Unfortunately inspire was recommended by our pediatrician office. We learned quickly the Inspire providers are ill equipped to help children. It is on our family for not leaving sooner. We quickly switched from one bad therapist to Tanner Hough. We spent the better part of a year under his care. He made my kids feel bad with his goal setting and used the time to Flex as my kids said. There is nothing like receiving parenting advice from someone that probably went to see Taylor Swift when she was in town. Tanner is arrogant and useless. There are better therapist out there that can help you kids. By the way, they are not at Inspire. Your kids deserve better. Save yourself the wasted time. If you are tempted to go to Inspire because of their location, I would ask you to download a feelings wheel and buy a bunch of dated board games. Inspire Counseling was recommended to me by a coworker. I struggle with my mental health and decided to see Inspire Counseling for psychiatry. I will say, I was not on top of my appointments at all and had missed a few. That's fine though I paid their no shows fees. My issue with inspire started on 05/17/2024 when I had received a bill of 391.58. I was not informed my appointments weren't fully covered and they were just all like " we need you to pay asap!" But they're apparently billed on the day of the service? How odd. So I had to pay them for it which is reasonable to an extent. I was frantic as this was my first time finding my own psychiatrist and not understanding the situation with my billing until my mother explained it to me ( I had moved here to Illinois this January. This was my first time ever having to handle these kinds of bills). My main issue with Inspire Counseling though is the fact when I asked for an itemized bill, they sent me the wrong one and was someone else's bill, which is a violation of HIPAA as it had the clients name, their address, type of appointments they received, and their providers name as well ( both guardian I assume and insurance) ( any form of medical record including mental health records are confidential) . All they said was "delete those immediately!" To the situation which is whatever. But then they tried to charge me a no show fee for an appointment that was supposed to be cancelled per their contract. Since I had to split my payments into weekly payments, I had an outstanding balance for 6 weeks. Per their policy " If we see an issue with your billing or your credit card is no longer active or valid, we will do our best to notify you. Services will be paused until the account has been paid in full. " yet they don't follow their own policy and tried to charge you anyways without saying anything. When it comes down to the actual services I received, I didn't enjoy it at all. Melissa was undermining and didn't hear me when I told her my concerns. I had an incident as well with her where I was 15 minutes late to my 60-minute appointment ( it was a zoom call ) but I had no direct contact information at the time to let her know. I had joined the room, and she was nowhere to be found. I had waited until the 40 minute mark of my appointment and decided to leave the call. I had a gut feeling that I should've screenshotted the time I had joined and yet, I did not. When I had brought it up the following appointment, she insisted she always waits for the first 20 minutes until she logs off, making me feel like she was almost accusing me of lying by the time she used. I'd say to save your time, money, and risk of potentially getting your records leaked and seek help elsewhere. read more

I found $1400 charges on my account after 7 week's signing my daughter few days before Christmas . I signed up my daughter who was 19 at that time to get some help. They scheduled a sessions for her every 4 days . They refused to talk to me because "your daughter is an adult " I said , I am paying , why does she need 9 sessions in 7 weeks . I didn't sign up for that much expense. I took my daughter out of the country for spiritual retreat and we were coming back and trying to call and cancel as soon as we found out that she cannot be at one session . We found $370 charges on my accounts the same day we called . I had the worse experience ever . I felt they are all About money not helping people . I asked my daughter what they did during $200 session . She said nothing , just listen , no workshop , no homework, nothing . My daughter said it's better for me go and talk to my friend than to them. Absolutely waste of money . Don't use them !!!!! read more

I was recommended coming here from my GI for my son's constipation. The counselor spent an hour talking to me to find out she couldn't help and referred me elsewhere, so pretty much a waste of my time. I was charged $300 which is a part of the contract; however they never asked for an insurance card and I was never called by the office to provide one. I did email them my insurance card and was refunded. A couple of months later another charge of $300 was applied. I called and emailed to see why I was charged. I then called my insurance to find out they sent the claim to the wrong address. I never got a call from this office to inform me of this information. I have called and emailed to ask for another refund This is very disappointing service. read more

Not real counselors and therapists. Unwilling to state their professional opinion for legal matters and not very knowledgeable of certain kids issues like when a kid is in the spectrum etc. My daughter is trans gender, we have affadavits from her teacher at Sears and her pediatrician, but Inspire was unwilling to help our girl with her name change and gender transition. I find it beyond disgusting and entirely disturbing. Her therapist at Inspire found our daughter to be incredibly well adjusted and not in need of therapy, yet they were unwilling to do anything when it mattered. read more

I'm absolutely dumbfounded that the reviews for Inspire aren't better. My only guess is that people just don't want to leave a review given the nature of the services provided. I have had an unbelievably amazing experience with the counseling staff as well as with Jackie- absolutely wonderful and kind! If I could give a higher star review here then I would. I was referred here by a friend and have also referred several friends. Each of them have commented that they LOVE the counselor they are working with as well. Thank you for creating such an inviting staff and knowledgeable group of providers. This place really is a treasure. read more
