While Dr. Gadi is great, the rest of the office/practice is horrible. The front desk staff is less than helpful and it takes multiple calls, messages, and follow up to receive any information from them. I had an appt in November of 2024 and was told to get bloodwork. I asked the front desk about scheduling a follow up to discuss results, which I was told I was not allowed to do and that a nurse would call me to discuss instead. Never heard back from the office and it took months of me calling and leaving messages to finally be told to schedule an additional virtual appt in February of 2025. Same issue with the billing dept - called over a multi week period and left multiple messages. Was told I would receive a call back and never did. The amount of time and energy I've spent trying to get in touch with this office and get information about MY health is disgusting. I really like Dr. Gadi, but will never come back here due to the rest of the office's incompetence. read more

When I called the office they assured me that they take my insurance. When 3 weeks later we came for my daughter's appointment, they wanted $200 co-pay because they are out of network!!! I stayrd bc it was urgent and my child was suffering, but it never set right with me. Then the dr kept pushing allergy shots even before all the results were in. It seemed to be the only solution he has for everything regardkess of the results. He also told me my daughter had beginning stages of asthma, which turned out to be not true. The front desk and staff are nice which I feel so bad for because they have to work for this nasty doctor. He is very arrogant. I brought my one year old there for an allergy test. An allergy test is ready within 15 minutes. He had me waiting for 40 minutes to read his allergy results while my child was running around shirtless in a cold office to just come in my room and walk out due to a juice being spilt on the floor. He freaked out because the floor was sticky, literally through a little tantrun over it. I came there with two kids which he had me there waiting for 2 hours. My older kid spilt a little apple juice and I had tried my best to clean it. This place had me with two little children in a tiny room for two hours in total. I spoke to other parents and they have told me they had negative experiences with this doctor. Please avoid this place and don't waste your time coming here. I saw previous reviews of this place and I should have listened. I was desprete because my son is having very bad allergy outbreaks and this place was the closest to me. If you have high deductable, avoid this place. I saw they have 5 star reviews on google for Syosset office, so I visited there to have my kid allergy test. And they claimed $1200 for food allergy skin test and over 1/3 of the price went to my deductible. I got a statement of over $500 for one single visit skin test for my kid. Not sure what the other persons are talking about. I have been going to Dr Avshalomov's office for asthma and allergy care for a long time. He is the most detailed and careful doctor I have seen. He is genuinely interested in the overall patient. I credit him with saving my life as he sent me for an X-ray that indicated I need further testing. This led to a major surgery that saved my life. I also realize that the front desk staff is top quality as they are very professional and friendly. They are also trained in various aspects of running the office. I can call them at anytime and they are able to answer questions with in minutes. This office caters to children and adults. They also cater to adults who act like kids when they see a needle( lol) The doctor is very patient and kind. His bedside manner is excellent. If you need a great doctor who is tops in the field of asthma and allergy care Dr Gadi is the way to go. read more

I personally had a very positive experience with this doctor. He is extremely smart and helpful. I was getting sick monthly until I visited his office and so far so good *fingers crossed.* His staff is also very nice. Especially Yulia who was soooo helpful whenever it came to insurance questions or making appointments! She is a real doll :) I don't know why others are complaining about wait times because I've never waited for more than ten minutes. The front desk staff were not friendly or helpful. I was never told that my insurance was out of network and received a bill two months later for a balance after having paid copays on my visits. Additionally, for my first copay I used my credit card and for my second test they did not accept my credit card for payment stating that the first time was a courtesy (unbeknownst to me) and that I would have to walk across the street to get cash of which they then had no change for me. They were rude and did not even look up from their desks to answer my questions. The doctor and PA were nice however I had to inquire at the front desk about medication for my symptoms as opposed to being told by the doctor. I dont understand some of these reviews, when I went to their office I was greeted by many receptionists and i did not have to wait long, not to mention the office happens to be very big. I assume for the few that are located in a different office are small. Upon proper intake and a very small wait time I was put in a room and greeted with a wonderful assistant who asked me all my issues and answered all my questions. The doctor is hysterical, the moment he walked in the