Namuun did a great job on my gel x manicure. She listened and took her time to give me what I wanted- A simple, clean, manicure. Thank you, I am very happy!

I got pink chrome by the best of the best Amanda!!!! Tried to capture my nails in different light and angles because a normal photo doesn't do any justice. The shape is perfect I can't stop looking at them they look like I have press ons. The color is exactly what I asked too!! She's such a perfectionist I cant get over her attention to details! I will always recommend Amanda to everyone I know

Service was amazing! She took her time with my nails she was super gentle. The vibe is very relaxing. My Go to nail salon. It's been a month and they are still on my nails. Love it here

    Nails messed up

Quality of nails not good. Got them down while on vacation in DC. Started chipping two days after service. Day 5 and top coat is coming off. Have to get them fixed.

I was visiting the wharf and had some downtime so I walked over when this place opened and even though I didn't have an appointment, they got me in quickly. They had a group of people waiting after a bit, but I never felt rushed. The place is clean and pleasant-- calm as well-- not too much chatting. I got a spa pedicure (honey/milk) and it was great-- I was in there for over an hour and the technician, Lily was so patient and diligent. I hadn't picked out colors before hand so I told her what I wanted and she took the time to pick the right fit. Now, over a week later, my pedicure looks good as new and my feet are still so soft. I like that they didn't push me into trying to get other services and let me enjoy getting pampered.

Clean establishment. Masking not required but plexiglass separators still in place for clients. Adequate color selection. Overpriced Gel mani-pedi that has already chipped after 3 days. The point of gel is its lasting effect. Right on the wharf so this is probably the reason for the high prices.

Made an online appointment about 4 ish for 530 called at 430 asked if I could come in at 5 if possible if not 530 is ok. They said we can't, but 530 works. then I get a text at 515 as i'm headed down there saying it's canceled. I called and they were rude, and finally they said yes. I sat down about 535, was already done by 550, rude and fast. nails turned out ok, she was mad I accidentally scraped the nail when putting under the lights. But where the light is placed and being rushed it's easy to hit. Expensive for the fast and poor service they have here, have a feeling this will chip fast.

I've been there four times total, and they've given great service every visit. I had a lady who cleaned up my cracked nail situation quite nicely--put on the tips--and recommended SNS for my nail shape to have a better experience, since apparently I have uniquely shaped nails. I want to say her name is Nicole? Very cheerful atmosphere, as well. Recommended for a no-frills, quick, and inexpensive mani-pedi experience.

Filed my nail down so far that my nails are throbbing in pain when I asked to remove what they started on my nails

I went in for a basic mani & French pedi. Now for those that get French - we know it's a specialized service (meaning they upcharge for it). A specialized service needs a specialist. While the nail tech was polite and tried her best, you could tell that wasn't her speciality and with the language barrier it was hard communicating exactly what was needed. Plus I think techs today put more effort into those that get gel/acrylic etc over basic/natural which is disappointing. She asked me if I wanted my toes cut down (I said yes) but she ended up filing them so they were still long. The towels are pretty dingy and they dry your feet with the same towel they work on, cuticle clean up was great but the leg massage was way too much pressure. I asked for bubble bath nail color but they gave me a purple equivalent & I had to ask for a 2nd coat. The white lines aren't crispy, & while I appreciate her trying to emulate the look I had when I came in, I think it would've been better if she just did her own thing. The manicure was standard, she skipped a few nails and had to go back. I asked for square square all around (hands & feet) but ended up with round square. Again, she was sweet & polite but for $78 - it wasn't worth the experience, especially not the French because my toe nails are still long so you can barely see the white tips and the color gives more of a purple than pink

Julie did my acrylic fill with gel polish and added a simple, cute flower design just in time for my birthday. She did a phenomenal job! I've been consistently getting my nails done for about 3 years, and she was one of my favorite techs. She gave me great ideas and was so patient with me, which really helped because I could not decide on a color! The only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because I scheduled an appointment for 5:00 PM but wasn't seen until around 5:20 PM since they were running behind. They only have a certain number of nail techs who do acrylics, which I completely understand. I just wanted to mention it in case you're in a time crunch and are scheduling a specific service--it's possible your appointment could get pushed back. That said, I personally didn't mind waiting, and I'm really happy with how my nails turned out!

