The studio space is massive compared to others in the area and extremely clean. As soon as you walk in you feel welcomed by all. The entire vibe of the studio is incredibly inviting and not something I have ever experienced before in other studios in Bergen county. It feels like a true community of great people with no judgment. Rachel the owner is wonderful. She is so sweet and extremely experienced in her practice and makes a point to learn who all her students are. Giving relaxing, yet unique and strong classes. I try my best to catch her classes when I can. Erica is also incredible. Her classes are vibrant and fun, while providing a true yoga experience with dharma, guided breath work and movement at your pace. She makes sure to say hello and chat with all her current and new students before every class. I am literally mind blown every time with how personable everyone is. I have also taken Danielle and Josh and both are equally amazing as well. I have never been able to find a studio with multiple instructors I love and I knew when I did at Flow I found my yoga home. This yoga studio is an absolute gem and has given me such an amazing experience over the past few months I am going to classes upwards of three times a week, which I have never done in the 10 years I've practiced. They offer many classes throughout the week, mainly heated vinyasa. I've never taken a class with an instructor I didn't like. All staff is extremely kind, welcoming, and knowledgeable. The studio is always very clean and well kept. Super zen vibe the moment you walk in. I prefer this studio to the Mahwah location, but they're both very inviting. Highly recommend this studio for challenging flows and great mind-body connection. I appreciate how the classes here aren't "workout" focused as a lot of other studios are. You definitely sweat, but the main intention of the class is to move with your breath and do actual yoga!

For my introductory class, I signed up for their Core Pilates. It was really difficult to sign up. I had a hard time getting in contact with anyone (it took about 4 attempts). But when I finally did, the sign up process was easy. They had a lot of classes to pick from, including Pilates, Barre and cardio classes. I didn't realize when I signed up that this was a reformer class. I usually do mat Pilates, but there were a few other beginners in the class and the teacher was very patient and nice. The great thing about the reformer machine is that you can turn up or turn down the intensity of the workout according to where you're at. It does take more coordination than I'm used to being on the machine, but it was fun! The teacher helped make adjustments so I could get the maximum benefit, which I appreciated. The Hackensack facility was really nice and big. They had complimentary lockers and towels and the changing room and restroom were both clean. The membership is kind of steep at $279 per month, but they do have discounts for 26 years old and under an 65 years old and over at their other locations.

At my most recent visit to Ridgewood RHY, they went against their own policy and gave my spot away to someone else less than 5 minutes after class started. I was late due to lack of parking. I've been on the other end of this policy at multiple locations, waiting on standby in the event that someone was a no-show, and had to wait the full five minutes. Ive been turned away before because the person running late arrived at the last second. I totally get it! However, the same courtesy was not extended to me. I'm really disappointed, and probably won't visit this location again soon because of this.

But after leaving a message to make an appointment and getting contacted immediately by the most pleasant person I decided I would go. I went on a monday afternoon when there were no classes in session and was greeted by a warm receptionist I believe was named Alexandria. She was very nice and friendly and explained all the procedures for the session. The facility was beautiful and well kept. I was glad that I went and will consider going again even though the facility is a way from my home. I hope to participate in some yoga classes before my next session. Among the studios I've seen, Powerflow in Clifton is gorgeous- new, immaculate, with adequate space for changing and showering. There is adequate parking behind the Grimaldis pizza in case you need to reward yourself after a good workout ;) There is only one studio but it is spacious with natural light and mirrors (if you're a visual person like me and you need to check out your asanas). The heating radiates from the floor so you don't have uneven or dry gusts of air. I believe they rent mats and they have a nice shop for mats, clothes, towels, and cold drinks. The prices for classes are reasonable and come in different amounts so you can either check it out or dive right in.
