I had my 1st Insomnia cookie at the OG brick and mortar location in Syracuse, NY 10+ yrs ago! It was great then, catering mostly to college students and their late night cookie cravings. Then I tried them when they had a store out in LA, and finally Riverside! I love it! It's just too bad that they're so expensive now. Nearly $10 for a 2 scoop ice cream and cookie. A deluxe cookie I think is around $6. But they serve them perfectly how I like cookies, soft, a tad crunchy and ooey gooey with whatever filling or chocolate. The salted caramel is one of my favs! Neither of us have a huge sweet tooth but we both loved the cookies we had. I tried 3-4 flavors so far but my favorite is hands down the Peanut Butter Chip. I also liked the Mint Double Chocolate. It is great there are smaller and larger sizes, if you want to do some portion control. The S'mores was too sweet for me, but I loved the melted marshmallow throughout. If you like a very crunchy cookie, this is not your place. It's more soft and crumbly style. Service was very good, and I got some good recommendations. read more

Tried Insomnia Cookies for the first time while in San Bernardino. I ordered two dozen cookies with clear instructions to have them delivered to the front desk of our hotel. Instead, they were left right outside our hotel room door, on the first floor of a busy DoubleTree that happened to be hosting all the Little League State Tournament teams. I know I was probably being overly cautious, but with that many kids and families around, I could easily imagine someone grabbing them as a joke or prank. I messaged Insomnia, but they just said the order had already been dropped off. Thankfully, I was able to get a hold of the DoubleTree staff, who ran over and grabbed the cookies for us before anything happened. We had ordered two dozen of the 3" classic cookies (an assorted mix) and honestly, they were just okay. We left them by the window to keep them warm (which helped), but once they cooled down, they lost that fresh-baked appeal. If we hadn't been ordering for a potluck, I probably wouldn't have spent that much on them. It's fun to try once, but I don't think I'd go out of my way to order again. read more

Best freshest and tastiest cookies anywhere Period. A tad expensive but way worth it and they don't go stale after a day like Crumble cookies do. My server was friendly and welcoming. She, Jessica, helped me figure out a way to get all the cookies I wanted and save money, so she is 5 stars also. The decor is chill collegiate. The location was a bit difficult to find, but it was worth it! The cookies were warm and absolutely delicious. I don't recall the name of the cookie I ordered but it had salted caramel. It was the perfect combination of savory and sweet. The fact that they sell their cookies warm and gooey was just the cherry on top. I do think for the small size, the cookies are a bit overpriced. But then again, this is not a place I'd visit regularly so it's not a big deal to me. I love that they also sell some beverages, including milk. The service was wonderful. So excited that Insomnia is closer to me! I've had insomnia in other bigger cities like Las Vegas, Philadelphia, San Francisco, and Ann Arbor so it was nice to see that they had an Insomnia in the IE. One thing I've always loved about Insomnia was getting a nice warm delicious cookie. Since it was their grand opening, I made it a point to drive to Riverside to get a cookie. To my surprise, there weren't too many people there. Maybe because this is the first Insomnia in the area and maybe people don't know about it? I'm not too sure. But the staff were certainly friendly and eager to help me. They made the experience great. For their grand opening they gave a free cookie and a chance to spin the wheel with a $5 purchase! My order was placed at 7:36pm and was out for delivery by 7:50pm with an estimated deliver of 8:02pm-8:17pm. Which is 100% okay. However after 8:17pm pass with no update from driver/store. So of course I called and was confused and the lady said he had Multiple orders to drop off at once and should be there in 20-30 minutes, way past my original eta. Came in for the first time because I kept seeing them promoted on Instagram. Pricing seemed high for such small cookies but I was on a lunch break and wanted to give it a try. I got the peanut butter and jelly one since that's the one I kept seeing being promoted. The size was like the small regular sized cookie that you'd make in the oven at home from the refrigerated section. The cookie itself was extremely greasy on my fingers and fell completely apart once I grabbed it out of the bag. I took a bite and it tasted like a peanut butter and jelly like it said though, just very oily and crumbled in pieces. After one bite I didn't want it anymore, brought it home for my spouse to try and they did not like it at all either so we threw it away. Saw a bunch of good reviews online specifically on their Instagram. Went in to try some cookies and ice cream for the first time. The flavors were typical flavors nothing really special and so were the cookies. The cookies were hard and cold. It felt I could have gotten better cookies at the grocery store for way less. If you want ice cream and cookies i'd recommend just going to the grocery store don't waste your time here unless you want to overspend on ice cream and cookies and love okay-ish flavors. Other than that the atmosphere was college oriented and service is good and I love that its open late. My previous review from 2.5 weeks ago was deleted, but the service here was horrible. I would suggest taking your business elsewhere because my friends and I were met with unnecessary attitude by one of the workers (male, mexican, glasses, and curly hair). We had placed a mobile order and went in to pick up cookies. We went over to the mobile order pick up area and he asked us in a demeaning tone "why are you here because the line is over there." We told him that we had a pickup order, but he became confused for some reason. So I kindly repeat what I said, then he rudely says "calm down you can just tell me your order" then scoffs at me. I was taken aback because I was being polite the whole time and it just didn't make sense given that he had an attitude since the beginning of this exchange. Just to add, the cookies we had were quite mediocre and to me felt overpriced, so it truly felt like a waste of our time and money. Overall, the experience left a bad taste in our mouths and it was genuinely disappointing because we were all excited to come here. One thing to add, it is clear that this specific worker is an issue as there was another now-deleted review from the same day talking about a similar situation with the same worker. This insomnia cookies location seriously needs to check up on this staff member because he is slowly ruining its reputation shortly after its opening. read more

This review was mainly due to customer service, the cookies were honestly not bad they were delicious. The cookies were not bad but it was more on the pricey side. I specifically asked the cashier register what cookies were not sweet she recommended me the macadamia but that was actually the sweetest out of the bunch I had ordered. But the triple chocolate chip was actually very delicious, super soft and melty. However the customer service was good up until this one girl was giving judge mental and a lot of attitude. It was my first time coming here and there's not really cookie places in riverside other than crumble. We were debating on ordering a deluxe box or just single cookies. The cash register was struggling to take our order, and we had to repeat ourselves 3-4 times. But not only that but the girl who was putting the cookies in the boxes kept giving us looks and gave us attitude when we paid. It was disrespectful and rude when it's our first time there.