The color selection is poor, and the swatches rarely match the color that actually ends up on your nails. Every time I've gone, I've been unhappy with the shape or quality of my manicure. My nails frequently chip or break much sooner than they should (days after getting them done), but given the location I justified the shortcomings. Today, I made an appointment with a specific technician, only to be told (15 minutes after I arrived) that they had been overbooked. My options were to wait an hour or see someone else whenever they had time because they had accepted too many appointments. Poor quality, poor organization, and consistently disappointing results. I gave this place far more chances than it deserved, I would not recommend this salon.

I originally came in for a pedicure and a full set, but I ended up not getting the full set I'll explain why. When I sat down, I was never asked if I wanted a drink, while other white customers around me were. I was also not given a menu to choose the type of pedicure I wanted. That immediately rubbed me the wrong way treat everyone the same. I asked for square nails and told her multiple times not to round them, yet she continued to do so anyway. I requested French toes with a soft pink base and black tips, but she acted like she couldn't find the colors. At that point, I told her to just do solid black to keep it moving. When we went to her nail station, I showed her the reference for the full set pink acrylic with a black French tip. She tried to tell me it wasn't possible and claimed she only had gel polish. I had to pull up a TikTok and show her, and suddenly she understood exactly what I meant. By then, I already knew my nails were about to be messed up, so I told her to just do a manicure instead. I paid over $100, and my polish is already peeling off. On top of that, the tools do not appear to be properly disinfected, which is unacceptable. I am a board-certified esthetician, and this experience was extremely unprofessional. Connie was careless, and this salon overall was a huge disappointment. I will not be returning. So pissed my gel polish is already coming off..

However, they didn't have times available, so I opted to go to the Navy Yard instead. Both locations are clean and relaxing. I also like their no-phone policy. The Navy Yard experience, however, was average. I requested their standard manicure and the luxe pedicure. Two technicians worked on me at the same time and finished at the same time - within the hour, which was great. (One minor issue- they don't roll to your other side, so you're forced to bend your arm uncomfortably toward them, which kills the experience a little.) This was my first time getting the luxe pedicure, and while they used an extra jelly moisturizer for five minutes and a quick scrub, it felt similar to the main lane (what they call their standard mani). So I probably won't opt for that again. The massage was the same length as given at the MVT location. One of the techs noted the color was sheer, and I asked for an additional layer, which they've done no problem at MVT. But she was firm that she was only doing two. Ok friend, then why ask me if I want it sheer? The layers applied were laughably thin. I get that's necessary for a good mani/pedi, but the first application barely had any polish applied. And the mani was even thinner to the point that it looked splotchy in normal lighting. The tech working on my hands also didn't get the edges well. A tad disappointed given the price but lesson learned...I'm only going to MVT from now on.

I thought the store was cute and looked "professional", It turned out it is just look...nothing professional. I came here cause I was around to have lunch and thought since I have some time before meeting my friends around I'll do a manicure besides waiting around by the pier. Walked in and no one welcomed me and the receptionist was somewhere hidden in the back, already a red flag but I thought I had time to spend so I'll wait. Well a good 5 mins here she comes and she polite, but once she sat me down she's back to her phone call with a friend or something, not at the front. Ok? That already doesn't look good. Then the manicure, it was nice a clean up and the guy who did it was careful and paitent with my nails, good service. But then I showed him the design which he says he doesn't do designs, so a girl helped me instead. She's nice as well, but her skill is 0. I feel bad to say, but I can't believe she doesn't have any sense in nail art. It's terrible, and I can definitely do it myself... and better! If it's just not good enough I'll take it (cause I'm a painter so it's hard to be on my OCD level), but she's... not a nail art artist at all!!! Omg?! How are they trained to do this job but is less than a normal person doing it for a friend? I hope my photos show you the quality as evidence. Please don't go there. I also costed me $70+ (tips included) just for a manicure with "design". I'm pretty upset, but at the same time I know this my own fault to not research beforehand. Annnnd I am buying a nail gel set now cause it's just hard to find a good nail artist in DC! Even with a fancy nail store, they tend to do a mediocre job. Not recommend and spend your money with 1 manicure here for 2 manicures somewhere else!
