At one point I could no longer unlock the Driver's side door from the outside or inside as the long metal arm between the locking peg and the lock itself broke off. No one made or sold that part anymore. I thought I'd have to finish my last year without a car, and then my first couple paychecks after that trying to get a newer one. The mechanics at Mitchell machined a new part and then installed it for about $20. The car saw me through commissioned officer training in the Air Force, and my young family to our first duty station on the East Coast. The issue we thought we had - bad starter, was quickly diagnosed by Mitch as a faulty Fuel Pressure Regulator. He told us that had we not come in, our SUV could have caught on fire as there was a fuel leak.
