I told her I did not live in Lubbock, I told her that the cookie would be delivered to a dorm at LCU; I never gave the lady the dorm room number; just the address as the dorm has a student at the front desk to receive deliveries. With Insomnia Cookies being in the delivery business with an app, loyalty program, I would expect the person taking an order to know where Insomnia Cookies can and cannot deliver prior to taking an order over the phone. I am disappointed with the service I received. read more

Made an order and it was delivered missing five of the cookies. I called the customer service phone number not two minutes after the delivery was made. An hour later nothing. I called again and they say it's in route. Thirty minutes later still nothing. Will not be ordering from this place again. I can make my own cookies at home in twenty minutes not two plus hours.. Staff was super friendly. Cookies and ice cream tasted great. We ordered a 1 Bigwich, 1 Cookiewich and a 6 pack that we plan to eat over the week. Staff got the order wrong with cookie selection and made a Bigwich instead of a Cookiewich. With that said, they got the 7 cookie orders prior to us correct. Staff apologized for their mistake, gave us the Cookiewich and extra Bigwich for free, and we went on our way. Cookies were awesome! The place was super busy when we ordered. I saw a big guy in the back busting his butt over a huge oven to keep up with demand and an additional employee literally jogging around to fill orders. The place deserves 4 stars due to product quality and diligence/politeness of the staff. If I go there again and they don't mess up my order, they'll get 5 stars. I've read the 2 reviews previously. The 1 star reviewer seems a little harsh. In reference to their review: -The guy wanted the door shut because he probably pays for electricity/heating -The group was divided up so there wouldn't be a massive rush into the store. -The guy wanted to interact with his customers, so he asked their major and tried to have fun with them. Obviously, his joking wasn't well-recieved. I would suggest the reviewer bring their concerns to the store's attention directly (write a letter/visit to complain). This is probably one of the most OVERRATED places in all of Lubbock. If I could give this place zero stars, I most definitely would. The hype for this place is completely unnecessary. After a night out with friends, I decided I wanted a little snack. So, I decided to give this place a try since it was after 2 AM, it was newly opened, and they delivered. I ordered online, which was simple, and decided to get the "Six Pack". After the delivery fee, taxes, etc., I ended up paying a whopping $12 for some damn cookies. With that price, I was expecting them to taste like God himself made them....boy was I wrong. I waited about 20 minutes until my cookies were finally delivered, And my anticipation for these cookies were extremely high. I opened up the box and saw that they gave me an extra sugar cookie, which I thought was awesome. But then I lifted the first cookie out of the box, and they were completely limp (which I immediately found suspicious). I couldn't even hold them up without them slumping over back into the box. I took a bite out of it, and it felt like I was as biting into halfway cooked cookie dough. And that's basically what I was doing. I figured it was just that one cookie that was undercooked, but all 7 of them were like that. I couldn't tell you how heated I was! I was EXTREMELY disappointed at the fact that I had to put the cookies back in the oven myself, because that's what I paid them to do, not me. To be honest, I would NEVER recommend this overrated/overly priced place to anyone. You'd honestly be better off getting a cookie from Subway or something. DON'T BELIEVE THE HYPE!!!! read more
