I'm visiting in town and just had a manicure and pedicure with Sarah and Andy did a great job!

I got a new set of gel-x nails put on a week ago. I let the spa know right away that I was disappointed. That the were sloppy and the design (French Nail) was really crooked. There was gel all over my cuticles and globs underneath. It's been a week and 5 out of 10 have just popped off! No stress on them just POP! It seems like every time I looked out a new nail is gone! Before getting my nails done at Venus, I got my nails done in a spa in San Antonio Antonio. They lasted me about five weeks. Gel nails are the best nails you can do however, you need somebody that knows how to put them on not just says they do! So I just wasted $140 because they don't don't know how to put them on and don't, want to do anything about it. I don't live in town. I'm out of town and they should refund me but they won't! I was just washing my face and boom another nail popped off into the sink! I called the Nail Spa and told them that a week ago I got gel X nails and they're popping off left and right and the manager said there's nothing he can do about that and that that girl who did my nails is the gel X expert ... If you go to Venus nails don't get the gel X or if you do understand, they are going to do the worst job ever! I have had my gel X nails last without lifting or popping off for five weeks plus, but when an expert had put them on.... read more

Went to get french tip nails 2 days ago. Top coat is already peeling off, nails were done messy, and completely unsanitary from my technician dropping brushes and picking them right back up reusing files from a customer right before me and not only that but for a basic French design it took 2 1/2 hours which caused me to stay over there closing time which the people at the front desk did not like and were being very rude. The acrylic is spilling over the tip giving it a droopy effect. The acrylic is also extremely thin on fingers not a cute look. Would not recommend this salon at all to anyone. read more

Communication was not great and my pedicure was way overpriced for a poor job. I was quoted 75 and was charged 100!

The lady that did my nails yesterday was very professional but I am not happy with how they look. Most of all there is polish over my cuticle and the acrylic was applied in a sloppy manner. My nails are too thick for me and look nothing alike. read more

I hate to leave bad reviews but I felt like it must be made aware to the people spend a lot of money on nails (I am one of them) I've tried to give them chances to be better, and yet I highly recommend you don't go here for acrylics. They are always polite, until you ask them to fix something. The first time I went I got simple white French tips, they did them while I got my toes done which turned out good, the acrylic was sloppy, it was all over my fingers and flooding my cuticles. The French tip design (most basic design you could for) was so uneven I had to ask her to redo some of them, which the nail tech didn't like and the switched me to someone else for just the top coat. After one day one of my nails popped off which has never happened so soon to me and I've been getting my nails done for about 7 years. I had to go back and get it fixed the next day. I went again this weekend to give them another chance and I got the same design (a French tip) and it was better but the acrylic is what worried me, the lady didn't bother to fix one nail I asked her too and it's been two days since I've been and one of my nails throbbing. The nail tech flooded my cuticles once again, got acrylic all over my fingers. I now believe one of my nails is infection because she filled the nail crevice with acrylic. I will have to go to another salon to get it fixed. Highly DONT recommend going here. I have tested the waters on this salon and I'll tell you that going 2 times is all I need to see of their customer service, design work (for a French tip), and the lack of neatness/safety of your nails. I wish I could give these salon a -5 stars for wasting my money, time, and having to go back everytime to fix something. The managers need to review their nails techs work. read more

okay I hate leaving bad reviews but this was awful. I got a pedicure, just a basic one but it was all kinds of messed up. First, the guy didn't soak off my old gel. He literally ripped it off and with that, HALF OF MY TOENAIL. it was insane, honestly that's never happened to me before and I was shocked into silence (after doing everything in my power to not scream), and the pedicure finished with cuticle oil on my legs instead of lotion. I just went in to get my nails removed. Took 1 hour and 30 minutes to get them off, and when he tried to take them off with a nail tip i just knew this wasn't the place for me. I asked him if it was okay if we did a soak off instead and he agreed but continued to try to use the nail tip to rip my nail up. He also used my acetone to clean his electric file tip while my hands were in the bowl. read more

