I was very anxious about getting new insulation and unconvinced it would solve how hot it gets upstairs during warm days. Joseph was the answer! He and his crew cleaned out tons of old insulation and dirt upstairs and completed the job in one day. He also added in patching a hole in our ceiling that came from my fiance attempting to check things out himself (lol). We recently purchased a 1960s built home with poor insulation, especially for our 1 year old's corner room. Joseph was very responsive and was able to come out very quickly to do an estimate. I decided to go with Joseph as he was the quickest to respond, had very fair pricing (we got quotes from 2 other places to confirm), had great reviews, and specialized in doing exterior wall insulation by drilling stucco and doing blown-in insulation from outside the house. This was important for us as we had already moved in and didn't want all the disruption and mess of doing the doing the insulation work from inside the house. We had Joseph's crew do the attic and exterior walls over 2 days. He was upfront with us that the stucco patches wouldn't be a perfect 100% match. Most contractors would set unrealistic expectations to get your business, but Joseph was honest about the process. I had some stucco work done previously (from a different GC) so I already knew what to expect. The insulation upgrades definitely made a difference. We can noticeably feel our home is a few degrees warmer throughout the house in the cold mornings, especially in our child's room. We've already noticed the heater kicking on less frequently and for shorter duration so this was money well spent. It should save in heating/cooling cost in the long run and we'll be much more comfortable during the winter. Lastly, the finished stucco looked fantastic. When Joseph was completely done with the paint, I had a hard time finding where all the drilled holes were when I was doing my final walkthrough. The texture matching was very good and much better compared to the stucco patch work I got from a separate GC. I had leftover paint from when my house was last painted so that made the paint matching easier. If/when we decide to also do the crawl space ceiling (subfloor) insulation, I'll definitely go with Joseph again. read more

I would give Joseph 6 stars if I could. We had him come in and install new blow-in insulation in our attic following a renovation and we couldn't be happier with the results. I first called around a couple of months ago and Joseph was one of the first to return my calls. He was extremely helpful over the phone, walked me through the insulation options, gave me an accurate ballpark of the cost of work to be done (which was very competitive) and a range of dates. I originally scheduled him to come in when my family was out of town, but when they returned early he was very accommodating and we rescheduled a few weeks later (my schedule, not his). When the time came, he verified ahead of time, showed up exactly on time, and finished the work in just a few hours. I was worried that we would have to get the baby and dog out of the house for the day but in the end their work was so clean and quiet that both slept right through it! The job itself was very clean and Joseph took a couple of hours of prep to make sure everything was sealed off to minimize any sort of air gaps. He took pictures throughout the process and carefully explained everything to both my wife and I. The results were amazing - Joseph estimated it would make a 30%-40% difference and in the days since it was done we haven't had to turn the AC or furnace on once to keep the house at a steady temperature. Joseph and the gentleman helping him were both great. Very friendly, professional, hard-working, and good communicators throughout. Price was very fair; exactly as quoted. We barely survived last summer's 100 degree days in our 1950s home, and with shelter in place likely to last through the summer, we knew that we needed to do something to make life bearable. Before looking into installing AC, we wanted to see how much adding wall insulation would help.
