Nothing special here. They charged me $60 (PLUS TAX) for a pedicure and he didn't even wrap my feet in plastic before he did the calluses removal, only sat my foot on top of a piece of plastic wrap while he worked on the next one. Then he filed my toe nails uneven, however he did try to fix it-but he began filing the shorter side instead of the long side. He really tried to do his best I guess, but sometimes your best just isn't good enough. Not to mention 2 hours later my feet feel like cinder blocks again. Very disappointed with my first visit. The first nail tech put on very crooked nails that were way too thick for my fingers. They looked really bad from the start. I had to switch the nail tech during my Service which messed up the timing, and I wasn't even able to get the pedicure I originally came for. Thankfully Tina attempted to fix my nails, but they still weren't what I asked for and ended up looking like white blocks. The whole experience felt disorganized and unprofessional. I've visited this salon twice in the past few months for a gel pedicure. The salon is bright and clean. The nail techs are friendly and attentive. The pedicures I received are comparable to those I've had in the past in terms of the specific services included. The prices are a bit high (in my opinion) but that seems like it's the norm now. The pedicures are listed in their "menu" without the additional cost of gel so be prepared to pay a $20 fee if you add gel to your service. A gel pedicure starts at $50 and increases based on the type of pedicure you choose. I did notice that some of the customers were offered drinks but I wasn't offered anything either time I visited so I'm not sure if that's exclusive to certain customers or if my techs just forgot/decided not to ask. So far I've had fill-ins from both Kim and Kevin, I've been pretty pleased with the work. The salon is clean and attractive with a calm and tranquil atmosphere. Kim was very nice, whenever all she did a decent job, but she had a little bit of trouble making my stiletto nails even on both sides. Fortunately she got them almost where I needed them to be, so I didn't have much work to do to fix them. Before she finished buffing them, she let me take the nail file and make the small changes that she wasn't able to make. No problem. She also did an excellent polish change on my toes. I came to Kevin after he did an exceptional job with a nail repair. He was better at shaping my stiletto nails but he added So. Much. Polish. So much so, that it changed the shape/appearance of the nail when we were done. I wanted to ask him to fix it, but I all the staff left there had taken their masks off while they were cleaning or putting things away, and I didn't feel comfortable or safe. I was the last customer of the evening of my appointment was finishing up, but they decided to All sit together near me, unmasked, and chat. Nope. At that point, all I wanted to do was get out of there. I've also noticed several nail techs that do not wear their masks in the salon when they are not servicing customers, which makes me very uncomfortable. I have brought these concerns up before, but they continue to happen. Huge red flag for me. read more

Absolutely outstanding customer service! I did a walk in and they sat me down right away. They lined my basin with a disposable lining and used sanitized nail tools. They were patient with my requests and were detailed about the services they offered. I'm usually skeptical about trying new shops especially for acrylic sets but my nail tech did amazing. I went ahead and tried this salon, based on the generally OK reviews. There was one review and particular that I should have listened to in regards to the cleanliness of the salon. You could tell they don't clean much or between patrons. I actually watched one pedicure be perform and before the next customer, no cleaning was done at all they just change the liner. My own pedicure chair was dirty with some leftover napkins in the cupholder, and I requested to change chairs. Whew. My overall pedicure and manicure service was just OK and I didn't notice until I had left at my manicure (dip powder plus chrome) had bubbles. UGH. And on top of that 3% transaction fee on all cards. Do not come here. Poor quality gel polish. I tip every time I have a service- but they don't deserve it. This is only my second visit and on the second day both times, the gel polish started to lift. Ironically on my second visit, less than 2 weeks from the first onlay, Maria said 'who did your nails' I said 'Dan, less than 2 weeks ago' she said wow, they shouldn't be lifting. I said I know- which is why I decided not to go back to him. There is a visible sign that says 7 day warranty on polish. In addition to polish chipping, I also had an index finger chip and thumb chip- this is a short onlay set. I arrived within the 7 day window to have my polish and nails repaired. I was told that sometimes gel doesn't work and I should choose a different color. After not being able to decide on which color I'd like, I asked just to have the nails repaired and a clear final coat applied (again this is a short onlay). I also asked the manager or whoever he was, why would you continue to use gel that isnt quality. He got noticeably upset. He said 'how can we know which one is bad, we have 1000s of colors' Well, 2 visits in and a teal blue chipped, then a nude pink chipped.... show me the colors that don't chip on day 2 and I'll choose from those lol How are you supposed to choose a color in confidence that it's not one of the bad ones. Maybe they just invest in cheap products, either way. I'll go back first thing in the am when it's less busy and get my clear coat and nails repaired. I don't understand how someone who services the public can be upset when they paid for a service..... He walked away without telling me how long it would be before I would have the repairs done. I love Inspire Nail Bar and I go to Maria. She does clean, high-quality work and is patient and receiving of positive and negative feedback. My positive for Maria: perfect shaping, color selection, bonding & neat application of acrylic. My negative feedback: she just couldn't get right shape of the French tip I desired. That's not an issue, it's actually very hard to do free-hand. I ordered her some stencils that I'll be dropping off. She didn't get upset with me when I asked to remove the two French tips she did for unevenness. She was happy to ensure the final product was up to par. I'll be returning to her. The salon is beautiful, neat and sanitary. Great parking and on a major bus line. Next to a few restaurants, Walmart and the international grocer--good central spot for getting all your errands done. I withheld a star because the owners consistently open 15-30 minutes after the posted business opening time. I'll arrive at 9:55a, in an attempt to avoid a long wait. And I'll end up sitting there for 20-35 minutes. Also, making appointments are a waste of time when you still have to wait for up to 45 minutes--after your scheduled appointment time--to receive service. I was a regular walk-in without an appointment and was attended right away. I was there for a pedicure and dip with tip manicure. I was looking forward to a really luxurious spa experience and I unfortunately didn't receive that. The customer service was seriously lacking, which is disappointing as a friend referred me. I booked an appointment online a few days prior & day of and arrived early for my 10:30 appointment. I wasn't acknowledged when I walked in and stood at the front for a few minutes before I walked to the back to ask about my appointment. No one knew where the technician was and I had to to ask if they would call him for an update or an ETA. After waiting over an hour for him to arrive, I shared the French-tip design I wanted and it became very clear he didn't want to do a fresh set of acrylic overlay on my nails (I explicitly booked this) or even do the design I asked for. He said he couldn't do it, even though I saw that exact design on the Instagram with his name. I quickly chose another design I saw on the Instagram. The French tip & design is sloppy, the acrylic is already lifting on day 2, the gel polish is not even covering some of my nails fully. It was a rushed job and honestly really unacceptable. I was expecting so much more. 3 hours later, I paid $150 (acrylic fill-in & simple gel pedicure) and left very unhappy. I will note that I tipped 20% on top of that. Their technicians are decent but not great and there are 2 salons near my office I go to and spend at least $10 less and they actually offer you a beverage. This is PG county not Alexandria or NWDC. I had been driving to Fairfax to get my nails done but my tech was on vacay and I badly needed a pedicure before a trip with a lot of walking. Tried Inspire which is hella closer to my house. Julie took such good care of me and my poor toes, saving me from the pain of ingrown nails. I don't think I've ever had calluses removed so thoroughly. On a busy Saturday afternoon the wait wasn't long. I called ahead of time and was told there were walk ins only for the day. Unsure if that's every Saturday or just that day. I overhead that mornings were less staff on hand so there's normally a longer wait. There's a Starbucks next door so you can grab a drink and relax during your appointment. It's great to find an establishment that is friendly, CLEAN, and worth returning to in the neighborhood. read more