room he gave off a very good aura. He is very upbeat and has a great personality. For those of you who lack the experience or just simply dont have a sense of humor I suggest you open your mind. Most doctors have a dry, sarcastic humor. It comes with the territory, simply put. Just cause you dont understand doesnt mean they are rude or obnoxious, you just aren't in the loop. I love doctors with dry sarcastic humor, makes the experience more fun. My boyfriend was planning to make an appointment but he was not able to due to the rude staff that this doctor has working for him. He called and the lady took his number and said she'll call him back but she never called back even hours later. When he called her back she started to take down his info and then cut him off by saying she had patients to take care of first and she would call back at a better time. My son has been seeing Dr Gadi Avshalomov for few years now since he start showing allergy symptoms. Sure at first it was all confusing and not clear, but thanks god we were referred to such an amazing Doctor. Its a lot doctors who miss diagnose in my own experience , but this Doctor is such an amazing human being I trust him 100% or even higher then that. Allergy shots have helped my son so much, he progressed so much over the years, his immunity system got so much stronger he is barely sick during the year. I love the girls at front desk, always helpful and giving their 100%, waiting time is about 5-10 min since we always going to early appointments, but sure sometimes when the office is busy we have to wait longer which is never over 20 min. The nurses are very friendly they have amazing people skills, my son loves everyone in this office so much.. I always recommend Dr Gadi to all my friends I am pretty sure some of them went to him after they had bad experience somewhere else and they were very thankful that I recommend him and very pleased. After years of not knowing why I was always congested and fatigued, Dr Gadi did extensive testing and came up with many things I was allergic to. I started allergy shots and pills and am now much much better. I cannot say enough about the incredible staff there. Friendly, nice, and pleasant. Yes, there is a wait when I need to see the doctor, as I experience in almost every doctor I go to, but for the weekly shots they have a very efficient system. Wouldn't give him a star. Have been taking my children to him for 2 years and I am done. He is arrogant, completely full of himself, egotistical and doesn't know how to run an office Expect a 1 1 /2 to 2 hours wait to even be seen. Then another 45mins for allergy testing and or treatment. They always triple book appointments. I have seen babies waiting for that amount of time and they look at the parent as if something is wrong with them and their baby if they complain. He told me we should be lucky to have a doctor like him that takes all insurances so he can treat brooklyn residents because no other allergist would do that. He goes on and on with his political rants and how Obamacare destroyed our healthcare system. Yet he can't spare 5 mins to answer questions concerning my child's allergies. I was told I have 2 options to treat my childs dog allergy: come in every week for allergy shots or"put down your senior dog because he is old and probably suffering anyway". Dr Gadi has been treating my son for over 5 years. He was born with RSV and asthma from day one . I almost lost him day 5 he was turning blue. My son was hospitalized over 20 times and at least 40 ER visits over the course of 11 years for asthma issues . I put the allergist off as long as I could but my pulmonologist kept pushing me . At one point y son had lung disease I cant tell you how helpless he was, one time he collapsed on the floor in the ER ... Dr Gadi is a true doctor, I didnt believe him at first, but I am a true believer he has saved my sons life. He has not had an asthma attack within the last 5 years. I think this was one of the worst doctor experiences in my life. I went in because I have had a cough for a month now and A little trouble breathing since I recently had bronchitis. I am not good with needles and etc. Before the doctor came in my room he was talking badly about another patient saying " how can't they fill out the forms they speak English". Then when he came into my room he insisted I got an allergy test which I was against because I faint and I have a history of asthma so I did not want one I just wanted a breathing test. They also made me take the breathing test piece with me back to my room to wait 15 min to get another test. As the piece is in my hand and nothing is covering it they kicked me out of my room and put me in the lobby so someone else can have my room. This upset me due to COVID 19 because if someone in that office had the virus ,the mouth piece I was going to use again was exposed in the air. After viewing my results the wonderful PA who was very patient said she was going to give me an inhaler. The doctor was so rude he came in and said since she's not getting an allergy test give her nothing and you can leave now. Quack alert: After developing seasonal allergies, I came in for a consultation and saw Dr. Gadi Avsholomov. Even in the waiting room I saw that everyone was there for allergy shots and realized what the office was doing, but since I came, I stuck around for a consultation anyway. The doctor completely ignored my telling him that the allergies