I walked in with a friend to get waxing services. The hostess was very friendly, and it was a easy check in process! We were told we could go to the back room shortly after check-in I inquired as to whether or not they meant both of us and she said yes, I assume there would be two rooms, but they were the only 1 so I definitely was not a fan that they assumed we were "together" which was really awkward but the experience has made us closer lol lol The technician was very quick and friendly but unfortunately, this was the first time that I've ever had services where it was not completely clean so I would highly suggest checking prior to leaving the waxing room to make sure that the area serviced is free of unwanted hair. I enjoyed the extra touch of the pillow used on the waxing table. It was very comfortable and relaxing. Overall, it was a nice experience and I would recommend. read more

The establishment is nice and staff friendly. I was serviced by a younger man, seems like he was new to the profession. His intentions were noted, but the service overall was very poor. My feet were not buffed to standard, my nails weren't filed evenly and my polish was messy. This young man needs more time in training before he's allowed to service clients at full cost! No one even came over to check his work. Very very upset, I could of did a better job at home! read more

This is only my second time here, BUT, I wasn't very happy with my service I received. To start off I had wanted a short set of almond, but I didn't get it. That I don't mind so much because I probably should have reiterated that as there was 3 different people who worked on me. However, when the third person came, he seemed very annoyed and like he didn't want to be there, and was going very fast which left my nails messed up. Some of the nails are cut unevenly, and some are shorter than the others, which is pretty upsetting. They aren't really shaped the same either. On top of that, I understand that things happen, but part of my finger got totally cut with the drill and still burns. Just not my favorite experience. read more

Cute spot , they offer drinks too which was new for me. But it's nice to know you can have a pedicure while sipping on a some Prosecco. I came in for a pedicure and eyebrow wax & ended up paying about $70 including tip. Esthetician was super nice and friendly, I would definitely come here again, enjoy! This was my first time coming to this place. They had really good reviews so I had high expectations. The drinks were good, however our pedicure experience was not great. Don did my cousin's pedicure and he made her feel very uncomfortable. She was trying to adjust her seat so that she can extend her legs (she has long legs) and don kept adjusting her seat back and moving her legs in a position where she would have her legs open (she was wearing shorts). She is also a minor and he knew that as he was asking her questions. Don also took a little break during her pedicure to smoke, he came back smelling like cigarettes. He also messed up on her nail polish and what was supposed to be an hour pedicure turned into 2 long hours. I wanted to come back because the prices were really good, however I feel unsafe. read more

I don't typically do reviews, but I felt like this needed to be said and I want management to see my complaint so they know why they are probably losing business. My daughter and I called ahead to get a pedicure each and she wanted a child polish and I had intended on getting a nail dip. We were told earlier in the day that they were pretty busy and said 4:30 worked better, so i gave my name and we showed up at about 4:10. We sat and waited and then eventually were taken back but seemed to be pretty much forgotten. When someone did decide to come over we explained what we wanted and she started doing my daughters toes. Her pedicure was rushed and then her manicure was started. When it was not what we asked for I told her right away, that's not what we wanted and explained again. She got mad at us for some reason and ended up getting someone else. We explained again what she wanted which was just gold paint with a white heart on one nail. Everything seemed situated and seemed to be going okay, until I saw the hearts which were essentially blobs, even though there were other little girls in the salon that had beautiful hearts done. My pedicure came last, at this point we had been there for over an hour and 45 mins, and it literally took a couple of mins to complete even though it shouldn't have. The lady who dealt with us had a bad attitude the entire time and despite the fact that we tried to explain what we wanted she just kept getting mad. In the end we spent $70 and left with bad nails, polish in places it didn't belong, and I didn't know even get my nails done at all. I understand being busy, but if you're too busy to do even a half decent job without getting mad at the customers, then don't tell clients to come in before closing time. Other than the two years when COVID-19 arrived, I have had nails for 35+ years and have been taken care of by outstanding techs and have been given poor service by other techs. first and last time there. when we got there I asked for pedi and nails dipped both at same time. got the pedi with smudged nail polish. never got my nails done because I would have had to wait and my daughter was already done and sitting in car. I would also have had to wait to fix the toes. owner gave me my polish as his rude sidekick was going to charge me 10.00 on top of the 47 I paid for smudged toenails. owners sidekick was rude beyond anything. our normal nail place was closed. will never return to Venus read more
