Workmen dragged full wheelbarrows of concrete mix from the front of our house to our backyard. They…read moredid this for days so they made a deep trench in the grass between our house and our neighbor's. We texted pics of the damage to our neighbor with a promise to lay sod as soon as the work was completed. Finally! The work is completed. Whoo hoo! I knew to buy sod from Nu-Turf because I've done so a couple of times through the years. They are really nice guys and their St. Augustine sod is hearty. You can see it's grown in rich soil - look at the pics of the underside of the sheets of sod! We didn't even have to go to their shop to get great service. They make it easy - we actually called them on Monday, enroute to go shopping, to arrange for half of a pallet to be delivered to our house on Saturday. We weren't sure if we needed a full pallet and the guy who we spoke with told us that half of a pallet has about 40 pieces. That'd do it! We ordered half of a pallet ($135). There's a $45 delivery fee and a $6 pallet deposit fee so we'll return the pallet this week. They delivered the sod with no problem. They even asked us where we wanted the pallet dropped - we chose the swale between two main areas needing sod so we didn't have to go far to lay the sod. The sod sheets are approximately a foot and a half by two feet. We had enough to fill in the trench from the wheelbarrow, the dead zone where pallets of pavers sat on our front lawn and other bald work areas around the property. The product is great. The price is right. The guys were easy to work with and consultative. Don't you love it when companies come through for you? Years ago the guys in the shop turned me on to a retractable rake and plant hormone - I still use both and think that if I didn't shop at Nu-Turf I would have lost out on having insight about what to use and how to use it. Small Business Saturday is right around the corner - what a great time to buy from them!

The owner himself came out initially rather than a salesperson. Phil is a great guy, someone you want to do business with. Save yourself some money and get the job done right. I was impressed with the selection of quality turf material he offered me. I went with a two tone green with some realistic looking brownish thatch at the bottom. The finished look is a great improvement to my backyard pool area. I'm very picky and somewhat of a perfectionist. The sub-base they installed was flat with no humps and graded perfectly. It was amazing how they went right up to my existing curved landscape edging flawlessly. The seams were minimized and virtually invisible. The over 400 square foot job was completed in one day with his crew of talented installers. I am extremely happy with the pet turf he installed. My dog loves his new play area. Professional team and such great work ! Couldn't be happier with the project of the side yard for the play area for our house/son. It makes such a difference too ! Very clean and it's been 2+ months and still just as good as the day it was installed. We contemplated on re-sodding the side yard but after our friends used this company for their backyard, we were sold ! They have 3 levels of synthetic product. For the play area side we chose the middle one and for the other side of the house we chose the lower end as it is just AC unit. Both look and feel great and have a nice quality. Not too prickly/hard and has a soft touch so you can easily walk or play barefoot. Easy to clean with taking a hose to wash off and even if something is sitting on the turf for awhile, once removed, the turf pops back to its original fluff. Doesn't get hot either like the playground turf. Would highly recommend Carlos that we worked with and employees were professional and efficient. Thank you for the great work and product ! Carlos was able to get us in on a cancellation for our second project and they finished in a few hours !