are only in the spring and I wanted traditional allergy medicine... He proceeded to test me and oviously I came out positive for everything on this earth, dogs, cats, shrimp, dust, etc,etc... He asked me "what do you feel when you eat shrimp or pet a dog?" To which I replied "absolutely nothing", and he proceeded to tell me to get rid of our cat and make a commitment to come in his office for 3-5 years for allergy shots.... He saw that I wasn't buying it, and started saying that I will get asthma, emphysema, and die... He is not only a quack, buy he uses scare tactics to sell you five years of weekly shots. I really don't know what these other reviews are talking about. I was referred by my friend to see Dr. Gadi because she felt he helped her tremendously with allergies. Dr. Gadi helped me solve the mystery of my various ailments and also both of my children have been helped by Dr. Gadi. The office staff are very polite and I have been going for a year for allergy shots. They have been nothing but nice and helpful. Warning- be very careful with this doctor. He has history of mis diagnosing kids. Without any particular reason, he decided to test my daughter for asthma and said she needs to begin hormonal shot treatments and should carry inhaler . We decided to take her for 2nd opinion to a doctor in Manhattan who's been rated one of the best doctors. He was very surprised about this diagnoses and retested her. She doesn't have any asthma or symptoms that indicate asthma. Besides, it was suggested to run away from a doctor who considers hormonal shots for 9 year old with no symptoms. I wonder how many other kids are mis diagnosed and take unnecessary treatments. Sometimes I wonder if he performs tests just to bill the insurance and collect additional co pay. read more

Had a terrible experience. Waited an hour and forty five minutes to be seen. When I finally met him he was very arrogant and pretty much talked bad about my other doctors saying he can teach them things. That being the reason he wouldn't reach out to my doctor. Much like previous poster, Dr.Avshalomov badly misdiagnosed my 12.5 months old son. He performed over a 100 skin tests on him and announced that the child has a dog allergy. We came in with complaints of vomiting from dairy. He had no symptoms whatsoever of an environmental allergy. He then instructed us to get rid of our 11 year old dog. Removing the dog for over a month did nothing for my son's symptoms. Dr.Avshalomov then suggested medication commonly prescribed for children 6 and up. That's when we went for a second and third opinion. Turns out my son is lactose intolerant. That's it. No dog allergy...no meds needed. Six months later we received a $400+ bill for all those skin test that were needlessly performed. This on top of the two specialist copays we paid to have these tests done. In addition to all this the doctor has a tiny overcrowded office with a very rude receptionist. He himself spends around 2 minutes with a patient. Does not appear to be paying any attention to the complaint. I've seen him recommend a full panel of skin tests for pretty much everyone who walks into his office regardless of their complaint. If I could give this Dr a 0, I would! He misdiagnosed our son with an immune def. Our son is chronically sick and since family has an immune def (diagnosed by, who I like to call, Dr. Quack) we decided to get him tested. He ran allergy testing and told us he was allergic to cats, dogs, dust, and ragweed. He then told us that our son needed a booster because his levels were nonexistent for one of his shots that he got 4 months prior. He THEN told us that he had something called CVID. This is Common Variable Immune Def. It is a SERIOUS disease which can cause people to get transfusions. Our son was a little less then 2 years old and of course I cried for 4 days. On the 5th day my husband took our son back to Dr. Quack for the booster where he said he does not have CVID (I asked 4 times and was very specific) but does have an immune def. I sent the bloodworm to our ped who was completely confused. Said he never needed that booster and he does not see an immune def at all! Sent us for a 2nd opinion. Turns out our son is allergic to everything but not as severe as Dr. Quack told us. He also DOES NOT have an immune def and is just a normal 2 year old in daycare. He took 10 years off my life and I would NEVER recommend him to anyone!!!! He should have his license revoked for what he does to these children. He gave my son a booster that he didn't even need!!!! He BARELY answered any of my questions when I had them and blew me off on the phone and in his office. I wish they would investigate him...DISGUSTING and I'm still LIVID!!!!! DR.Gadi,is a hustler.He spends very little time with his patients.He does not accept that test results can at times be falsely positive or falsely negative.At some point you have to listen to your patients more than the test results and figure out if more tests need to be done.The patient is the one who has the discomforts.Lots of us who visit the doctor's office are not norvices.We belong to the health field and have done our research before hand.We may have information that you may or may not be aware of.Nothing remains the same.Discoveries are made everyday.The only requirement,Doctors and other professionals have to be tolerant and open-minded.You can and will learn form the simplest to the most complex people. read more
