Poor customer service. Waited about an hour even though the worker said 10-15 mins. He actually forgot one of my friends order. Couldn't get exactly what I wanted (which was the deluxe ice cream sandwich) because the employee said he was behind and was overwhelmed & it was going to take too long. There was another employee but he was on his laptop... This was my first and last time I'll never go there again. I couldn't believe the service. OK I get that it's a national quarantine and delivery is tough, but I ordered SIX cookies AT 10:20 and it took them until 2AM to tell me that they weren't gonna be able to make it. Great cookies. Business structure with no local phone number to address incorrect order is inexcusable. I spent $35 in cookies and 2 brownies were inadvertently not included. I didn't notice until I got home. I called number which was a call center in Philadelphia. It's very hit or miss with them. Sometimes the cookies are perfect and to die for and other times they're burnt to a crisp. I no longer order delivery because I can't trust it. Their in store cookies are better. read more

It's 3:30pm on a Monday. It shouldn't take over two hours to deliver 3 cookies to a location that is one block away. Also the tracker on the website has said I'm "up next" for 45 minutes and it's an awful tracking app. Pretty disappointed. read more

They are horrible at costumer service and you have to call headquarters to have them alter an order. We went into get cookies this morning and the girl there was getting things ready for the day. She told us she was waiting for her system to load. We were just waiting chatting not minding the wait when the girl told us to enjoy our cookies on her today cause she wasn't going to make us wait any longer. I've been to Insomnia Cookies three times in the last two weeks, and have to say these are not just cookies, but some of the best cookies ever! I'm finding that I'm becoming quite addicted to both the chocolate chunk and the peanut butter chip cookies. Yum! They are perfectly located right in uptown Normal....perfect for ISU students and anybody just happening to be in the area. While they offer delivery, which is an awesome service to offer, I've gotten mine pickup each time by using their app to order (another great feature). They're also open until 3:00 a.m.! I can't say enough positive things about this place. Oh, and the service was great each time I've been there. Usually when places first open up, there's a lot of kinks to work out, but Insomnia Cookies hasn't displayed any of those opening kinks from what I have seen. Bottom line, try this place! I placed an order online for 6 cookies and after 50 minutes of waiting for them I finally called multiple times to be put on hold for 10 minutes. When I finally was able to talk to someone they said they didn't have the order in their system. After them putting me back on hold they told me the driver was out for delievery. Placed an order for my daughter and her roommates for finals week. Selected a delivery date and time. After waiting 1/2 an hour after the delivery was supposed to be there I called asking if she received anything from me. No delivery. I called the customer service number after waiting for 10 minutes finally spoke with someone who said the order went out 20 minutes ago which was already 45 minutes AFTER she was to receive them. Not sure whatever happened to my order. She never received it even after 2 hours past the delivery time I choose. Contacted them again via e-mail and was told I will be receiving a full refund. We will see how many times I have to contact them for this. Something that should have been so enjoyable turned into a seek and find only to come up empty handed. Very disappointed. read more

It was my first time to Insomnia cookies. I was taking my time with reading the menu and the man working kept rolling his eyes and I could tell he was getting inpatient. I have a peanut allergy and asked what precautions they take. The man told me there is a LOT of cross contamination and they use the same trays for multiple cookies. This is very disappointing considering there are many people with nut allergies. Very bad customer service and inconsiderate restaurant. read more

When I went to the store to order cookies for a future date the girl working that day had no idea how to do it but instead gave me a brochure and told me to contact their website. Upon contact I was told that the person in the store should have known how to do this. On the day and time the cookies were supposed to be ready they were not and when I got them to our event they had given me 6 less cookies than what I had paid. I contacted Insomnia Cookies and they offered me a coupon for 6 free cookies upon my next purchase from them (they really weren't free because I had already paid for them so not much of a deal considering I'd have to purchase more cookies to get back the cookies I did not get in my first order). I finally told them to give me a refund which they did do. The cookies nothing special except the were warm. There are much better choices and lower costs in town and I won't be going back read more

We tried coming here for a desert after dinner. Parking is near impossible, but it's understandable. Once we got in the kid behind the register had money all over the counter and told us to come back in "5-10 minutes" as they were in the middle of a shift change. I just went inside Insomnia Cookie and I waited for 5 minutes with nobody there at the front desk to help me. I called out "hello" many times, but nothing. I'm very disappointed because I had heard of how good the cookies were. I wish I was able to try them for myself for the first time.
