Nate and Scot were both phenomenal and lighthearted instructors that took their time to really explain techniques, positions, and their decision making process. The most defining characteristics that stuck out to me was how down-to-earth and goofy Nate and Scot were during all classes. It makes you feel at ease and relaxed. No ego at all. Don't get me wrong -- they will absolutely destroy you during the advanced classes, but it was fun having the chance to roll with both of them and feeling the huge difference in skill level. All the classmates there are friendly, too! If you go to the non-fundamental classes, you'll have a great time rolling with the upper belts. The competition team was fantastic with Luis and Josh leading the way. Competition training was always fun and intense, but never out of control. Special thank you to Luis and Josh for taking time out of their weekends to come coach during competitions! You'll have a solid competition team to go compete with. If you have the chance to learn from Pat and Nick during the weekend classes, I would highly recommend it! Learning from these two high level black belts is always a good time. If you get a chance to roll with them, even better! Be prepared to be effortlessly destroyed by them. Only has a couple chances to learn from Ed before I left, but he was awesome!! 10/10 would recommend this place. I miss this academy and everyone in it! You'll love going here -- trust me! After work and with no car yet, I find myself stuck in my apartment with nothing to do and no nearby gym to go to for a workout. I am not the most sports-lovin' person, but I love attending kickboxing classes here! The instructors are all incredibly friendly and good, and even if you can't do a specific move there is always modifications available. It's an hour long and the first 10 minutes is usually the toughest - they make it fun! Classes switch up each week, working on different parts of your body. There are multiple class times available each day, which makes it really convenient if you miss your usual class - you can just join another! I usually go for the evening classes which have about 10-15 people, and starts off with around 20% bag work, and more circuit trainings/sets afterwards. Outside of the awesome workout itself, the studio is like a little Natick community.. lots of cute kids coming in for Jiu Jitsu, HIIT Kickboxers, parents waiting for their kids etc. I'm glad I found it!

It's just OK in my opinion…read more PROS: -multiple class times, at varying times -good workout CONS: -no place to change -no place to get water but the bathroom sink -built in with a martial arts studio, so there are children everywhere -no commoradrie amongst fellow class goers -they have no adults running the counters. They all appear to be teenagers, so they don't have customer service one could hope for. -they're a little extreme with their shoe policy. You can't wear shoes from the outside inside, and prepare to have one of the teenagers tell you off. If you're like me and accidentally wear them into the parking lot to grab something from you car, prepare to take them off and do the workout barefoot. So, take what you will from it!

At the prompting of a dear friend from my old gym to try Upperkuts, I did and have never looked back. I was not interested in any fancy "chain" gym, but rather a legit boxing gym. A.J. is the best, most compassionate and caring business owner. He has made a successful home to people from every walk of life and fitness level. He's constantly improving and introducing things to the gym for the betterment and enjoyment of everyone. I have had classes with Coaches Tony, Adel, Amy, Dylan, and Bianca, and every single class has left me challenged and sweat-soaked. From beginner to knowing boxing, there is something here for everyone. I have made friends here, and Upperkuts has helped me achieve goals of transforming my mind and body after too much time taken off from boxing. Most of all, I have had fun here while achieving a new level of fitness every time I walk through the door.

The coach that I take lessons from, Ovi, is hands down one of the best coaches I've ever had the opportunity to work with, in any sport that I've ever participated in. It was the best decision I have ever made for my daughter. My daughter has gained so much confidence by being there. The instructors are top notch. Their enthusiasm in each class makes me want to get back to class as well. They take the time to get to know my daughter and help her with her struggles in TKD. By doing that, it helped her persevere not only at Tkd but also at school. Kudos to the instructors. You don't know it but YOU make a difference in my daughters life. Most of all, I love how everyone there is like family. Hanmi TKD recently started a completion training class which my daughter attends. She loves it. Not only does she practice her competition forms but also get out of her comfort zone and compete at tournaments. There, every single parent, student and instructors cheer on each other. i love how the instructors goes with them to all the completions. Not many schools does that. All in all, we love Hanmi TKD. my son who's 4 years old just started and I can't wait to get my youngest daughter ( 2 years old) in there as well.
